Also, I understand what GEJ meant when he said 'stealing is not corruption' (I went to school) let me explain...people that steal are corrupt but not everyone that is corrupt steals. e.g. The LASTMA official that collects a bribe did not steal but he is corrupt. Stealing is an aspect of corruption but stealing is not corruption.

If it was Obama that said 'stealing is not corruption', no one would have had a problem with it. but when it's your own president you loose your sense of context.

NO SIR! I disagree with you on that one!! It is a collective action by everyone to uphold the dignity and good name of this country. I live and work overseas and while I was in school, I always made sure I was top of the class so as to show that Nigerians aren't just a bunch or lazy corrupt visa seeking people.
Where I work, I make sure I work hard and honestly, I pay taxes and stay away from anything that would give this nation a bad name! why? because I always remeber the words of out national pledge that says:

- CNN should let the world know In 2007 Maternal Mortality Rate Was 750 per 100,000 Births in Nigeria. Today It Is 580
- I want them to say how On the 24th of August 2013, The First International Flight Operated by Ethiopian Airlines Landed at the New Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu.
- they should report that In 2013 Rail lines Were Revived From Lagos Port Direct to Kaduna.
- let them say how within the past 4 years, 3389 Heath Centers have been built Nationwide and also Built National Cancer Screening Centers nationwide, including at the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau in Zamfara, The University of Port-Harcourt Teaching Hospital and the National Obstetric Fistula Centre in Abakaliki.

I recall a program that showed Americans pictures of Detroit, some American argued it was Lebanon or Sarajevo or some war inflicted capital not some city in the US, but some parts of Detriot look like Lebanon after the civil war, we don’t know because it’s not reported by the news.

There are more Kidnapping in Arizona than the Niger Delta, more deaths by handguns from gang warfare in Chicago than Borno. IF YOU ASK ME, I THINK THIS WAS A SUCCESS, this is the first time eva in the history of Lagos (or Nigeria , i think) that a Govenor will take questions from an online chat , I wacthed the whole show, and ofcourse since its the first time, there are bound to be mistakes, the Gov responded to 3 comments from the chatroom (2 questions and 1 gratitude message) that in my honest opinion needs to be commended. its a new idea in Nigeria and am sure wen the gov marks his 700 days in office, the online chat will be more organised.

but you guys c'mon, he was taking questions from the panel, audience, moderator, phone as well and he had to do this in an hour and a half, there was no way he coulld have answered every question, i guess the moderator passed the 2 "hottest" questions to him and he answered, yu guys shud at least show regard to enownow.com for organising somthin like this, in the democratic debate in the US, they took a couple of questions from YouTube.com, i am almost certain that millions of people posted questions on youtube, but the moderators of the debate sieved out the best and posted live.

well, yes, u can store one million photos in the same folder, and retrieve them uniquly by querying the database. if yu want to have more than one photo per user(like what you have in a social network), u then create a table that stores the users unique id number and the filepath of the various photos. when yu want to dispaly his bio data and pictures at the same time, u can use the SQL LEFT JOIN function.

this will work vey well. am definately not saying you are wrong , this has worked for me so far.

am so sori i was late in replyin but now dat mi here.lemme suggest the way 4ward.

What you need to do is, create a folder in your sever for your pictures, then in addition to the fields for each record that goes into the database, add a field called 'imagepath'. this field will store the path to the picture in the folder you created.

So in the code where yu wanna display the image, instead of having <img=pictures/mypic.jpeg> you can have <img=<? echo $row['imagepath']; ?> >

dis way, it will display the image that was stored for that record.

It really an easy algorithm, i hope i didnt confuse anyone with it. thanks
