Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has wished the Super Eagles “the very best” following their 2-1 win over Angola in a quarter-final match played on Sunday at the ongoing Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in Morocco.

Buhari’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is expecting millions of Nigerians to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next few months from all parts of the country.

The President, Dangote Industries, Aliko Dangote, has announced the donation of a N1.2bn structure for the running of the business school of the Bayero University, Kano.

The building, which will be handed over to the university management next month, according to a statement on Sunday, is a state-of-the-art edifice and will mark the commencement of the business school in the institution and the first in the northern part of the country.

The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) says female students will no longer be allowed to wear heavy makeup or hair extensions.

In a memo dated January 22, 2018, UNILORIN declared that anyone who fails to adhere to these instructions will be sanctioned according to the school’s rules and regulations.

The school said male students must not weave their hair or sag their trousers.

Twenty-three final-year students of University of Debrecen’s Medical School, Hungary, sponsored by the Rivers State government, have urged Governor Nyesom Wike to release funds, to enable them complete their studies.

They made the plea yesterday in an online statement, saying they were awarded scholarship in 2012 to study medicine by the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), when Rotimi Amaechi, now Transportation minister, was governor.

His corpse was discovered on Monday, the Police Command in Taraba said.

Contrary to speculations that the 25,000 teachers to be recruited in Kaduna State will be given contract based appointments, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has said the teachers’ appointment will be permanent.

Manchester United’s manager, Jose Mourinho, has given indications that the Red Devil will do all in its power to extend David de Gea’s contract.

De Gea’s contract with United will expire in June of 2019, and United have the option to extend it for a further year.
