googlepikin:Wake up! Ambode is the next governor of Lagos State, and come April 11th 2015 he will be voted in. Thats it!!! |
Jega |
ejiro2130:I am working on a full article on Akume. just watch out!!! And maybe a book would follow later in the year titled "The Man Akume" |
Amaechi is an inspiration. I now know what it means to believe in something and follow it through till the end. What a determination! |
Few hours to the PDP governorship primaries in Benue State, the current senator representing Benue North East, Senator Barnabas Gemade moved to the APC under the influence of Akume because it was obvious the state governor was going to influence the election in his own favour (the governor vowed to get to the senate). Senator Gemade was immediately handed the APC senatorial ticket for that zone (Benue North East) as against the main guy then, Andrew Ayabam. That decision from Akume caused a lot of ripples in APC. I remember having a political chat with a friend where he told me that was the beginning of the collapse of the APC. When the general elections finally came, nobody gave Gemade a chance because of the desperation and resources of the governor. This fact was proven when on the day of election, Suswam boys took over. But thank God for giving us a man such as Akume in Benue State. It was said that in the course of the elections on March 28th, Senator Akume left his own zone, Benue North West and entered Gemade's senatorial zone because he(Gemade) couldn't stand Suswan. At the end of the day, Senator Akume proved that he is the father of Benue Politics by not only winning his own senatorial seat, but also ensuring Gemade won on the platform of APC. Most significantly, Senator George Akume made history by delivering Benue State to President Buhari; this is the first time the PDP has ever lost Benue in a presidential election. That was made possible mainly by the influence of Akume who was able to rally support from the Tiv speaking areas of Zone B and A. The people of Zone C, where the senate president, Senator David Mark is from, voted Jonathan. I have been shouting Sai Akume since morning because if not for him there would have been no opposition in Benue State, and the PDP would have turned the people to beggars in their own land. This is the beginning of freedom for Benue people. On April 11th the freedom will be complete when we will vote in Samuel Ortom of the APC as the next governor of Benue state. God bless Akume God bless Benue State God Bless Nigerians God bless the Federal Republic Of Nigeria. |
Wow! Now i can breath a sigh of relief. At a point i started losing hope because of the past antecedents of the PDP. Thank God for giving us a new president. |
OP. That list is not complete without the senate minority leader, Senator George Akume. |
korel9:He and his pay masters(PDP and Jonathan) thought Jega was going to reject Rivers State result. Now that Jega has accepted the result would Orubebe still call him biased? |
OREMUSSANCTUS:But Bayelsa was just released and it is nothing significant for Jonathan. |
Orubebe is not normal. In 2011 he didn't tell us Jega was biased, now in 2015 he has become biased because Buhari is winning. Nonsense!!! |
Who is that mad man there And what is the police and DSS doing there Take that mad man outside of that place. In 2011 he didn't say Jega was partial but now Jega is partial Mad PDP dog!!! |
dcaliph:Leave that guy to be asking such question. PDP is lucky that over 50% didn't vote, otherwise we would have been counting over 3 million votes for APC. |
Code213:I love this...what a party! Nice work environment. |
babs01:Honestly you stated the obvious. GMB is our president elect. |
Oklander:Hahahahahahaha. Tsunami victory. |
dapsoneh:Hahahahaha...win by landscape. Thanks for making me laugh. |
ejiro2130:That's not true...the present Governor, Suswam is NOT from Guma or the region that makes Guma. Suswam is from Logo LGA, in Zone A(Benue North East); while Guma is in Zone B(Benue North West). The current Tor Tiv is from Guma and a close friend of the Governor, so that had a part to play. |
chukwudi44:You know nothing about Benue or Tiv politics. The five LGAs talked about are from the Benue South senatorial district(the Idoma speaking area, and that's where David Mark is from so what were you expecting? We still await results from Benue North West and North East. These are the Tiv speaking areas. |
scribble:It would be a total waste of time exchanging words with you. |
fineyemi:Mr sense! |
churchmind:Exchanging words with you would be a waste of time. Your comment shows your kind of person. |
henryangelo:I didn't throw away my vote. APC won my polling unit in Makurdi. If given the chance to vote for a second time i will still vote APC. |
scribble:Your comment just confirmed you are a compound fool. Can't you make a comment without insults? |
It's obvious even to a blind man that GMB is sweeping the votes even in some so called PDP strong holds (e.g.Benue and Kogi). The phone calls i have received so far confirms the fact that APC is winning the election and would win but... I remember a statement credited to one of the PDP mafians, Senator David Mark in 2007. It was alleged that he jokingly said there are 3 ways to win an election: 1. By vote cast 2. By votes counted 3. By announcement. Many considered that a joke but it wasn't really a joke but the reality on ground. For instance, Young Alhaji of the then ANPP won David Mark by votes cast and count, but Mark was announced the winner. Young Alhaji went to court but nothing came out of that. Now we have been receiving reports of APC leading in most parts of the country; even my seniour friend Comrade Dan Onjeh of the APC is giving David Mark tough time as alleged (i refused to celebrate yet). But at the end of the day who would be announced winner ![]() It reminds me of 2011 when we fought and rejected the PDP in Benue State(esp. Governorship). After elections the people were already celebrating but in the end Suswam, the current governor was declared winner. On the night of the declaration there was massive police presence on the streets, with police APCs blocking all major parts of the capital. It was said that Suswam said he can never accept defeat via election, that it's better they end in court. Now from the look of things, the PDP is doing everything possible to win this present election by votes counted (esp. from SS and SE) and by announcement, but not necessarily by vote cast. They don't care whether the country boils or not so long as Jonathan remains president. Ask yourself what has been happening in the SS and SE since yesterday? And before TANiods would come here and call me 'Abogi' or a religious bigot, let me inform them that i am not Hausa or Fulani by tribe, and i am a born again Christian. But i voted Buhari. I seriously have a feeling that Jonathan will be declared winner. But my joy is that i have done my part by voting for Change. God help Nigeria!!! |
datguru:Greatest Chemist!!! |
Dammytrager:The OP is still referring to the Nigeria of before where MBBS was the trend. Today the prestige that comes with Medicine is no longer there. I would choose Computer Engineering over Medicine any time any day. Also, Law has lost its value too because it has been 'commonized' and 'commodised'...too many lawyers around. |
danyegbule:Sensitive? Between you and i who is insensitive? I am not Hausa for your information. Keep tribe aside and accept the truth. Ewu I will let that pass. |
Ngokafor:You won't give any reasons not because you don't have the time but because there are NO reasons to give. And you think millions don't detest Jonathan Funny! |
ngoziiwenofu1:I wrote this without the intention of insulting anyone here on Nairaland, but it's obvious that might not be possible. You know your comment is a confirmation of how retarded your mind is. |
Desteenee:Hahahahaha |
prevail23:Hahahaha. Relating failing a contry with cheating on a girl ![]() You asked a very good question and i will answer you. No! It is not only Buhari that can bring change but that is the only viable alternative at the moment. If Buhari would be the one to change the present state of things in the country then let him take the lead. |
A great man defined insanity as "doing the same thing over and expecting a different result". If we are to analyse this definition and relate it to the forth coming general elections, we would understand better what it means to be insane. Watch this! President Jonathan has been the president for about 6 years now without any meaningful 'transformation' yet somebody still wants that to continue while expecting a different result ![]() Now that is insanity!!! The outgoing president just presented his vision for another four years "if" voted in. Now i ask myself and fellow reasonable normal Nigerians one question. Should the president be talking about vision at this time No! What he should be telling us is how he intends to build on a working vision. We should be talking about vision accomplishment and not setting of visions.I know one of the Jonathanians would say while presenting the vision he made a statement that his plans is to build on the platform he has laid. Very good! But the issue is there are no platforms. The only available platforms are massive corruption, unemployment, high degree of cluelessness and visionlessness, an untamed "Shipoppotamus" as wife, a Femi Fani Kayode that talks from both sides of his mouth, a platform where "stealing is not corruption", crippling economy, inflation, dollar sharing for votes, sharing billions to touts and militants, etc. The truth is President Jonathan dissappointed Nigerians. He could have achieved a lot if he had a vision four years ago. The measurement of performance in governance is a plot of achievement against available resources. Now it is possible that President Jonathan is a good man, but in terms of performance he has failed. It is his abysmal performance that gave strength to the opposition...i tell you the truth if Jonathan had performed APC and Buhari wouldn't have gotten this level of acceptance. I have made up my mind to vote Buhari and i challenge any supporter of President Jonathan to give me just 2 reasons why i should vote Jonathan. I have had meaningful conversations with some people where i offerd the same challenge but non has been able to come up with anything. So i have decided to use my PVC to send GEJ #Back2Otuoke because i can't be planning to continue with the same thing yet expecting a different result. That would be insanity. I call on Jonathanians to convince me otherwise with sensible reasons and not with insults like FFK and Fayose. |

And what is the police and DSS doing there
.
