Hello house, for reasons beyond my control I've been offline today and only just saw a message sent this afternoon for an interview with IHS tomorrow. I've got 2 questions pls: 1) My interview location is Alfred Rewane, Ikoyi, Lagos. Pls is anyone aware of this address as one of theirs? 2)I applied for HSE but was emailed an invite for RMS project coordinator, hopefully this is an oversight on their part and I can let them know tomorrow?
Pls I'd really appreciate responses, especially for my first question. Thank you |

Na wa. I'll do just that, thank you. Because it's actually a bit strange to have the same adverts less than a month after the first exercise. wroskian: Wow!!! I called the company now and the person I spoke to said the vacancy for Executive Trainees is a SCAM and that they are not recruiting at the moment. I'll advise you call to find out about the position you applied for. Contact details here: www.bannerenergy.net/contact/ |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Banner Energy Ltd by Ndawe(op): 1:02pm On Aug 18, 2016 |
You're welcome. I am not sure of "Barner Energy", the one I'm certain of is "Banner Energy". I emailed both anyways, just to be on the safe side. Thank you very much and all the best. Cheers. wroskian: Thanks for the information. The email address I applied through was info@[b]barnerenergy.com, I guess that's a typo up there or do you think they belong to the same organization? I confirmed the existence of the "...barnerenergy" address before sending my application though.
For the re-advertisement of the vacancies, I hope some people somewhere are not re-posting it on their blogs to drive traffic. I'm sure you have moved on after they failed to "get back" as promised. I wish you all the best. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Banner Energy Ltd by Ndawe(op): 8:56am On Aug 18, 2016 |
Quite serious. I applied for HSE personnel and it was via the same info@bannerenergy.com I guess the info email serves multiple purposes. Most of the vacancies posted now were also advertised previously. Probably they didn't get what they were looking for, I wouldn't know. They were very vague with details, just a "We'll get back to you" kind of thing. wroskian: That is serious. What position did you apply for? I applied for an Executive Trainee position which was posted on this forum days ago. Did you apply through info@barnerenergy.com? That email address looks more like an enquiry address to me. |

"Grow the Naira they said", but no. We have more than capable Nigerians who are more than able to coach the National Team (who will be cheaper, encourage local content empowerment etc) but our "all knowing" government wants for foreign made. Now, he has brought his fellow foreigners and at what cost to who? Meaning that he may not even have plans to have a Nigerian Assistant. With that said, it also means that there's no succession plan in view because if and when he goes, we start running around again, looking for replacement. Na wa for wa |

Yes, we all wrote the same test irrespective of the position applied for and I'm not from an engineering background. We waited nearly an hour I think, before starting. Roughly an hour, maths and English. ScofieldBello: Is your background engineering? Did everyone, irrespective of position applied for, write same test? How long were you kept waiting before the commencement of the test? What's the approximate time allotted for the test?
Thank you once again. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Banner Energy Ltd by Ndawe(op): 1:14pm On Aug 04, 2016 |
Oh okay, it was an aptitude test basically. They said they'll contact successful candidates for interview. We were about 15 or so. ScofieldBello: Nope. A brother was invited for same purpose but had a presentation to deliver same day at the office. He wrote a mail requesting to be rescheduled for later day/date. He is yet to hear from them since then. How did it go? Were there lots of applicants and was everyone interviewed?
Thank you. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Contacted For Job Interview. by Ndawe(f): 8:26am On Jul 26, 2016 |
Though I'm in Lagos but there are a few pointers to look out for, when you receive SMS for "interviews" 1) The text is so poorly constructed (a couple of grammatical and punctuation errors that ordinarily shouldn't be made) 2) The SMS has some abbreviations(which aren't professional) 3) Most of these GNLD invites USUALLY have those so-called REF numbers 4) The message is TOO VAGUE. Find out if the person that sent the email is recruiting on their behalf. Sunfit is a genuine recreational outfit (gym, banquet halls and accommodatiion). I use their gym. So make proper enquiries, as to whether the sender is genuine because Sunfit is 100% genuine and that's their address in Amuwo Odofin. Phoenix11: I saw a post on nairaland by a moniker called label green and i applied nonchalantly since i dnt yet have a job. Then they immediately acknowledged my application. Then they sent me a question to answer via mail which i hurriedly answered nt expecting to be called...only for me to get the mail below today
Good Morning,
You are invited for Interview for the above position-
Venue: Sunfit Recreation Centre,
327/329, Rafiu Babatunde Tinubu Road, (by Apple Junction)

Date: Saturday, 24th July 2016
Time: 9 am
P.S. You are required to come with 2 (two) copies of your Curriculum Vitae/Resume, passport photographs and writing materials.
Regards,
Human Resources LabelGreen
so i did some digging also due to the fact that i grew up in festac nd knw lil about the venue as nt being an interview venue...after further digging i found out that label green doesnt exisf exceot uts not a registered company. SO I AM FORCED TO BELIEVE THEY ARE AMONG THE PEOPLE KIDNAPPING GRADUATES |
