seniors in the house, good day!
We (Wife and i) picked up our passports on 7th, visa approved. But we discovered an error in my surname spelling (B instead of E). Anyone had such experience? And how did you attend this. Though we returned the passport to our TLScentre immediately and a correction form was filled and the visa (passport) was retrieved.
How long will it take them to rectify the error? Note: We were able to confirm that the error is from UKVI and not from us..
Fortunately for us, we have booked our flight for 12th of August to Sunderland. |

AdielaAj: Please I need your help because right now I am really frustrated, there was a error on my uk visa VIGNETTE, my agent made ma mistake while filling online form, for my departure date he imputed 15/10/2022 as opposed 15/01/2022, so when my visa came it’s validation starts 15/10/2022 and my school resumed 26th of January, I mailed them immediately to help me correct the error that I was supposed to leave Nigeria by January not October, they asked for some information which I forwarded to them and they replied by saying they ll get back to me within 15 workings days, it’s 15working days already and I have gotten any feedback from them, paid for another mail today, they said they ll get back to me within another 5 working days, it’s really causing me sleepless nights. Pls any suggestions will be welcome. Please ma, How did you resolve this issue? and how long did it take for UKVI to reissue a new vignette? I am currently experiencing the same issue. My name was wrongly spelled on my vignette. |

Olamighty18: Good day everyone, hope you're doing great. First of all, I give thanks to the Almighty God for His and divine grace. Unarguably, we are all products of grace. I came in to Abuja on Wednesday night and my documentation was scheduled for Wednesday 26th. Please I am only giving a load down of my experience and my was applicable to me and me alone. I was scheduled for 9am but I was there at the venue as early as 7am,on getting I, discovered that people that were scheduled for 11am and afternoon had came as early as 6am. Which means your time doesn't really inasmuch as its the same day, just ensure you go there very early so that you can start the process on time. Right from the gate, we did a bit of drilling; we were given forms to fill, IPPIS form for a start. If you already have a Pension account, good for you, it will make your process faster but if not the forms will be given to you there however you might not really be registered in the Pension organisation of your choice. Yesterday, I only saw just one pension(OAK pension) forms been given out. From there, we were moved or jogged by an officer to another canopy where we made to sing along, "I FOUND WORK, I SEE, I SEE WORK I RUN" Thereafter, we were on a queue, we registered our names and sat there under the canopy. We were given a crested vest of Immigration under that same canopy outside. About 4 forms were given again and we were marched inside the basement of a very big hall holding a capacity of about 10,000. Our urine was collected for the test of tramadol and other things I can't remember. This doesn't take time and from there we proceeded upstairs to the main hall. Here if you are ASI, you will meet the Ministry of Interior delegates for your Appointment letters. Remember to buy about 2 post office stamp when coming but if you don't have, there's someone there that gives out at a token. There, you are to fill some certain forms too and you will drop the 1 photocopies of each of your documents. Mind you, testimonial was collected for primary school leaving certificate. Although i did an affidavit to support but there was no thorough checking, as in no scrutiny at all.. We left the board to cleared at another table where they requested for our invitation letter. Take note that documentation at the delegates/representatives of Ministry of Interior is quite different from that of Immigration and it is for ASI and this because their letter is issued by the Secretary to the Board why the letters of other junior cadres comes directly from the CGI, hence they won't have to come to the section of Ministry of Interior for anything. Make I no bore you with too much stories, you will be issued Appointment letter and from there a posting letter to your state of Origin was issued. A file will be given to you which has your File Number or Service number on it. File number is the same as service number and its a unique identifying number that stays with you for the rest of life just like your phone number. Photocopies of your documents will be sectionally requested at different points, so get the ready. Your medical fitness letter is required. If you are married, bring along your marriage certificate. Know your height, weight, colour of your hair, chest measurements, colour of your eyes, blood group, genotype.. Just the few I can remember in one of the forms. However, if you don't know it, you can leave it but it's advisable to fill it. We proceeded for IPPIS capturing and later ID-card. I must confess that since that morning, it was really hectic and rigorous. Please carry snack or food along o. Na till 8pm I comot there though I couldn't finish up everything in a day, but am just left with the part of ID-card which I'm going to conclude today. Truly, it is not what can be concluded in a day. If you are very fast, it will still a 2 days. You also have to very smart, sharp and shine ya eyes(BBN). But I must confess thag Nigeria Immigration Service is well organised and well coordinated. I have benefitted so much from this thread right from day one of my application to Immigration in terms of information, update and guidance and I really appreciate everyone for your contribution. Thanks Dannyx, Suppo and others for your timely info. It's been a wonderful journey of fate together. Wish you God's grace in your endeavour. If you haven't come over for your Appointment letter and this exercise, just relax your mind, you will get it, nobody is sending you back for anything. Throughout yesterday nobody was sent back for anything around me which I was aware of. All izz well.
Mind you, nobody is considered for ASI-1, All na ASI-2 but if you don drop your Master's Certificate, a very Senior officer, he's a medical doctor, told me it will really hasten your promotion and career progression.
Please don't mind my typing, composition and grammar. I rushed in typing just to give this update. It was when I got here that I knew those that didn't give us update as such don't really have the time. When you get here, keep your belongings:credentials phones and all very well, Naija will always be Naija oo. Congratulations in advance. Thanks alot boss. This is very comprehensive an highly informative boss. You have such a good heart bro. Salute to the latest ASI officer of the corp. |

Will they process those who are for the replacement and those who are for the general recruitment at the same time or just the general recruitment at the moment Boss, just be hopeful sir. You asked the same question on immigration thread. Those for replacement will definitely get info from their various plugs. The focus here is "when is the documentation". You can reach out to your plug for necessary updates if need be. We will all rejoice at the end. |

It is reported and confirmed that the turnout for the ongoing result verification and medical screening exercise is very LOW. Which is a GREEN sign for most of YOU guys on this page. I also got the information that The Officers were directed to call some of the shortlisted candidates on phone which a number of them declined reason best known to them. Some are not sure of the authenticity of the call due to the current security state of the country, while other are already engaged (and some others LOCATION). If you know anyone that is still expectant, please encourage them to keep checking their mails and also mobile. For those who have paid for SLOTs, it is not over yet. I am so sure lot of people will benefit from this process because SLOTS go plenty die due to the low turnout by prospective candidates...lol.. |

In addition to all the info that has been well spelt out above as touching ABEOKUTA screening center. If you are coming from neighboring states or a distance location, you can do well to get to the screening location a day before your screening date. They provided hostel accommodation to prospective officers like you...lol... Also note that, the process is very friendly if you can adhere to their demands as stated on the invitation letter. All your documents (ORIGINAL) will be checked including your MEDICAL FITNESS cert, your FSLC testimonial or cert, Secondary school cert (WAEC, NECO), First degree (if any) and the physical medical examination will be carried out.. NOTE: If you have any age discrepancy, do well to present an affidavit but if you don`t have a sworn affidavit, dont panic. An High court of Justice is located close to the venue.
It will end in praise for YOU all...
The above info is 100% valid, my wife was screened at the location yesterday and we are expecting the perfection of the testimony.. |

Gurus in the house, Please I need a competent technician that can help me work on my honda civic 2008 AC. I was told i need to change the compressor and the condenser after spending about 12k fixing leakage pipe (but worked for only 2 days). How much can I budget for the compressor and condenser?
Also, whenever the level of my fuel move to like 20% (based on gauging system) while driving, the throttle will stop accelerating. I will have to pull over and restart the engine to fire up again but if I am running on a full tank, such will not be experience. Some technician told me i need to cleanup the tank (NOTE: I have changed my fuel pump twice), while some confirm it is an electrical issue...
Kindly assist with a vital solution my able gurus. This is my first car and I am not enjoying the experience at all.

We have initiated the WES evaluation process and we are also preparing to write IELTS. I read from this thread that WES do give good score to ND,HND holder, so I filled all my educational certificates for evaluation..But based on the timing and new info I have gathered so far, won't it delay the whole process considering the state of our Nigeria institution? Will I get same score if only my MSc has been presented? And how do I modify my account since my Ref NO has been issued? |
