lookingforjob: Once upon a time, there was a warlord named odumegwu Ikemba Ojukwu. He wrongly fought for the disintegration of Nigeria by trying to carve out a biafran territory. This action led to a civil war and ojukwu's actions led to the death of millions igbos. Instead of standing by them to fight and defend them, he fled cowardly to ivory coast on exile. The actions of the civil war are still unforgiven by the igbos till today. They forgot the then head of state was under a mandate to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria. Since the head of state was a northerner, igbos have Since hated the north and Yoruba's. They are the major followers of this administration even though its obvious that its not performing. They prefer to suffer and live in penury than vote for the right change. This is why they consider buhari as a wrong candidates whereas had APC presented a young hausa/yoruba in his 40's, they will still label him no good. This is just to educate the ignorant ones about the reason why the igbos decided to follow Jonathan like a fly following a corpse to the grave Is dis wot ur joblessness has caused u, Mr-looking-for-a-job ?? |

paulavon: How many nobel laureates do the Yorubas have?Number of professors is not an indicator of intelligence,it might be easier to become a professor in the west than other regions.if you match a first class graduate from the west and that of the south-south that is when you know real intelligence.
Being a coward has nothing to do with fight, nobody is asking the yorubas to fight for them. A typical yoruba from Lagos or Ibadan, when he travels to a place like warri or port-harcourt,you see him being so uncomfortable, always suspecting everyone and looking above his shoulders. He only feel safe when he is around fellow yorubas.
Respect does not have to be selective,if you have it in you,it should flow.
Another misconception is that they are accomodating, that is not true.most landlords in lagos do not rent houses to non-yorubas.My friend and I had the same experience. Also Most of the people don't want to gist with you, they are even angry with you for not been able to speak their language. They assume everyone should be able to speak it. Wa gbayi! |
