Hello guys, I don't know if someone has been in this situation before. I'll be brief with the story.
There's this relative of mine that told me about a job, he called it a Federal govt job. He said it's a slot and for me to claim it I'll pay 120k and 18k for accomodation and will travel to Abuja for interview. Who has been in this situation please advise, is this credible or I should just dismiss it.
You'd have to be extremely naiev to fall for this cheap scam.

Just tell him that you're not interested.

If not for the kind of corrupt leaders we have and the masses who keep making poor choices by continually electing them, Nigeria should have become a global super power by now.

Tallesty1:
Some of the mad people were killed, probably by ritualists.

I know of one whose corpse was found with his organs missing.

One popular mad person disappeared after a governorship campaign in this area. Some people saw those that took him.

As for beggars, I think their numbers have increased by 200-500%.
I don't think ritualist use mad people. I doubt if whatever oracle he's taken to would accept him. Most of them are killed by organ harvesters to harvest their organs and sell them.

As for beggars, I barely see them these days on the roads. Although most people have become beggars (no thanks to Tinubu's administration), but they no longer say on the roads. Most prefer to beg from families, churches... Etc

You people keep mentioning Fella as musician, I'm yet to hear any of his song, he didn't even have popular songs or hit.

I know many of Celine Dion's songs,
Tupac made snoop popular because of his look, I don't know any of his song.
You might not know him cos he died in 1997. (27yeaes ago) and even in his death, his songs still point out the realities of the Nigerian government.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to a number of beggars on the Street now that economy don hit everybody.

I noticed that they have reduced drastically in number. I hardly see them again.

Does it mean, that they have all died from hunger?
Maybe they've ventured into another business since it has become obvious to them that begging no longer pays cos everyone is literally struggling to survive.

And just like ritual, it doesn't last.

I remember the days of Dbanj, wandy Cole, 9ice, Tony tetula, Azadus, Tuface, Plantation boys, Konga, Olu maintain... Etc. Where are they today, most have moved on from music to other endavours. Some left the country, some became broke, some died.

It's easy to get a hit track, but it's not easy to maintain your popularity for long cos with time, you'll eventually fade away. That's why if you can survive up to 2 decades as a musician with back to back hits, the world would respect you.

Little wonder why people like Fela, Celine Dion, Snoop... Etc are know all around the world.

Story story. The only thing opposition got against Asiwaju is propaganda.

See how you’re analyzing thing like you are his daughter with his medical record.

Asiwaju is the only candidate that campaigned rigorously during the primaries and even after winning the ticket, he went round the country on a thank you visit. Someone that’s sick won’t be able to do that except if sick means something in your dictionary.

Atiku the shoemaker at one point languished in Dubai while Obi Pandora is missing in action.

Beside propaganda, what else do you got against Tinubu?
You made this statement in 2022. With the way Nigeria currently is, do you still believe that the opposition are spreading propaganda against Tinubu?

It's terrible out there.

Remote job is the way now. But it is looking hard to get especially for the non-tech roles.
Then you learn tech so that you can position yourself accurately in the job maket.

That's exactly what I did and got mine. I paid to learn, and used the knowledge I got to land a job.

folake4u:
Lol, it is indeed crazy.

I was gisting with my friend this morning and he was saying there wasn't much traffic today because there wasn't even much buses on the road. In this Lagos oh. Monday morning.

Running a business in Nigeria currently is not for the faint hearted. Only the strongest can survive.

Lol even multinational companies are folding up or leaving the country. Many companies are downsizing too for cheap labour. The naira devalues daily....
I have a friend who's office rented an office space at Ikeja around airport road. He told me that only them and 2 other cooperate firms remain there. The rest have all folded up cos their rent was increased by about 70% so most couldn't cope. Coupled with the fact that the purchasing power of the people has greatly reduced. So there are hardly any customers out there.

He even told me that they literally struggled to pay their rent this year and with the way things are, he's doubting if the company would remain afloat by this time next year.

I advised him to get a remote job.
FamilyRe: Should A Man Love His Wife More Than His Mom? by Nazgul:
mmadu4:
So guys i often wonder is it OK to love wifey more than our mom. like can a man put his wife first before his mom?

a neighbor of mine sent his mom away all because she had altercation with the wife and told the wife to leave her son and set him free from her juju ,

i wanted to put mouth but don't want to insert my self in family matter . nothing will make me send my mom away like that though .

so guys would you do it?
The love you have for your mom is totally different from the kind you have for your wife.

Your wife is more of a sexual love. You want to touch her, hug her, kiss her, gist, go out... Etc.

While that of your mom is more like a parent-child kind of love. You chech up on her, ask after her health, hear her gists from the latest happenings in the family and the village... Etc.

They're not the same and therfore should not be compared. Comparing them is like comparing a striker and a defender. But don't play the same wing so it's pointless.

Even when there was subsidy, fuel has always been high in the East. I saw the new NNPC list and fuel was higher in Port-Harcourt than in Ogun. Yet Rivers is an oil-producing state.
Fuel difference in the east during Buhari's administration to that of Lagos wasn't up to N10 difference.

I never bought fuel up to N200 from a regular fueling station in the east during Buhari's administration.

If Lagos are selling 165, the east would be selling 170 or 173. That was how the price difference was.

It's during this Tinubu's administration that you'll see NNPC in Lagos selling 568 and NNPC in Enugu selling 720.

It wasn't always Iike that.

1,500 is really high oh. Omoooo crazyyyyyy!

Toh. Small scale, large scale oh, everyone's suffering the bad economy.

Didn't you see Dangote carry microphone dey do media rounds? Lol e touch everybody.
It's really bad out there. Imagine you're running a business center and have to cope with buying fuel at N1,500 per liter. How much can you make at the end of the month, cos you still have electricity bills and other items like paper and ink you'll need to keep your business running.

These days, start up small scale businesses can't survive. Most go out of business without even realizing their capital.

Those who already have jobs are watching their salaries become worthless cos of the way the naira keeps depreciating each day.

It's well o.

Yeah me too. They're really going through a lot this hard time.

Bills choke for both married and unmarried, Naz. 😂🥲

I called my Pops yesterday and he was saying at their side, some filling stations are selling for N1,100-1,400. Never seen my old man complain so bitterly.
My aunt called me today to complain that fuel is between 1,400-1,500 in the east.

And I was like how would small scale business owners survive?

Even top MDs and CEOs are complaining...na wa o.

Is it really that bad in Nigeria? shocked No vex, but I don't know why a part of me is yet to believe that things are actually tough for Nigerians. I find it hard to believe.
Take a 6weeks vacation to Nigeria and you'll understand first hand what people are going through.

Oh of course, people would still defend his actions. Na all of us go suffer am las las. Loool.

Only this year, fuel price has increased like three times. Schools are resuming tomorrow and children must eat oh. They don't care how you get the money but they have to be fed.

I pray I'm not in this country before 2026. From my mouth to God's ears. Because the country doesn't have prospects of getting better in the nearest future. Oh well, maybe it's because I'm a realist.

By God's grace, your japa plans will succeed. Insha Allah.
I'm really pitying people with large families this period cos I know that they won't be finding it funny.

Me that's not even Married, I'm complaining about bills, how much more those with like 4 kids?

Honestly my prayer would be to exit this failed country. Nigeria is gone.
FamilyRe: A Kilo Of Meat Is Now #7,500 In Abuja. by Nazgul: 8:17pm On Sep 08, 2024
folake4u:
Actually!!!

And we both know that once price goes up in Nigeria, it can never go down.

A 5 mins walking distance to my house with keke was 100naira before, this past week it's now N200.
What still baffles me is that despite the nation wide suffering, people are still defending this man. Go to Twitter (X) and see how they fanatically defend his absurd policies.

Buhari we were calling clueless ruled for 8 years and fuel increased from N97 to N179 per liter.

Tinubu came on board and within one year, fuel has increased with over 1k difference.

I'm just trying to imagine how Nigeria would be by 2027. Maybe fuel would reach 5k per liter.

My prayer now is for God to make my Japa plans work. Even if na to engage in dry fast I won't mind. Cos with the pace Tinubu is ruining this country, it's only a matter of time before looking good can become dangerous cos you would easily be robbed just for dressing good.

I don't know why people buy chicken in kilos. Here, 7k can get you a jumbo-sized chicken andnthat includes half kilo of laps (2 pieces) and other parts.
7k cannot get you a jumbo sized frozen chicken here in Lagos. Although if you add like 1k to it, it can get you live old layer, but not jumbo size.
