You don't have to leave your house, to apply for a UK passport......

It takes less than 6 minutes + access to the internet.......

Quite sad....

I just have to come to this conclusion. I have never suffered to get something like this before. To renew my international passport and also get one for my 5 year old girl has brought so much pain in the past 3 months.

First, they said I must get NIN to renew my passport and that of my daughter. We suffered a lot at the NIMC office at Alausa before we could be registered. Thereafter I had to wait for several days to get the NIN.

Next, they said my NIN has not "dropped" meaning they can't find it in the NIMC database at the Immigration office. I did "everything" to make it "drop". After several weeks, it dropped and I was able to submit my application for the passport.

I had to wait again for close to two weeks before I was called to come for capturing. Two months after I captured, they haven't produced my passport!!

Why will it take 3 months to process a passport? Just a passport!!!!!!!

I am expected to start a research degree in UK and almost missing some of the registration deadlines because of my inability to produce a passport.

What manner of country is this?

32 pages never ready for over 2 months now. This is so bad. Collection date was supposed to be 07/09/2021 but here we are, still waiting

It's so sad honestly. If I had known, I would have done 64 pages 10 years..

Pls I want to confirm, can my husband and kids still apply for a dependant visa by Nov 2022 (9 months after I have left)? Will they still pay for 2 years IHS considering that my course is for 2 years but they didn't join me at the beginning of my course?

This isn't a matter of I believe or not. I was there this morning to make moves on how to change from 32 to 64 pages for my kids. My contact still emphasized that 32 pages will only be available from Jan.

You are just lashing out because you got called out for making a mistake.

Why do you move abroad with larger family if you have no accommodation waiting or made an arrangement for one?

When you failed to plan then you planned to fail, you have two options when moving abroad with family of 1,2 or more.

1. Main applicant moved first, stay in a hotel, BnB, AirBnB to settle, get accommodation before moving the rest of the family.

2. Pay for student accommodation for one semester, use that opportunity to get something cheaper and suitable for family.

Its not rock scientist that if you moved with larger family it will cost you a lot to stay in a hotel or AirBnB.

The reason you gave for the lack of accommodation is not true because:

1. We have had PSW before for many years and there was no accommodation crisis then.

2. The UK was still a member of EU then hence many EU students and other EU members can easily troop into the UK as they wish but still many foreign students still get accommodation.

Years ago when i moved from Bradford to Portsmouth, i travelled to Portsmouth first(this is about 6hrs journey) stayed in a hotel for just a day, got list of private landlords from the university and the next day i viewed 3 properties and was able to get one. I moved back to Bradford to pack my stuff.

Yes you were desperate for a place and that was why you offered to pay more than the asking price.

How was life in Portsmouth?
