I have been enjoying myself on this thread with meaningful comments of sensible Nigerians until i saw your comment. I am a born Again Christian, but I WONT VOTE for JONATHAN. It's high time we Christians stopped this religious nonsense. It was the same religious sentiment Jonathan and the PDP used in 2011 to deceive some gullible Nigerians. I didn't vote Jonathan in 2011, and i won't vote for him in 2015.

If you are sensitive you will see that Nigerians are saying YES to Buhari despite the propaganda of PDP. It is becoming clear that the election would [b]not [/b]be easy for Jonathan.

Once again I am a Christian and I will vote for BUHARI!

NOTE: Even my Pastor cannot convince me not to vote for Buhari. Forget this Christian candidate nonsense and vote for CHANGE...VOTE BUHARI and watch the country make progress.

At this point in Nigeria's struggle for survival, what we need is competent leaders while turning blind eyes to religion.

A few months to the 2011 elections Benue was a full PDP state without any viable opposition. But then something happened that changed that. The former governor and now senate minority leader, Senator George Akume decamped to ACN 2 days to the PDP primaries after sensing that the present governor whom he brought into office was going to frustrate his plans to get to the senate.

The entry of Akume into the ACN changed the political landscape in Benue. Before we knew what was happening the broom revolution started sweeping through Benue...this was made possible because Akume is loved by the people. The party was accepted and on elections day the PDP got the beating they deserved.

A 4 month old party won many state assemby seats, house of reps seats and a senatorial seat (Benue Zone B).
ACN won the governorship but thanks to the PDP and BSIEC, the PDP was announced as winner, and our courts didn't help matters with their "180 days technicality".

The present PDP government in Benue is a huge failure with civil servants being owed 4 months salary; teachers were on strike for over 6 months this year. The people are just waiting for 2015 to come.

We will repeat what we did in 2011 but this time with more aggression.

We are waiting for 2015 in Benue!!! We will do with APC in 2015 what we did with ACN in 2011. This present PDP government in the state is a TOTAL failure.

You can not compare his administration with that of OBJ, during OBJ sitting governor was kidnapped, election was rigged infact there was nothing like opposition party between 1999 and 2016. OBJ would have not tolerated this madness called APC if he still in charge

I think we should address the message and not the messenger. If we want to be true to ourselves, Jonathan failed Nigerians. He could have done a lot but he did so little. That to me is "below average".

PS. Obasanjo was president while Lagos state was in opposition. But the issue of opposition is not the measurement for performance.

The issue is not whether OBJ is better than GEJ. You are being technical here. Obasanjo's performance is not the standard for measuring Jonathan's or any other president's performance. GEJ's performance is measured based on "what he has done so far against what he could have done. It is a plot of Potential performance (considering the resources at his disposal) against current performance. If we want to be true to ourselves, based on this measurement scale, then we will agree that Jonathan's performance is abysmal.
