ALSO THE PRINCIPAL OFFICERS OF THE SCHOOL ARE ALL MUSLIMS DESPITE BEEN A SECULAR SCHOOL AS CLAIMED IN UR WRITE UP. THAT PROFS AND DRS EVEN OTHER RANKING LECTURES DO SAY PRAYERS IN ARABIC BEFORE THEY COMMENCE LECTURE. NAIRALANDERS DON'TD MIND THE WRITE UP OOO. ABU IS A GLORIFIED ISLAMIC SCHOOL FROM THE SIGN POST TO TEACHING AND NON TEACHING STAF F. PLS IF U ARE IN DOUBT JUST CALL ANYONE IN ZARIA OR KD TO FIND OUT

U have forgotten to let us know that from Queen Amina ie opp basketball court to faculty of pharmaceutical sci round about use to be lock down every Sunday for Christians security. On the issue of mosque in every Dept even though not true of so many depts is done for conveniences or did u expect all the Muslim students and lecturers to assemble at Central mosque close to main gate for their five daily prayers. On the issue of Muslims start lectures it isn't entirely true in fact in some Dept u have more Christian prof than Muslims. on issues of leadership Christian profs aren't barred from ABU leadership we have prof ezral DVC and former chief librarian and other Dean's and HODs who are Christians. thanks

we need more psychiatrist to curb all these mental problems induced utterances...

Strict laws on the culprits to deter others, if u are caught in that act of insurgency u get killed...
it shouldn't be ceremonial like what we have today, u start an insurgency group, the next thing is to go into negotiation and get settled by government definitely others will spring up. Recruit more soldiers to deal ruthlessly with any one found involving in insurgency...

my candid advise for you, is to do your best to those children since u are already into the whole thing. you have no idea what God have in stock for you. they may be God-sent to you to change your stories for good tomorrow. I repeat do your best till that time that, u either get married, find a job or relocate.

It's not normal feeling bored of reading during exams. It's a disaster�

If it happens, then u need to reevaluate yourself. If you are the type that reading long hours gets you bored, then u need take some breaks in between.
Secondly, if u have a specific target to achieve, always picture yourself attaining that target and u will easily get motivated.
Lastly, don't starve yourself that may contribute to you feeling bored. There's serious interconnections between healthy diet and brain capacity...

For observations and insights on:

*Enough of community health stunted training; a call for review.*

I came to an undisputable conclusion that the cause of failure on the versatility of community health as a profession, can be trace to the pattern, trait and of course levels of training. No doubt present pattern of training community health practitioners need an urgent review to be at par with other health professions. We certainly understand our limitations, perhaps settings goals and objectives of each level of training warrants the present Pattern of jchew 2years, Chew 3years, CHO 2 years all equal to 7 years for a Diploma qualification. Then the journey continues with Bsc community health 3years and 4years for CHOs and CHEWs respectively. Furthermore, another 2-3years spend on Master(MSc) and subsequently 3-4years spend on Doctorate(PhD).

When 7 solid economic years spent on Diploma programme, ladies and gentlemen, what time did you have to spend on getting Degree, masters and doctorate, hence the stunted progression in the field. At this point, it is pertinent to conclude that failure to have enough Prof, PhD holders, renown scholars and academicians in this field. It's further the reason for failure to have this community health departments in our conventional university for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Some of our professional colleagues in the field aren't helping matters not only the issues of poor professionalism but not research oriented, not safe guiding the image of the profession, stagnant and lack professional prospect, un informed about the profession to mention but a few.

My recommendations

Our Board,the federal ministry of health,federal ministry of education in collaboration with National University Commission(NUC), should design the training pattern in such way that, once you graduate from secondary school you either go straight to the university and study Bsc community health or have 3years training as CHEW before proceeding through D.E into the university.

Professional examination be conducted at each stage of the training.

proceed for MSc and PhD degrees subsequently.

CHEW, Bsc, MSc and PhD be recognized by the board and nothing more.

All community health departments in government and private Parastatals be manned by the community health workers.

There should be special recognition accorded members of this profession.
