Oluschenco: Nigeria has achieved unity, I mean people thought Nigeria should have fallen/divided by now. pls for hw long did USSR maintain her unity ? For as long as I can remember,it was btw 1927 and 1987 b4 d soviet union was finally dissolved in dec 26 1991? . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Soviet_Union_(1985%E2%80%931991) Its just 49yrs of commotion consequent upon ethnic discrepancy and religious bigotry Lets wait n see what elites in this our generation will do. Sit back n watch d 2011 episode of wat I refer to as "Nigeria's Revolution" Ajike: somebody said this and I qoute: can Nigerians manage anyting? Oyinbos managed the country before 1960s, and we had roads, railway, telephone, running water, clean gutters, GRAs, ECN, well matained colonia buildings, a fantastic civil service (almost curruption free), a populance with good values, good government hsopitals, a good educational system (primary and secondary) and a first class university. Now what do we have? Bank Thieves and the most corrupt management team both in the civil service and the private sector. Look at the multinationals - Oyinbos have taken thier companies back before Nigerians ruin them - Unilever, Nestle, Cadbury, Nigerian Breweries, Guinnes,, P&G etc. Where there are no proper Oyinbos, they bring us Indians or some other Kora. Big shame! At 49, the country is still retarded. Good people of a Great nation, we can still make it. 2011 is around the corner let us salvage this country 2gether Ajike we r together. I know one thing for sure: No one will build Nigeria 4 us.Nigeria will be built by Nigerians in this our own generation come 2011 |

bidemi12: @honeyguy well i must say that your arguement is well composed and somewhat logical but in some areas you made conjectures based on hearsay and not from direct experience. First of all i believe the Nigerians that are complaining are very much justified in doing so. There is no reason why we should be living in abject povery as we are right now. we are too blessed for that. 2) Granted America is owing money but at least we know what they are using the money for. Can you say the same of our county? I have lived here for years and i have never witnessed a minute of power failure. 3)Why in the first place will i want to live in another man's land if not for a better life for me and my family? And why wont i when the leadership in my country is stiffling me? 4)Apart from the value of the currency which is a goldmine back home, America represents the opportunity to become whatever and whoever you want to be. The whole society is structured in such a way that whether you like it or not you are encouraged to advance yourself to succeed. can you say the same about our beloved country? The credit system you mentioned applies only to Americans because that is their culture. I am a Nigerian with a background which taught me to save up for whatever i need. so why should i take credit? why should i buy a house when i can build one back home? why should i buy a new car when i can buy one cheaper at an auction. My point being that because a Nigerian lives abroad does not mean he forgets where he comes from. 5) the reason why people come here and achieve nothing is simply because America is not a lawless country. People come here with visitor visa and decide to stay. Big mistake. with that kind of visa nobody will employ you or rent an apartment for you or allow you to open an account. Ask anyone who has papers if he has achieved anything and see the answer you will get. Abject lesson, do not come here if you do not have the correct papers. And like i said before why would i want to come here in the first place if not for the situation back home. The investors you mentioned are business men. If we as Nigerians cannot see our potential does not mean others cant. When they make their profits do you think they keep it in our banks? of course not. They take it back home. No one in their right minds will ever compare Nigeria to a place like Ghana not to talk of America. God punish all those leaders who have put us in this situatuon U r very knowledgable my brother n i agree with u totally. as for ur points 1 - 5 , I can testify cos my kokolet has papers and she resides in Ohio, to my surprise she still sends money home to build a house. If i tell her pple r really complaining abt america, she will laugh and tell me to shut up .For once she has nvr complain 2 me.As for her she nvr want to come home for any reason. When ur own home is becoming too unbearable to be called shelter,do u think installing 1000 split AC's will bring u satisfaction |

Connoisseur: I refuse to accept that we ve not achieved anything in our 49years. Nigeria has achieved more at 49 than most of the countries we call developed achieved at 70. We re not progressing as expected but we ll get there. All we need is a set of determined leaders to get us there. Long live Nigeria. obviously u r a politician's son for u to have spoken like this . Cos only politician have achieved something in 49 yrs . Nigeria has achieved more at 49 than most of the countries we call developed achieved at 70. can u pls cite examples frm the excerpt ^^^^^^^ Quest: wat hv we achieved more then d developed countries |

Education › This Is Beyond Coincedence "america History Class" by nethacker(op): 3:45pm On Sep 30, 2009 |
This is an oldy but interesting to view a second time. History Mystery
Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can. Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head
Now it gets really weird.
Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .
Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born
in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'. Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford'.
Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse. Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the kicker,
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland . A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe. WHO FIGURED THIS OUT?
INCREDIBLE 1) Fold a NEW $20 bill in half. 2) Fold again, taking care to fold it exactly as seen in pix$$$$$$ below 3) Fold the other end, exactly as before as seen in Pixpentagon below 4) Now, simply turn it over, as seen in PixtwinTower below What a coincidence! A simple geometric fold creates a catastrophic premonition printed on all $20 bills!!!
COINCIDENCE? YOU DECIDE
As if that wasn't enough, Here is what you've seen,
Firstly The Pentagon on fire, PixPentagon
Then The Twin Towers. PixTwinTowers And now , look at the $20 bill after being folded in another way, pixOsama) below
[b]TRIPLE COINCIDENCE ON A SIMPLE $20 BILL It gets even better 9 + 11 = $20! i.e sept 11 Hey, this is one history lesson most people probably will not mind reading!

abiodun1st: Hello guys, I have just received my I-20 with an offer in Business Administration & Management but what I need to ask before applying for my visa is that I am holding a WAEC certificate that I had D7 in my English year 2002 and I still have another WAEC certificate that I had C4 in my English year 2004. I applied to the school with my O.N.D and I was granted admission.
My question is this:
(1) Can I apply for my visa with a combined WAEC certificate? (2) Does age matter when applying as an undergraduate student co'z am 28 yrs already?
Please kindly help me out with the necessary information needed to apply for my visa.
One love,
Abey, As 4 d english,It doesnt matter at all,to d best of my knowledge. Wat matters most is U and how composed u will be wen u face d consular . Even d embassy do advise that it is more abt u and less abt ur documents. As per age, well God can intervene. U can read thru previous posts to hv a general idea of wat u might face. Gbawe: Just a concerned Nigerian. I think we all have to play our part if tyrannical rule , designed to keep it 'business as usual' for a few , is to be defeated. Given what we have been through and the blood that has being shed to get us this far we must renounce the oppressive and intolerant style of leadership Yar Adua is using to regress our nation. If they call me and you human rights abusers abroad we will be angry but what is the Nigerian FG doing in our collective name? How can you refuse to renew the Passport of a citizen of Nigeria when said individual is not a citizen of any other nation? Is that not a dictatorial way of telling El-Rufai that "go and beg the nation you ran to for a Passport since we won't renew your Nigerian passport "?
How can a Nigerian Citizen be beaten publicly by Naval men at the behest of their boss only for the case to be , more or less , burried by the Yar Adua Government? Till today no one has been brought to book for the sadistic and public humiliation dished out to the young lady in question !!!!
Why should a Foreign based blogger visiting Nigeria be locked up by the Yar Adua Government without access to the world , only to then be released without charge weeks later, because said blogger wrote about our Presidents health and his treatment sojourn (wrapped as as lesser Hajj) to Saudi Arabia?
Human rights abuse is rife under Yar Adua and Nigerians should speak up before our President begins to think he can act with impugnity always without fear of consequence . I am beginning to believe u r a lawyer and an activist.I might be wrong,i dont knw.But u r right |
