The former vice chairman of the Nigeria Football Association believes this present national team can take inspiration from the 1994 set that made its debut World Cup appearance Tony Nnachetta, president of the Class of ’94 Incorporated believes the achievement of the 1994 Super Eagles squad can serve as a major boost for the current squad as they journey to the Fifa World Cup Brazil 2014. As part of celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of Nigeria’s World Cup debut in 1994, Nnacheta also pointed out that there will be series of events to mark the exploits of the team led by Clemens Westerhoff. “We plan to have a week-long series of activities including the unveiling of a book and a documentary. The story of THE CLASS OF '94 is being introduced in an all gloss 120-page coffee table book and a 120-minute television documentary. The book brings for the record the exploits and efforts that led to this ascendancy and it tells the direct stories from THE CLASS OF '94 as never published before,” said Nnachetta. “This is to relive and honour one of the most triumphant moments of Nigerian football. It will provide a reunion for members of the World Cup '94 squad, as well as serve as impetus to the squad aspiring for the Class of 2014 World Cup. “ It will afford the young generation of Nigerians and footballers to behold their heroes and enable a grateful nation renew itself with opportunity to rally for Brazil 2014 and recreate the legacy of the 1994 era of Nigeria football,” concluded Nnachetta. The celebration will take place in the first quarter of 2014 on a date yet to be announced. Source: Goal.com

I like his appearance and he is such a fine guy . Many would love to look like him and many women would love to have such an appearance or fine nature as a husband. One thing I detest about him is showing or writing about his escapade with women and leaving it at the public's disposal . That doesn't make him a gentleman. |

If Arsenal beats Man City, they would extend their lead to 38 points which means Liverpool needs to beat Tottenham so as to have 33 points and obviously the blues will beat Crystal Palace and they also will have 33 points. Should Arsenal draw Man City match, Liverpool wins and Chelsea wins, Arsenal will be leading Liverpool and Chelsea by just two points which makes the next match interesting. Then, there will be battle for who tops EPL going into Christmas. I can't just wait to watch all these fixtures. |
If Super Eagles can get maximum 6points against Bosnia and Iran, the the last game against Argentina will be based on who tops the group.I think at that stage,Argentina will be under pressure and will be vulnerable too.I believe they are beatable. |
Harmvirus: Draw against man city? I doubt and they are only 5points ahead of liverpoolIf Arsenal draws against Man City, they have 36pts and Liverpool beats Tottenham, they have 33 which I know will be difficult.I see Arsenal losing to Chelsea because they have a good record over the Gunners and if Liverpool wins their next game, then both Arsenal and Liverpool will have 36points each.I think Arsenal will still maintain the lead on goals difference. All these are mere speculations as it could still go either way but I fear Arsenal might be running out of gas after a draw against Everton and a loss against Napoli. That is a big blow to their confidence. |
Harmvirus: I don't think they can survive their next fixturesIf they get a draw against Manchester City this weekend which looks likely but I dont see them beating the blues come Dec 23rd,whichever they will still top EPL.They might just be lucky this season to win the title. |

Tottenham has finally been scoring goals having scored at least two in each of their last three EPL games. They also come into Sunday’s match unbeaten in their last three matches and having won two in a row. Liverpool have not had any difficulty scoring goals this season having already amassed 34 while Luis Suarez’s 14 is just one less than Tottenham’s total tally as a team. Liverpool have also won back to back matches, both at home, following a disappointing two match road trip in which they drew 3-3 to Everton and lost 3-1 at Hull. Despite this they are second in the table with 30 points and a +16 goal difference. Tottenham are currently in sixth place with 27 points and a -1 goal difference. Both teams tend to play a possession based game, however, Tottenham have mostly stuck with a 4-2-3-1 using two inverted wingers that like to cut inside. Liverpool have mostly stuck with a 3-5-2, but have had to modify this somewhat with Sturridge out injured and set up with their own 4-2-3-1 against West Ham. Both teams like to have their fullbacks push forward and this should lead to some exciting football. Additionally both managers are known to be tactically aware and the strategic battle for this match will be interesting to watch. |
