Lol, I just posted it to get opinions and to break up my day to day monotony. It's not easy to spend each and every day reading without doing anything fun.

It's a lie. I graduated from OAU. As a Public Administration student, we did a lot of courses from faculty of law. Most of us had B. There's nothing really hard in law.

You say it's easy cause you had a B but if it were really easy then you would have an A.

Don't underrate the Faculty of Law.

It means I haven't experienced LAW in other universities so I can't speak for the difficulty of their courses over there.

U have to double your study time..make library friends..and stock in food as energy gets drained when one studies...and it is something you really need doing a lot!!

Funny enough, I actually hate studying in the library as it allows me little flexibility. The quiet room in my friend's place is more than enough for me.

Those other tips are great though.

Yeah, that was my first thought when I saw the result sef. It's decent but not at the level where I need it to be especially now in 100level that I'm supposed to be building my CGPA.

But our 2nd semester result will soon be out sha and I'm hoping for a 5.0 or something close to that.

100 level is child's play, just keep getting better and you won't have a problem.

I started with 4.50, finish with 4.75. LASU/FSS/ECONOMICS

If yes then it's an easy course as there is no real test to true understanding of what you know compared to most sciences where examples are given and the test of knowledge is the use of example given to solve problems

This is not true sir. Cramming has its benefits but I can assure you that no amount of cramming can get one consistent results like this one. The only way to achieve it is to read consistently throughout the semester like I did.

Courses like law, Medicine and Engineering is where cramming goes to die.

Basically, we used our first and second semester to learn sources of law and legal language. When we enter 200lvl we'll focus on Law courses and the compulsory GNS instead of all these English courses.

And I'll be in 200level very soon.

They don't know Status represent the nature of the course in question: It's either an elective (E) or a compulsory (C). They keep conflicting them with grade symbols. ☹️

A glance at the Credit Point (CP), it should've given you insight of the result, but no, they'll rather go with their pessimism & type sh!ts that comes to their mind first.

The E means elective. Which C means for compulsory. The grading system in our university is based on numbers.

5-A
4-B
3-C
2-D
1-E
0-F or carryover.

Yes that's because brain boxed people go for more challenging courses. Law is just a theoritcal course with some big big grammatical terms and how to apply them, nothing challenging.

I'm sorry ma'am but this couldn't be further from the truth. We all have our opinions but there's a fine line between a bad opinion and clear misinformation. Let's not spread misinformation on the internet.

This thread is to document all my results form 100 to 500lvl so I can track my progress and see if I'm doing better or worse.

Semester GPA: 4.40
Current CGPA: 4.40

I'm currently in my 100 level 2nd semester and 2nd semester results aren't out yet but I think my GPA is still alright( I technically don't have a CGPA yet). The result above is only for my first semester.

I think it's ok for my first semester but I'm hoping to break into a 4.5 real soon.

My course of study is Law.

A great intiative by our brilliant VC. It increases the university's IGR while providing healthy food for the students to eat.
