Op is emphasizing on the domination of PDP being they the ruling party for more than 16 years in which their presidential candidates for each term defeated buhari for 12 years which leads to the popular saying that; "if you can't beat them, join them" but buhari despite being defeated by them for several years he didn't join them and didn't give up on his challenge to beat them and started forming allies elsewhere and jumping/merging from one party to another till he accomplished his mission. He just disproved their saying of if you can't beat them join them and proved the more popular saying of; "quitters never win and winners never quit".
