Issue has been buried since! I got admitted into 4 programs with the letter of proficiency but I missed others because of the same letter! I used RWTH for my example because it was boldly written on my letter of rejection. I even uploaded an email I had from OGVU to prove the point that NOT ALL SCHOOLS ACCEPT THAT LETTER and somebody is coming to tell me trash!

Your example to base for all schools in Germany is based on what a staff in Bremen told you? Or you do not know that the example I gave (RWTHA) is in NRW? Guy I'm not talking based on hearsay. I applied for MSc, and I did not write any test. Though I got some admissions, I know how many I missed because of lack of TOEFL/IELTS even when I had a proficiency letter from my school. AND RWTHAACHEN IS ONE OF THEM. So please don't say what you don't know.

Bro. Someone has earlier mentioned on this thread that the embassy do not accept laminated originals. However when I went to certify my documents, this same Chinese looking lady collected my laminated secondary school testimonial and a copy and certified it alongside my other docs. So this means we are not yet certain of the real problem in your own case.

As regards your case now, I suggest that you call the embassy quoting your visa application number and tell them that you have submitted the original of the certificate but in a laminated form. On the phone the embassy official will then perhaps be able to tell you whether it is the lamination that is the problem or if it js just an error from their end.

If the lamination is the problem, then you could ask them if its possible to take your certificate back amd remove the lamination (but this may damage it or they may not even give it to you now).

Alternatively you could visit your university asap and work around with the students record or HOD or Dean (whichever works fastest) to obtain a document on letterhead that states that you have fulfilled all the requirements to be awarded a Bachelors degree, signed and stamped. You can then take this to the embassy. However before you do this, I advice that you inform the embassy so that they can know what to expect from you
