kay29000:The Bokku store in my area sells their bread 1,300, nylon 120. If you add the cost of flour, sugar, wheat and other ingredients, how much profit do you think they make per bread? Even if 100 people buys it every day, how much profit do you think they'll be making? And the problem here is that they have their stores clustered around each other, so if you buy from this store today, you might choose to buy from another one tomorrow. So where's their profit coming from? |
Yet the FG keeps borrowing hopelessly like Nigerians who patronize online loans. |
Mariangeles:For real. I don't know sha, the only thing I buy from them is their bread. GloriousGbola:So how do they make their profit considering the millions they spent on investment? |
kay29000:Lol. In my area, I've counted about 4 of their stores within walking distance from each other. It's not like they're into tech that one can easily conclude that they can rake in hundreds of millions as turnover at the end of the year if their services is accepted worldwide. They sell regular groceries which you can easily get at cheaper rates from mallams and shops within your neighborhood. So what's their profit margin considering how much they spend on staff salaries, electricity, building cost, taxes...etc. Are they making profit at all? |
kay29000:They're yet to tell us what they're really into. Cos you can't tell me that you'll keep investing hundreds of millions on properties just to sell regular groceries people can get anywhere. What's their profit margin to begin with? |
yewit37486:This makes more sense. Spending 120k every 10 months makes more sense than spending 200k. Thanks. |
yewit37486:800/12 is 66. So I'll have to manage 66GB every month for 12 months. If I'm complaining that 75GB monthly isn't enough, 66GB would be worse. So aside the fact that the 800GB yearly would be much cheaper than paying 20k every month for 75GB, it still wouldn't solve my problem. If they had like a 1.5TB plan, one can consider it. |
Roban only operates in the South East. I've never seen any of their stores outside the southeast. But you see that Bokku eh, the rate at which they open stores is scary. I was telling someone that it might be owned by a politician cos even in my area, they've bought all the old buildings and transformed them into their supermarket. The cost of such investments isn't a joke. You've got to have billions on ground to be able to keep up with the pace. |
The only reason why the governor and Dave himself were running helter skelter to ensure that the bridge is reopened was because the massive traffic jam affected the elites in Lagos. So hundreds of calls were hitting their mobile phones from these elites, forcing them to order the reopening with immediate effect. If that bridge was at Okokomiko or Ikorodu or Yaba, believe me, they'll close it for 2 years and nothing would happen. |
christejames:With the way fulani herdsmen are killing Ndi Enugu unchallenged, and how's he's playing the mute role, are you sure that there would be anyone left for him to govern by 2027. |
Offpoint1:Lol..South Africa wouldn't win all their remaining 4 matches as well. We just need to be focused. Our opponents aren't difficult, it's just that they don't play with a pattern. |
masterfactor:I exhaust close to 20GB every week. I do load 75GB every month and as weird as it might sound, it finishes before the end of the month. MTN are just criminals. I don't blame them though, we have a government that doesn't care about her citizens.
|
emmaodet:Ok. |
emmaodet:Oh! Do you know how much the initial payment was? |
We can still make it. If we win our remaining 4 matches, we'll be on 16 points, if south Africa drops points and we defeat them, we'll overtake them. We can still make it. |
Maxymilliano:Wait I don't get it. Like he'll be paid $500 for the fight? That's about 750k. Even if he survived and sustained serious injuries, he'll exhaust that money treating himself. The money he was promised wasn't worth the risk at all. |

This is the real farmers league. They tried sha. 4 crates of eggs no be joke. |
Where are those Nairaland Hamas sympathizers, it's time to walk the talk. They should pick up arms and fight for their brothers in faith. |
APOPTOSIS:If it's not mandatory, it's shouldn't be included on the receipt. If you tip a bank staff, it's between you and her. The moment you start getting a receipt for your tips, then it has become official and they would always expect you to tip whenever you visit. That's what I think. |
Tip $75. What if I choose not to tip, so they won't attend to me? Why must a customer be forced to tip? |
pocohantas:Exactly. Imagine gifting a girl who earns 200k per month 20k, she'll appreciate it cos she understands the value of such amount of money. It can solve her feeding for at least 2weeks, it can also solve her pending bills and save her the stress of unnecessary spending. But if you give that same amount of money to a jobless girl, she'll sulk and tell you that it's a far cry from what she wants to use it for. Reason being that she doesn't understand the value of money cos she's never worked for it. pocohantas:Well here in Nigeria, so many men directly or indirectly encourage laziness in women. It's in Nigeria you'll see a struggling guy who earns 350k, sending 150k to his girlfriend every month for upkeep. If you try to advise him, he'll defend his actions and tell you she's his girl so he's got to take care of her. The problem here is that girls who fall into this category become entitled, they would feel it's the responsibility of the man to give them money. Most don't even bother to sharpen their skills so that they can start earning their own money, I mean why should they when they can comfortably date 3-4 guys simultaneously and earn close to a million (or more) every month without stress. |
pocohantas:He can always set her up business wise so that she can become financially independent. Cos I've noticed that women who heap financial burden their men the most are the ones who barely understands the daily struggle men go through to make money. The moment she understands how difficult it is to manage a business and maintain a certain profit margin, she'll do all she can to ease the burden on him. |
pocohantas:Sometimes I don't judge people who invest in love cos most times they do it from a pure heart. It's just that in most cases, the recepient makes them regret their actions. When he told me what he did, I just kept quiet cos after all it's his money not mine. If the girl can remain loyal to him, fine. If she chooses not to do so, it's her life. |
None of the teams that have qualified so far would make it to the quarter finals. It was easy for them cos they don't really have much competition in their continent. Nigeria is in a very tight spot tho. Only God can save us. |
fineboynl:I disagree with you. I seen guys who pay part or full payment of their girlfriend's place. Sometimes she might request for a loan from the guy to offset the rent and end up not paying him back. I even know someone personally who just paid this year's rent for his girlfriend. The house is inhabited by her mom and 3 siblings. Her dad is late. There's nothing married men do for girls that single guys don't do. |
