The President, Dangote Industries, Aliko Dangote, has announced the donation of a N1.2bn structure for the running of the business school of the Bayero University, Kano. The building, which will be handed over to the university management next month, according to a statement on Sunday, is a state-of-the-art edifice and will mark the commencement of the business school in the institution and the first in the northern part of the country. The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) says female students will no longer be allowed to wear heavy makeup or hair extensions. In a memo dated January 22, 2018, UNILORIN declared that anyone who fails to adhere to these instructions will be sanctioned according to the school’s rules and regulations. Twenty-three final-year students of University of Debrecen’s Medical School, Hungary, sponsored by the Rivers State government, have urged Governor Nyesom Wike to release funds, to enable them complete their studies. Doctors have warned against clamping the nose and mouth shut to stifle a sneeze, saying it can cause serious physical damage.
