Carcholce:Most men? How did you arrive at this assumption that most men don't dream. Did you carry out a study where you interviewed up to 10,000 men in your community to find out whether they dream or not? If no, your assumption is totally wrong and therefore should not be used as a base of your argument. Carcholce:The English definition of a succubus is a female demon who comes to seduce and sleep with a man spiritually. Any other definition outside this is not a succubus. Could be a prostitute or a hookup girl or nymphomaniac. But certainly not a succubus because succubus are demonic beings. If you're told to define a tailor and you say a tailor is someone who sells clothes and begin to argue that all clothe dealers are tailors, you would be absolutely wrong because not all tailors are dealers as most sew on demand. While clothes dealers buy and sell they don't sew. Although they look similar, they have different meanings and roles. I heard about incubus and succubus for the first time in MFM when I went there for deliverance. And out of curiosity, I checked it up online and even watched various YouTube videos on their mode of operations. So trying to tell me that the dream part is where my understanding ends shows you have a very shallow knowledge of what you're arguing about. |
Carcholce:@bolded. That's not the meaning of a succubus. A succubus is a female demon that seduces men and have sex with them in their sleep. A man who frequently has sex in the dream is under the grip of a succubus. The result of such act isn't what you explained. It has a more spiritual effect on the man. He can loose contracts worth millions after having such dreams, he can be sacked from his place of work, he can become so sexually perverted that it can lead him to public disgrace and jail cos he might end up forcing himself on a minor...etc. |
Some of these unnecessary age long African traditions needs to be abolished. Cos I don't see how productive peeling their lips is to themselves and their community. |
helinues:How many Nigerians use chrome these days where they can see the ads? I myself use Microsoft Edge whose search engine is co-pilot. So if you're making use of Google ads, there's a 100% possibility that I won't see it. And if you want to point out Google play store, what's the percentage of people that go there on a daily basis. Most people open the Google play store only when they want to download an app. So if they have no reason to download any app for a whole month, it means that they won't see your ad. That's why it's cheap. Facebook on the other hand reaches people much faster cos most young people spend almost their whole day there. That's why it's more expensive and more productive. |
To be honest I really feel for you cos most of Tinubu's supporters who still live with their parents have no idea of what he's doing to the economy and how he's killing the efforts of genuine young husslers. The reality here is that the economy is bad, and the purchasing power of the masses keeps going downward on a daily basis. So whatever kind of business you go into would definitely experience serious challenges. Because Tinubu's ultimate goal is to plunge the entire population into poverty so that they'll be at his mercy. That's why no matter how hard you try to hussle, you'd discover that you just cannot see the money, cos inflation and the constant collapse of the naira against the dollar would keep frustrating your efforts. You made mention of digital marketing, it's a good path, you can even get foreign remote jobs in that field, that way you won't have to struggle with HBP whenever you experience poor sales on stocked goods |
pocohantas:They turn it off because they're trying to manage fuel. Yet they still expect you to pay for it knowing fully well that they have no plans of turning it on. Whenever you book a ride next time, once you get in, before the driver starts the trip ask him if his AC is working. If it is let him put it on before starting the trip. If he wants to argue just open the door, come down and cancel the ride. That's how I do, you can't expect me to pay for a fully air-conditioned ride and end up sweating like a bricklayer. Even during my schooling days, whenever I'm traveling from Lagos to the East, the transport company has different prices for AC bus and normal bus. Once you pay for their AC bus, the drive would put on the AC from Lagos to your destination because you paid for it. |
OK I've been able to successfully upload the picture. Can you see the current price. It's above 15k. From. Gbagada to Abijoh. OlujobaSamuel:Very true. One has to put other factors into consideration before giving out a price to customers so that if anything happens to the vehicle whatever he makes can be able to sort it out. The last time I bought engine oil (mobile 1 synthetic) was some months back and it was about 80k. The funny thing is that it used to be around 30k in 2022. So imagine charging a customer 50k for the trip and after coming back to Lagos, you discover that you'd need to change oil. What then. You did the right thing by turning down the offer. OlujobaSamuel:About AC, if I'm driving in the morning like to church I do put it off cos mornings are usually very cold and there's AC in the church. But anything from afternoon during the scorching sun, my AC must be turned on. And if by any means I'm in an Uber, he's AC must he turned on as well.
|
OlujobaSamuel:Bro it's not a steal. I booked that journey last month before this current increment of fuel to over 1k per liter. And it was about N10,800. I uploaded the current price from my place to abijo lekki 2, it's over 15k. That's why we were mad when he told us that he's AC wasn't functioning. OlujobaSamuel:To be honest, I do pity Uber drivers these days, cos they barely make anything reasonable. During buhari's era, when fuel was still less than N200, I'll load my tank with 2k and it would take me from Abakaliki to Enugu to and fro. Today, that same amount isn't up to 2 liters. The person who was pricing you 30k to Ibadan wanted to plunge you into debt. With the current price of fuel, if you had accepted that deal you would have discovered that you wouldn't have made a dime from it. Edit: I finding it extremely difficult to upload the screenshot of the price I posted. It very disappointing that a website as big as Nairaland doesn't have an IT support system where issues like this can be handled. |
Imagine that sleek ride taking you to and fro on a 24 hour safari journey... It's definitely going to be an experience. Most Uber and Bolt cars on Lagos roads are just scrap. Majority of them use car models of 20 years old and above. I remember entering one Uber ride last month with a friend. The driver was using a 2003 camry big daddy. As we entered he told us not to be offended that his AC isn't working. We just jejely came down from the car, canceled the ride and proceeded to book another ride. Imagine entering an Uber from Gbagada to Lekki2 on a hot Sunday afternoon and you want us to pay you almost 10k for a car without AC, isn't that robbery? We need to learn how to do business in this country. Most business owners are just interested in making money with zero regard about the comfort of their customers. Forgetting that customers would pay more once their comfort is guaranteed. |
Koppaguard:My response would be determined by who asked my the question. If it's someone I'm looking up to, like a superior, spiritual leader, a mentor...etc, I'll try to find out why he/she made such a remark about me. If it's just a regular girl I'm trying to woo, I'll tell her same here and walk away. |
If Fubura really wants to return to power, he should use his influence as a sitting governor to win all wike's loyalists over to his side. |
It's really bad out there. A friend was lamenting to me on how he spends about 85k monthly on just transportation. And his monthly pay is 150k. How is he suppose to save money? Most people would rather prefer to suffer in silence than to voice out because their tribesmen are in power. E go better. |
To be honest with you, that money is gone. In more developed countries, they would review the ATM's cctv footage and match the man's face in their database, once they get a match, they'll track him down and have him arrested. In Nigeria here, even if the cctv footage reveals everything you need to nail the person, our police force lacks the technology and an efficient database to track the thief. Tell your dad's friend to be more careful next time. |
Come back after 6 months and those vehicles would become scrap. Nigerian police are terrible at managing their own vehicles. |
Judolisco:Are you telling me that Manutd hasn't won the UCL before? Cos I don't understand this your argument. |
folake4u:I still don't understood you o. Last 2 seasons we won the carling cup. Last season we won the FA cup. Yet na you de make mouth. When last did Chelsea win a trophy? Probably when I was still writing WAEC. 🤣 |
You sound like an emotional person. I still don't get how a statement from someone whom you don't know and who doesn't mean anything to you can hurt you. If I tell you how many times Lagos conductors have provoked me eh. For me, as long as you don't mean anything to me, your words wouldn't hurt me one bit. |
folake4u:I'd rather supper Enugu Rangers than join Chelsea. ![]() |
Preciousgirl:Are you talking about the people who told your husband that the lady in question is a witch? This is africa where everyone is fighting for relevance. And the only way to become relevant in a very religious continent like Africa is through prophecies. The trick is to keep talking until you hit something similar to what the person is currently going through, and boom, you don hammer. If I tell you how many times people (both the ones I know and the ones I don't) have approached me with one prophecy or the other, I just ignore them and move on. If you husband cannot get the management to terminate her appointment, it means there's something going on between them. That's the fact. |
folake4u:I don comot my mind from Manutd. I thought they were going to sack ETH. Cos the team has crumbled under him. For the fact that they left him this season means that the management isn't ready for any serious changes. |
Preciousgirl:So you're telling me that the company's management would prefer to remain mute and take no action despite the incessant reports against an unproductive staff who's attitude can put them out of business? It either you're making this up or you don't have the full details of what is going on. |
Preciousgirl:I thought you said he's her boss. If he's her superior, he can give her a query. And if she continues with her nonchalant attitude, he can report her to the management that she's unproductive and keeping her with them would be a deficit to the company. It's so easy. If I'm your superior in any office and you're nonchalant towards the job, it would take me less than 5 minutes to deal with your attitude. There's something he's not telling you. |
folake4u:Enemy of progress. I'm a chosen your abrasive nature has no effect on me. |
Preciousgirl:Why can't he just fire her. I mean with all the things you said about her, he'll have more than a thousand reasons to do so. For him to still keep her despite her nonchalant attitude towards the job which she's being paid to do shows that even though he might not admit it, he's clearly into her. That's definitely something going on between them that you're not yet aware of. I'm sure if it was a male employee who was guilty of all these, be would have been laid off a long time ago. |
folake4u:Abeg make I hear word jare. ![]() |
osazsky:That's why I said EPL referees are fantastically useless. |
arantess:There was minimal contact the commentator said so. If it was a Mancity player that did this would the refree have given him a direct red card? |
GEJDHERO:Stop being biased. I'm watching the game. There was minimal contact. His boot didn't touch the guy it was more like a leg to leg brushing. The commentator and even the half time analysts pointed it out. If at all the refree wanted to penalize him, he should have given him a yellow card and not a direct red card. |
Next time he asks you for money, if it's not for something reasonable like a medical check up or an emergency, just tell him you don't have. By the time you turn down his request up to 3 times, he'll stop bothering you. If you keep giving him, he'll keep asking. But once he knows that calling you is a waste of time cos he won't get anything, he'll stop and shift his focus to your brothers. |
omooba969:ETH was supposed to be relieved off his duty after our FA cup match with Mancity. But somehow the club kept him even when it was clear that he had no vision for the team. As long as he remains the coach, Manutd would keep struggling to win matches. That's the fact. |
omooba969:EPL referees are just rubbish. That red card he gave Bruno didn't deserve a red card. Bruno barely touched the guy. Honestly EPL is becoming useless because of bad officiating. |
Seun is here asking if Nairalanders are experiencing any problem. Aside one post, the rest are just irrelevant. Imagine being a support engineer and 98 out of the 100 complains you get every day are just people trolling each other. Believe me, you'll stop paying attention to your emails. Tomorrow you'll say seun doesn't pay attention to your complaints. How would he when you can't even compose an official complaint stating your issues for them to be addressed and possibly resolved. |
