A degree does not guarantee success in mariage; IT DOES NOT EVEN GUARANTTEE SUCCESS IN businesses because we have seen so many degee holders who run down businesses entrusted to them - SOME OF OUR BANKS' CEOs for instance

It (degrees) just gives you an insight and better understanding of your area of discipline and other areas of life (this you can also do without a degee) as the case may be depending on your kind of person you are (ambitous and innovative wise)

It is not only women degree holders that do shakara - men too do that.

The point is that a good, reasonable, kind, understanding, patient, down-to-earth-person no matter how educated he/she is will always maintain those humble and noble traits. The same goes too for snubs and little minds, and other negative people (their education does not improve them). You know why? Changes does not come from without but from within! And this makes the degrees superficial!

What make one a degree holder anyway?

Answer: the CERTIFICATE!

Outside that, we are all equal and the same!

Even some so called degree holders are really EYE SORES when you come close to and hear them talk.

My mother never saw the four walls of a classroom but she ran and still run our home (VERY) well.

On a last note people, Degrees does not put foods on our tables because if it does WE WOULD NOT HAVE SO MANY RETCHED PROFESSORS AND LECTURERS who can hardly feed themselves not to talk of helping others!

Rights activists under the aegis of Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) this morning took to the streets in Lagos to demand that the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Michael Aondoakaa, be sacked with immediate effect.

They urged President Umaru Yar’Adua to sack Aondoakaa for protecting former Delta State Governor, James Ibori and other corrupt leaders from the long arm of the law.

The activists, wearing white T shirts with the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s picture on it, chanted war songs, as they marched from Ikeja bus stop to Alausa secretariat at the office of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

The Chairman of CACOL, Comrade Debo Adeniran, told P.M News that the demonstration became necessary because Aondoakaa, who was Ibori’s lawyer for many years, can no longer be trusted.

“We are here to express our displeasure on how Aondoakaa has been playing his role as the Chief Law Officer of Nigeria. From everything he has done, undone, or said, it is evident that he is not interested in fighting corruption in Nigeria, rather, all his activities have only been directed at protecting indicted and exposed corrupt leaders from facing justice.”

The protesters planned to submit a petition on allegations of corruption against James Ibori to Governor Fashola at the Alausa secretariat, where they intended to terminate their demonstration.

I think it all depends girl in question. I hold two degrees in Engineering, not yet 25, and unless i tell you, you won't even guess that. My mum has always told me that a woman's best asset is her character. I personally don't like people who think or act like the world begins and ends with a degree. Good character has nothing to do with a degree, it's just something that you have or you don't. Guys need to be confident and secure in themselves though, and not scamper for 'safety' every time they see an educated girl.
