It will be injustice on the part of CAF if Mikel John Obi is refused the AFOY. While not trying to discredit Yaya's performance at club level but he wasn't able to replicate such form for his country while Mikel shone like a bright star at the last AFCON. The Chelsea man truly deserves the award. |
They need to sack Moyes asap otherwise no champions league next year aliciakeith7: Manchester urinated lost 1-2 to Swansea at home hope you knew that? |
jude33084: Which career? Mikel has won almost everything playing in dat position. Mourinho gave him a position dat befit him. Mikel would have been long forgoten had it been he played for Manu.Your submission is debatable because he could as well been a better play had he gone to Man Utd.Whichever way,the unique thing about this dude is that he has been able to play regularly under ALL coaches that has coached Chelsea since he joined except AVB,the reason he get laid-off easily as tottenham the most recent . |
Adikam: Mr mugu dont compare mikel & messiYour brain lacks comprehending abilities.Go back and read the dude's submission slowly, maybe that would help. |
Nairaland has contributed negatively to our people than we can imagine. Nairalanders have been whitewashed politically and religiously to the extent that some few individuals only think for them. Nairaland has created enmity between the Yorubas and the Igbos, between APC and PDP members, between Muslims and christians, between Hausas and Middle beltans, between men and women, etc Whenever I open nairaland politics section and I see how people bashed my yoruba ethnic group, I feel pained to the marrow because this is a pointer of what caused the civil war. Last Bullet: I think Seun should enact a law on nairaland that whenever someone abuses a fellow nairalander, the person being abused should not resort to abusing the whole ethnic clan of the other. Face the man that's abusing you and stop categorising all the ethnic groups....its very wrong. However, it is very shameful for seun osewa, a yorubaman to create nairaland and thereby allow some people to start insulting his ancestors and forefather because of their different political leanings.....u cannot create a platform for people to interract, and some people hijack the platform to rain curses and abuses on ur ethnicity and culture....Nairaland has lost its values
Things are not always the way they seem.Try not to take all the comments you read here seriously, lest you die of hypertension.*Just my 2cent* |
Kaxmytex: Yaya toure beats mikel obi to win BBC African player award...,.Any player that wins BBC African award doesn't always win AFOY.I pray it happens this year too |
His displays throughout last year was never in doubt. The crown fits Mikel. All hail the King of Africa ![]() .That goal was a further confirmation of his supremacy.Yaya should just concede defeat. |
The desperation as envisaged by both camps of both PDP and APC makes it very easy to believe anything emanating from them.I think the country has never witnessed such desperation from political parties before as we have now.Anyway,I dont really care about whatever happens to them, besides whatever a man soweth,he shall receive same. They are about to receive the result of the enormous hardship they have bestowed upon us over the years. My prayer is that all in all,God shall continue to protect the innocent masses. |
twaintoy: OMG!!!! I was born on the 14th day of October 1986 and am getting married on February 14th and 15th, 2014. Traditional wedding on the 14th, white wedding on 15th.Congratulations .This is an invitation announcement without venue![]() |
4/4,6/6,8/8,10/10,12/12 all of 2014 shows that all the numbers are even numbers. |
Greed, selfishness and corruption are our greatest problem while our leaders use ethnic and religious bigotry as tools to disunite us.All I see in all the letters written by all these leaders is conflict of interests. |
I laugh with my legs widely opened because none of us can influence the voting.I am totally against an individual award for a team sport because it is higly injustice to single out a player for recognition when others also labour to get the result.Going by the achievement so far for both country and club,Mikel reigns supreme while Yaya fumbled except other facts will being considered for the winner.Having said that,at times, best players dont win individual awards. So whoever wins,I'd say congratulations but would love to see Mikel wins it.The award has eluded Nigeria far too long. |
Mee234: This is not a prophecy but teaching. prophecy is "thus say the lord, by this time........."Well said. |
I cant believe I wasted my megabyte reading that crap ![]() |
Gidaheights: Born in May 92, I tell all that cares to listen this is the best president I've ever seen although there is no road to my village.Talking about being sarcastic ![]() ![]() ![]() |
I m laffing to the extent that I m vomiting Aligator Pepper and Shcnapps! Last Bullet: Now to the matter. GEJ sent cow to Pastor Tunder Bakare. Is it only cow. Or a cow with some Ghana must go bags? Honestly, GEJ should stop attempts in romancing these guys. He should focus on repairing Nigeria. Since August, after the take over of PHCN, power supply has decreased in my area to the lowest supply I can ever imagine. I m very sure that's how it has affected every places in the country. And that's very bad. Expecially during this festive period. If GEJ improve the fortunes of Nigeria with evidence like constant power supply. In 2015, Nigerians ll beg him to come and continue till 2019. Some Nigerians are only following APC cos GEJ & PDP has failed them! I rest my case.
A pastor had already predicted GEJ bribing, begging and lobbying himself through and gathering support for 2015.I think the begging has started. |
homesteady: I'll like to know the church she went to! Haven't the pastor or elders or even the ushers heard about her?Jesus came to this world because of sinners.Yes,sinners are welcome in the church where they can seek salvation.Your submission shows you are ignorant. |
Bigcake: Pls hw can i post a topic on nairaland. I hav a very interesting topic dat will make frontpage. You need to categorize your post by knowing where your post should properly fits into. You can view the category on the home page where you would see:Celebrities, sports, politics,Culture,Romance etc.Once you click any of the above, scrolling down a bit to the top right corner, you would see 'create new topic',click it to create a new topic. After that, you would see where you could submit your post at the down left corner.Enjoy! |
kettykin: Is there really anything like southern Muslims, were they originally Muslims or new converts . The problem with nigeria is non uniformity and cohesion, if there are southern Muslims what is presently stopping them from migrating to join their Muslim brothers in the north if that will make peace to reign while northern Christians can migrate to the southJust like that.Talk is cheap. |
Dont we have other pastors doing the prophesy thing!!!Why must it always be yoruba pastors seeing the future.I tire for this trend.Quite frankly, the country is sick and we need cure.If prayer is the cure,so be it. |
Seeking attention and in dare need of traffic and alas, she got it. |
The Barrister did a good job by pointing out some of these mistakes,at least,he would have sent a clear message and gotten the much desired attention from those that prepares the President's speeches.Having said that,I think it is high time we give the President a break!Inasmuch as I am not his fan,I think the insults he receives on daily basis makes the office of the President ordinary. It also shows why he always appear jittery while answering questions from reporters as his confidence level has greatly declined.Alas,he doesnt look as though he could recover from the loss in confidence.Anyway,I guess this is an eye-opener for those charged with the responsibility of preparing his speeches. They need to do more in this area. |
Peterjosh: Op u know how we rock it here.......... PICTURES OR IT DID NOT HAPPEN......Relax bro,the match would be played today.Picture and scoreline would be provided too. |
Now she knows that being married isn't as important as staying married. |
Sirtondy: Okay.it has been noted.but it's somehow malodorous excrescence of mobocrazy.Wetin this one dey talk? |
prem love: So if am not smart notin for meThey will desire cool people for cool tv. |
