In my own opinion, though Rochas might have his own flaws, I still stand on the well known fact that his achievement within the 2 yr period he has spent in office, by far surpasses PDP's achievement in 12 years in Imo State. As for PDP in Imo State, their own idea of development is LOOTING from the state coffers. It hasn't been business as usual for them (PDP goons) Since Okorocha came into office.
NB: I have no party affiliation and I am a fan of GEJ.

Ngige, APC Guber Candidate Slaps Catholic Priest

By James Eze

As the November 16, 2013 gubernatorial election draws nearer, the APC candidate, Senator Chris Ngige seems to be losing grip on the race as shown in a strange incident which led to his slapping of a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ezekwona at a burial ceremony in Nanka, Agulu, Anambra State on Thursday.

Senator Ngige who seems to be on a rollercoaster since he emerged the APC flag-bearer in the coming polls, grinding from one controversy to another, was said to have become furious when he erroneously concluded that Rev. Fr. Ezekwona was deliberately standing in his way and suddenly snapped, pouncing on the hapless priest, strangling him first and then unleashing a torrent of slaps on both sides of the face.

The incident took place at the at the burial of the mother of the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor in Nanka which attracted prominent sons and daughter the state including politicians.

An eye witness, Obiora Onwuama, who observed the scuffle, revealed that after unleashing his fury on Rev. Fr. Ezekwona, Ngige was not fully satisfied and promptly instructed his personal aides to torture him and they promptly pounced and inflicted more bodily injuries on him.

“We were all horrified at the sight. Senator Ngige must have acted blindly because the man was dressed in his cassock. There were screams of shock and horror from the onlookers but Senator Ngige could not be stopped. He must have mistaken Fr. Evaristus for a member of the opposition party,” Onwuama explained in total disbelief.

According to him, the earlier assumption that Senator Ngige may have acted in error soon gave way to a deeper fear when upon his instruction, his aides descended heavily on the hapless priest, punching and kicking him to the consternation of onlookers.

The APC gubernatorial candidate seems to be courting controversy with ease in recent times starting with his ill-conceived statement justifying the deportation of 79 Igbos from Lagos to the poorly timed kick-off of his campaign rally in Onitsha on the same day that the Ofala Festival was taking place which provoked the anger of the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe and his cabinet.

Ngige was also recently reported to have engaged the Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi in a futile tussle for prominence when he hijacked the governor's seat at a recent Mass conducted by Arch-Bishop Valerian Okeke at the Onitsha Prisons and rebuffed all entreaties to relinquish the seat.

The diminutive Senator has also been fingered for pulling down and pouring black oil on the APGA candidate's billboards placed in strategic locations across the state.

Nemerem, your parent's reports are influenced by the smokescreen effect of the man Rochas, He is a master in the art of deceit. Take it from me, if you are a discerning fellow and step into Imo state, it will not take you two days to decode the reality on ground. THE MAN, ROCHAS, IS A LIE!
Am sorry, I don't agree with u. We need to admit this for once, Rochas is trying. His achievements within 2 years can't be compared with that of OHAKIM during his 4 years tenure. From my own investigation, the people castigating him are doing so because he isn't into sharing money like his predecessors during the PDP era. It is no longer "PDP!!! = Share The Money Let's Go!. I don't know if u still remember that slogan. It was common during the PDP era in Imo State. So let's allow him work please....

Because Okorocha ultimately turned himself to Governor of Owerri. In owerri he gives orders that road construction works be completed under 60 days, while roads he started elsewhere linger ad infinitum. Let's hope Owerri votes return him for second term.
what u are saying is false. The local road to my village has been tarred completely. That road wasn't there as at February this year. This is a road I always said to myself that it will only be tarred when someone from my Village takes over power. Am from Ezinihitte Mbaise in case u care to know.

U people aren't happy with what transpired between Jude Agbaso (ur brother) and Rochas, and as a result of that, anything Rochas does mean nothing to u guys. My Oga, being abusive won't make u win the arguement. The radio is calling for calm on the basics of what APGA said, also based on that, I can see the same disgruntled elements are trying to forment trouble based on APGA's pronouncement. What exactly have you said?
Since he has done well as you claim, he should dump the Igbo' regional party APGA that brought him to power, for a Yoruba'/Hausa' regional party APC, that has done nothing but deport Igbos at the dead of the night and dump them by head bridge ?
. I see the angle u are coming from. Ur own issue is the party he joined, and not whether he is performing or not. Now I want u to get this, We IMOLITES don't cast our votes on the basics of the party one belongs to, ant that's why Rochas defied all odds and defeated Ohakim at the polls, despite all measures put in place by PDP, Rochas still won. Also remember that Imolites didn't bother to know his Rochas's Senatorial Zone before voting him in. Come 2015, Imolites will still Vote PDP at the National level, and APC at the state level. #Truth

I still don't know why u guys keep attacking this Okorocha guy. I've asked my parents who stay in Owerri how he is performing and everybody keeps saying wonders. Mind u, I grew up in Owerri myself but don't stay there any longer. Also, I don't want to believe that the people speaking ill of My Governor on this forum are political goons from PDP whom under their (PDP) administration, Imo State was in a state of Despair. At least I witnessed that myself. U guys should get something meaningful to do as a means of livelihood and stop waiting for money meant for the development of the state to be shared among a few disgruntled irressponsible elements that I view their comments on this forum whenever the Name Rochas Okorocha comes up. Nairaland / General / Bus Preacher Beaten To Coma In Lagos After Condoms Fall From Bible by Nemerem44(m): 6:23pm On May 24, 2013
A bus preacher was almost lynched on Saturday morning at Toyota Bus stop, in front of the popular Ladipo Spare parts market, when some condoms allegedly fell out of his bible as he preached the ‘Word of God’.

DailyPost gathered that the self acclaimed Man of God was dragged out of the commercial bus and beaten into a pulp before he was rescued by some policemen.

According to information made available to DailyPost, the Pastor had embarked on his journey from Apapa and proceeded to preach to the people on the bus, using very strong words like “If you wear trouser you’ll go to hell! The Devil invented Make up! Weave-on is from Marine Kingdom! If you have pre-marital sex you will burn in hell and your skin will peel!”

It was learnt that the people in the bus were so moved and some started falling under the anointing.

According to an eye witness, Mr. John Mbakogu, who was on his way to his shop at Ladipo, “People were just falling as he was laying hands. One man almost fell out of the bus under the influence of the Spirit. It was amazing until he raised his hands to cast the demons out of one girl, and 2 Durex condoms fell out”

“The angry men in the bus who had been having pangs of guilt due to the pastor’s preaching about sex suddenly got really angry and pounced on him, who all of a sudden started shouting, I also preach safe sex! Safe sex is good!”

However, Policemen had to be called to the scene to save the pastors life. So far 2 arrests have been made, and the Condoms have been kept as evidence.
