Not just the Southwest, but the entire Nigeria. Insecurity is at its peak. You can hardly travel these days any arrive your destination in one piece. Tinubu has failed Nigerians. |
akpunda86:Easy with your lies biko. Do you know what 2.8m is? No lending company would give you that kind of money without proper documentation. Meaning if your story is true, you knowingly applied for the loan. |
Clemss88:Water yam is basically for pounder yam (in my place) we don't eat it. We eat the normal yam and yellow yam (ogumodu) |
How many Nigerians can afford electric cars? A 20 year old corolla has become a luxury to so many, how much more an electric car. This charging station is for the rich and not the masses. |
YoungLionken:Nairaland only supports YouTube videos. And such videos can't make it to YouTube because of their policy. The video is on X you can search for it there. Those ones accept anything. However I sent you the pics.

I'm not taking the side of Akpabio, but you cannot just come out and claim someone is making sexual advances against you without any credible evidence. Most especially when you have a track record of falsely accusing people in the past of the same offence. Even if saner climes, Akpabio can sue her for defamation of character. And since she doesn't have any evidence of what she's accusing him of, she'll loose the case. You don't accuse people without proof. If she felt he was making sexual advances against her, all she needed to do was to record it. We're in the digital age where you can secretly record someone without their knowledge. A credible vido evidence would have gotten the whole world on her side. |
We've been hearing this since last year. Yet nothing. March is almost over I hope they know that. |
3 soldiers were murdered recently by jihadists, the video was recorded and posted for the whole world to see. 2 were murdered in Benue this week. Yet no reprisal from the military. But once they see an unarmed civilian, that's when they suddenly remember that they're in the military and start acting like street thugs. Bloody cowards. |
Bernadette9:Are you for real? Go and re-watch the officiating that took Korea to the semi finals in Korea-Japan 2002. Especially the officiating in their match against Italy. As for Africa, we have a very weak league that nobody outside Africa struggles to play in or watches. At least we've seen top European players go to Asia (China) to retire. How many come to Africa? We're not yet serious. |
dominique:Exactly. They don't have any serious competition in their continent. |
Fubara's error was rebelling against wike few months after his swearing in without any strategy on how to win the war he started. If he was wise, he should have used his first term to play along, whilst secretly building his own structure. Then come out and rebel 2 years into his second tenure. So at least by then, even if the battle doesn't go his way, he won't have anything to loose. |
Funny people. That account is managed by his SM aide, he won't see all these rants. If you want to get his attention, hit the streets. |
Most Nigerian girls work even harder than those Chinese girls he saw there. Their problem is just greed and lack of contentment. |
If it's for 2 it's OK. Unless you're trying to manage funds then you can consider it as wastage. |
Kobicove:Are you for real? 600k is a significant reduction regardless of whatever the current price was. |
erico2k2:There's no way I'll be able to know that cos you'd have to grant them permission to access your location during your application. So if your location doesn't fall in countries they feel have something to offer them in that field, they'll reject you. Sadly, a lot of foreign remote jobs are like this. It would take a miracle to get employed from Nigeria. Unless you want to go via Upwork and other job recruiting route. |
studyless123:Next time try to understand what someone is saying before rushing to hit reply. I'm not talking about scholarships, as there are countless Nigerians who are benefiaries of American scholarships daily. I'm talking about getting a foreign American job from Nigeria and being fully sponsored by the company to relocate to the US. Do you think it's easy? Before a company/firm would sponsor you from Nigeria to work for them, you'd have to be the best amongst the best. I uploaded a reply I got from a firm in my previous post. Our image isn't at its best currently. Thus making it extremely difficult for job applicants in Nigeria to be considered for remote jobs let alone being sponsored to come over there and work. It has nothing to do with with self defeating personality disorder. It's just the harsh reality whether you choose to believe it or not. |
zelnababa:He could have just called wike to order. Cos it seems like Tinubu has forgotten what it took Yaradua to beg those Niger Delta boys to put down their weapons. But it seems Tinubu prefers to oppress Fubara a sitting Governor rather than call Wike to order. |
Please I want to ask...can the president bypass the judiciary and suspend an elected governor? Is Tinubu's action part of our constitution? Why wasn't wike suspended as well since he's the originator of crisis in rivers state? Honestly we don't have a democracy in this country. What we have is civilian dictatorship. Most retired Niger Delta militants would use this as an opportunity to get back into the creeks. |
Can the president bypass the judiciary and suspend an elected governor? Is this action by Tinubu constitutional? |
MrMandilas:They can still arrest them if they want to even without them owning physical offices. It has happened several times. VDM has been arrested before. Gistlover operators have arrested before. TikToker Murja Kunya from kano has been arrested before. And a dozen of others. The reason why their pushing for them to own a physical office is just so that they can collect taxes from them and nothing more. |
tensazangetsu20:Lol. Did I say it wasn't or are you just trying so hard to sound intelligent. If the latter is the case, you're doing a very terrible job. I said the reason for my rejection was my LOCATION. And not whether or not it was a generic rejection. |
tensazangetsu20:This is just one of the dozens of feedbacks I've gotten from prospective employers. It's an IT firm based in California. The only reason they gave for not employing me was my location (Nigeria) and not because I'm not qualified for the role. And these are career jobs with good pay. This is what gives me confidence that if I should exit this country, I would definitely get a reasonable job cos location wouldn't be a hindrance to me anymore.

If you say exchange or anyone, they'll focus on it and ask you questions from there. You can go through the link above. As long as you have an above basic knowledge of MS365, you'll be fine. Cos everything you'll be asked in the interview would be something you know a little or much about. So you'll definitely have answers to their questions. Goodluck. |
Yea right so that they can tax them to their deaths. |
studyless123:Bro, Nigeria doesn't fall into countries the US considers as potential hubs for sourcing out professionals. However countries like China, India and most professionals in western Europe fall into this category. If you carry out a study you'd discover that less than 15% of Nigerians have actually benefitted from this scheme. Reason being that our education system isn't amongst the top rated worldwide. So telling a Nigerian living in Nigeria to keep applying that if he's good enough an American company would sponsor his trip over there to work is not a realistic objective. The best is to move over there, complete your Msc, and get a good job. |
If you go into ministry for the sole purpose of making money, you'll be disappointing regardless of whether God call you or not. This was the case of the man in question. |
dominique:I thought I was the only one who noticed this. It has literally become a norm in Hollywood. |
Goodvibes007:Does Lagos state government employ non yourbas? How many non yourbas do you know personally that is employed by the Lagos state government? And before you mention Joe Igbokwe. That one isn't an employee of the state. He's just a political jobber. If you must know, all states in Nigeria employ only their indigenes. It's only the federal government, private and cooperate firms that employ people regardless of where they're from not state government. |
tensazangetsu20:Like I said. My post isn't for countries like UK and Canada. I understand that those countries are seriously overcrowded. So getting good jobs there is going to be a herculean task. My post is for the US only. If you're highly qualified most especially in tech, you can comfortably run 2 (or more) jobs concurrently. It's all about your niche and your skill. |
tensazangetsu20:That's because she travelled to the US without any degree or skill. I have a cousin in the US who sends me links of jobs in America. Do you know that out of every 5 jobs I apply to 4 would reach out to me telling me that they can't hire me because of my location. So if I happen to be there, I should be able to get at least 2 jobs to begin with. This is possible because I have a very rich CV. So once any prospective recruiter looks at it, he'll definitely want to reach out. A lot of Nigerians travel out with incomplete papers, zero or poor academic records and no skill at all. So they usually find it very difficult in getting a job. Cos no cooperate firm in the US would hire you if you lack the skill and qualifications they need. |
