awulio:Nowhere in the article did it state US treasury say the will pay the funds. |
Greyworld:The naira was higher than the dollar at a time because the naira was formerly pegged at the price of 1 British pound. After the naira was unplugged from the British pound by us having our own sovereignty and pushing our own economic policies which failed it fell badly. Africa or Asians are not adopting Yuan in replacement of dollars, neither is China. The reason is that China is the country with the most US dollars after America. Those trillions of dollars China has from the west (America especially), it uses it to trade with other countries - Africa inclusive as its foreign reserve. China is also not loved in the Indo-Pacific region by other Asian countries. They view them as a threat to their sovereignty and would never align with them unlike the west. |
tegrianonigltd:Japan was the first to attack the US in pearl harbour. US only returned the favour. |
Kingpin1000:Jesus, you typed this? Guy that's not how inflation works bro. African countries changing their reserve currency from dollars to Yuan will not stop inflation. So what can stop inflation? What can stop it is how much goods your country can export. The more the export the more foreign revenue they have and can save in their foreign reserve bank accounts. The more foreign reserve they have in their bank accounts the Central banks of those African countries can them peg it to their local currency, giving them monetary value. If they earn less foreign revenue through export, the value of their local currencies will depreciate (devalue) because it is peg to their foreign reserve earnings. When this happens inflation will follow in that country. |
DerrickzB:I wish nairaland has voice note, I'll break it down easily. |
MangekyoAlt:Majorly internal debt not external debt. The difference is very important in the stability of the dollar, if not the dollar will have to be devalued drastically. |
A good piece but it failed to outline why the former Soviet states are romancing NATO and joining them. They aren't be forced to join NATO but they are surely been offered great financial and security incentives to join NATO, one which Russia can't afford to give them because of her dwindling economy since the 1990's. |
Errr:Please just stay away from all inland waters, including streams, lakes and pool. Avoid bushes too. They have lots of alligators and pythons there, that's the reason. But the beaches are safe. |
Clearly there is a big divide on this issue. Many believe there is no problem with Covid19 and the vaccine while many believe there is. So for those who don't believe they fall under a great spectrum. Which includes: 1. Anti vaccines advocates. To be clear this set of people are against all vaccines and have been in existence since the early 2000s. 2. Those who believe covid19 doesn't exist and isn't even a real disease. 3. Those who believe covid19 is a real disease but not so severe like other diseases. 4. Those who believe covid19 disease was engineered for the NWO to control all humans through fear and the vaccine. 5. Those who believe covid19 or the vaccine is lead to the 666. 6. Those who believe the vaccine is a micro chip that alters your DNA and you can be controlled by 5G 7. Those who believe the vaccine are not safe and do more harm than good. 8. Those that believe the vaccines are useless and rely only on their natural immunity. 9. Those who are simply scared because of all the report they have been hearing on this issue. Etc. All these categories of people fall under those sceptical about the covid19 and the vaccine, and I know of many in real life. The real troubling question is this, IF covid19 is real other than the vaccine, how do we stop it from continually spreading and evolving? If you were put as the minister of health for your country or WHO director general or the MD of a pharmaceutical company, what will you do differently to end the pandemic? |
Penguin2:It's an update to the law enacted in 2018 about land use |
And I always thought the "EKO" was because it was based in lagos (EKO). |
did you know that customary courts are not "Christian courts?" A customary court is simply a "common court" for all religions. To prove it is not a Christian court, in a Christian court only a "Pastor or General Overseer" can be a judge. Only "Christian lawyers" can stand and defend any accused in such a court and the book of authority in such a court will not be the "Nigerian constitution book" but the "holy bible". But this is not so in any customary court in the world. Any religion can serve as a lawyer there. In Nigeria customary courts many muslims are lawyers there. Many muslims also serve as judges there, infact the Chief justice or judge in Nigeria is a Muslim, Tanko Muhammad is his name. But sharia court is a Muslim only court, only muslims can serve as lawyers and judges there and the Quran is the constitution there. So please don't let this muslims fool us with the "cock and bull story" that customary courts are Christian courts and they need Sharia courts to balance the equation with Christians. It's a falsehood, no Christian in Nigeria has a Christian court |
LordReed:I get what you are asking and I responded appropriately but not too in depth. The two verses I quoted showed both the logic of believing in God's existence and how creation gives credibility to his existence which this TOPIC is about. From the two verses I read, God's existence has been shown to have logical merits. But by going in depth, you now want to learn about God or who he is. |
LordReed:That's a deeper topic, moving slightly away from how creation points to to creator indirectly. To understand this part, you have to come at it with a fresh perspective. Of cause you will have questions and ask questions but don't assume anything I havent categorically said or mentioned until I do. |
MightySparrow:Lol...you make your own rules, I see. |
MightySparrow: you no like wahala at all ![]() |
LordReed:Yeah they will try to keep it "SIMPLE", that simple is a figure of speech. It usually is complicated, it takes years to learn and perfect and that doesn't guarantee you will be a good programmer, many have fallen off the road! That is why their skill set is not easy to replicate until you go and learn those "SIMPLE" coding languages yourself and make an even simple software. The someone or something has to be a conscious being more powerful and far superior to anything found in the universe, it must be colossal! Hebrews 3:4 tells me it is God. |
LordReed:Yeah right! There are no right or wrong answers too. But the implications of your actions must be fully understood by you before you take them or can be such that you can defend them. |
LordReed:In your first statement you are confusing the complexity of design from a designers end and the ease of use from the users end. They are both different. From the designers end his invention is usually complicated. Eg a software like Instagram or nairaland or coding languages. It's more difficult and complex to create them than it is to use them. The examples of complex man made designs are much, so let me not go further. As for ease of use, it varies in complexity, from the operation of the space station (very complex), to an aeroplane( very complex), to a car (complex), to a software( may be complex to simple) etc. The question you raised is, can the universe be what created itself? and I pointed out that from observation the universe isn't conscious, as such it cannot make itself, neither can it make other lives. The universe is just like a gigantic system running on autopilot, like every system running on autopilot, it was placed in that state by someone. |
LordReed:I was just thinking. |
LordReed:Tough choice. People are usually shaped to become what they become at the later stage of their life when growing up. If I can get more time with him, maybe if I can raise him, just maybe his life choices may turn out differently. But if not, It leaves me with a difficult choice, if I alter history, will I make the present 2021 better or worse? Will another evil rise up in it's place and do a greater harm than Hitler would? Would I even be born in the future? Once I kill Hitler, I must be prepared for a future that I never imagined either good or bad. |
LordReed:Complexity is the hall mark of design. It is supported by science. It is believed that the more complicated tools a specie can fashion, the higher it's reasoning. A higher reasoning being can thus make even better designs. All over the earth, man makes the best designs of any of the species alive on earth, either as software or hardware or other man made objects. These designs are so complicated that you need manuals to operate them or you need to attend a school to operate them or even need to get a degree to operate them. We have seen the universe, it is not conscious, nothing about it tells us that it itself has life or can think to create life. |
LordReed:I won't unfortunately. But I'll make sure he never rules either as a civilian or in the military. |
LordReed:You responded quickly though and may have missed a point or two in my other response. Heb 3:4 gives a visual comparison between the complex design of man and how those complex designs could not spring up on their own unless someone designed it. It also shows that it would be logical to conclude someone constructed it, whether we see the person or not because that man made design is complex in it self. Nature and the universe in comparison is much more complex and beautiful than any man made designs, which leads to a constructor which is God - Hebrews 3:4 |
LordReed:Hebrews 3: 4 gives the answer when it states that "of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God." To add meaning to Hebrews 3:4 consider man made objects. Hebrews 3:4 uses a "house" as the man made object that has been constructed. When we see a beautifully constructed house, not just in design but in functionality, what is our LOGICAL CONCLUSION? We conclude that someone constructed it, someone put in HIS WISDOM, HIS POWER, HIS LOVE ( if it holds special sentiments to him) and HIS JUSTICE (it must follow legal proceedings to get a permit) etc into its construction. What if we see this beautiful building in the middle of a desert, a forest, the bottom of the ocean or even in outer space, like in the planet Mars or any other planet, what will be our conclusion? Logically we will still arrive at that same conclusion, SOMEONE CONSTRUCTED it there. It's location would not be important, neither will our INABILITY to DIRECTLY SEE the CONSTRUCTION PROCESS or THE CONSTRUCTOR. Now that's explaining a part of Hebrews 3: 4. Things in nature are much much complex than even a sophisticated building or other man made things, they require complex laws to understand them, they operate in ways our brains cannot physically reproduce or replicate. Whether minute or gigantic they are outstanding. As the later part of Hebrews 3:4 points out, the constructor of those things is God. |
LordReed:These things are not God and never would be God but they point to his existence indirectly because everything God worked on he put his dominant qualities into it; his love, his power, his wisdom and his justice. They paint a mosaic about the designer and his attributes. Of course, there is a difference between directly and indirectly. As with most living and non-living things in the physical universe, we examine their formation retrospectively, which is why what we know about them are indirect. |
LordReed:Romans 1: 20 is the basis that follows the scientific logic that what can be perceived indirectly is a fact. There points to the fact that "God's invisible qualities like power, wisdom, justice and love and his Godship can be PERCEIVED from his creation". |
LordReed:Wrong! By that statement "we see no direct evidence", that is where you got it wrong. Remember I said God can be PERCEIVED INDIRECTLY by his creation (Romans 1:20). I never said I was going to prove God directly, because the substance God is made from is beyond his physical creation which is the entire universe. I am explaining God's power in creation as can be PERCEIVED indirectly. That statement at Romans 1: 20 follows logical scientific principles. |
LordReed:Power is the ability to perform acts, the capacity to accomplish things, to do work; also, authority or influence as a result of endowments or position. God’s acts are not isolated, unrelated, or erratic expressions of energy but are coordinated, purposeful acts with a definite end in view. God’s power is revealed in many uncountable ways in the universe but I will explain just two close to our home Earth. On Earth, two shields keep us safe—the earth’s atmosphere and its magnetic field. The atmosphere, for example, does more than provide us with air to breathe. It also shields us from the majority of the debris that hurtles through space. Chunks of rock that could cause massive damage usually burn up on entering the earth’s atmosphere, creating beautiful bright streaks of light in the night sky. The earth’s magnetic field also protects us from harm. This shield originates deep inside the earth. The earth’s outer core, mostly made of molten iron, generates a powerful magnetic field that envelops us and stretches far into space. This field safeguards us from the radiation emanating from solar flares and explosions in the outer regions of the sun. Thanks to the earth’s magnetic field, these bursts of energy do not scorch all life on the surface of our globe. Instead, they are absorbed and deflected. We see evidence of our magnetic shield at work in the gorgeous multicolored light displays that dance in the sky near the North and South poles. Without a doubt, God is “vigorous in power.”—Read Isaiah 40:26. Man has found these two powerful shields very useful in transportation and telecommunication, amongst others. |
Workch:You are just trolling. I believe you are mature enough. |
Workch:You can be interested and follow but that is where my engagement ends with you. |
Workch:You will not be included. But you can follow the discuss but I'll only respond to LordReed's questions on the subject and not yours. |
