IbokUtoroh:I am not carrying somebody's state on my head...you say i am not from Benue with all certainty. Chairman i am from Benue and i know enough about Benue politics because i have been involved in it. Yes Ortom was in PDP but right now he is in APC just like Senator Akume. The Benue of before, even in the times of Akume as governor is not the Benue of today...Suswam succeded in taking the state 10 years back in his 8 years as governor. |
Happy birthday to the best governor in the history of Nigeria. |
Funny!!! PDP/Tarzor has no case. The only way they can have a case is if the APC legal team fails to do their job, and that is unlikely. Lets understand somethings: For those citing the case of Amaechi and Omehia in Rivers state, remember the final judgement. The court ruled that victory in a general election belongs to a political party and not the candidate. This case is similar to a case i was very involved in after the 2011 elections. The case was between Comrade Dan Onjeh of the then ACN and Hassan Saleh of the PDP. Dan Onjeh took Hassan Saleh and the PDP to court challenging the victory of Saleh who replaced the actual winner of the PDP primaries, Chris Abah popularly known as Mad lion in Benue. Dan Onjeh told the court that since Hassan Saleh was not the candidate that emerged as winner of the PDP primaries, he (Saleh) should be disqualified and Dan Onjeh having come second be declared winner of the house of Reps election. Both parties presented their arguments and counter arguments with the legal team of the PDP hammering on two points: 1. The matter is an intra-party affair that does not concern Dan Onjeh and the ACN, only a member of the PDP has the right to challenge its primaries. 2. The matter is a pre-election matter hence the Tribunal lacks the jurisdiction to hear the case. The Tribunal is to handle post election matters. At the end of the day Dan Onjeh and the ACN lost the case with Hon. Hassan Saleh maintaining his position as member representing Okpokwu/Ogbadigbo federal constituency of Benue state. Terhemen Tarzor and the PDP in Benue should go and sleep. They have no case! After the mess the former governor, Suswam put the state in, it's funny and annoying that PDP thought they could win Benue. Fact: Samuel Ortom or any APC candidate will remain the Governor of Benue state. |
torkaka:What Karms are you talking about? PDP has no case; the only way they have a case is if the APC legal team fails to do their job. And that is unlikely. |
STEVENcrack:Exchanging words with you would be a waste of time because you are a goat. |
STEVENcrack:You know i was trying very hard not to call you names but it's obvious that's not possible because you just comfirmed that you are a compound fool for calling me names. And for your comparison, that was not the angle you were looking at. You compared them based on their CV. And to you what you listed was enough CV? Nonsense!!! |
olumite2014:Please help me remind the Op. I'm beginning to think he is one secondary school student. How can a matured young adult compare Tinubu and Saraki It's even annoying. A kid that knows nothing about politics and Nigeria is here writing trash. Who is Saraki compared to Tinubu This Op should not make me angry oo. |
STEVENcrack:Seriously i don't get you. How did he win Lawan? Was he able to get majority support from the APC senators? That's when you know who has more control. It is not by aligning with the PDP. Your comparison is just too flat and makes no sense. |
swimcash:And you also commented. So are you jobless too? lol |
redsconsult:Lol at Jonathan dreaming of Tinubu chasing him. The Op is just a fan of Saraki and his love for the man has blinded him. How can a normal person compare Tinubu and Saraki ![]() |
manutdrichie:Lies. Lies. Lies |
iceland1:You are quick to call someone mumu yet what you wrote is wrong. The selection of Majority leader and deputy as well as that of chief whip and deputy is the prerogative of the majority party, in this case the APC. It is not open to contest or election like that of senate presidency and speakership positions. PDP has no say in this matter, the only factors here are Saraki and Dogara, because it is the responsibility of the Senate president and speaker to announce to the senate and house the names of these selected principal officers. Pls don't be too quick to insult when you don't really have an idea about how certain things work. Cheers... |
SUBMARINE:You are not just a dullard but a compound fool if you think you are smart yet a dullard is your president. You call someone a dullard when your entire generation might never achieve half of what he has achieved. |
manny4life:I'll tell you! The ECA was shared at the instance of the governors but ask yourself what prompted that decision. The FG was making withdrawals from the said account without due consultation with the governors who are part owners of the money. It is the case of having a joint savings account with a friend who makes withdrawals without your consent and approval. Won't you close that account Now i am not supporting the decision of the governors. Both the FG and governors are to be blamed. You are talking about President Buhari probing Jonathan's government, but if he starts now the same people will come here to shout. |
manny4life:Yes the ECA was shared at the instance of the governors but what was their reason The FG was making deductions from the ECA without due consultation with the governors who are part owners of the said ECA. This is an issue Okonjo hasn't been able to deny. Was the FG making withdrawals from the account or not? Both the FG and governors have faults. You are talking about Buhari probing GEJ's government but if he starts now the same people will come here to make noise. The fact remains that Jonathan's government was a wasteful and corrupt government. |
mrborntodoit:Mr. Smart guy, GEJ didn't inherit an "almost empty" treasury; rather he inherited a full treasury alongside billions in excess crude account. And not forgetting the high price of oil at that time. Keep sentiments aside and face the fact...Nigeria made lots of money during Jonathan's time but lost it to massive corruption, waste and stealing by the same Jonathan's government. Also, it's funny when i see childish NLers calling the president a dullard. One question i ask is you are so smart yet a dullard is rulling you? So who is the dullard ![]() |
bodeloja:Did GEJ inherit an empty treasury No he didn't. Rather he inherited billions in excess crude account as addition to billions in the treasury. He also had the advantage of high crude oil price.GEJ didn't complain about the dilapidated infrastructure because the country had cash. He had the resources to fix them. |
This is the best post i have read this month. Very sensible post from a sensible individual. It's like some Igbos on Nairaland agitating for that don't know how integrated the Igbos are. What would happen to the business interests of Igbos across the country? What would you tell my friend who just got a pretty Igbo girl he wants to get married to? |
ShineuEye:Funny! Obasanjo that couldn't annoint himself leader of the Yorubas would annoint Saraki ![]() Tinubu is not in any trouble! Is Saraki even Yoruba? He is more Fulani than Yoruba. |
lawanson44:If you call my president and vice daft and Ben Bruce smart for this "unintelligent" suggestion, then it shows who is actually daft. So you think giving N500, 000 to a young man or girl that has no single plan or business idea is a good idea? Majority of graduates that go for NYSC see it as a place to have what i call "useless" fun with only a few having plans to start their own business. After wasting their time chasing after guys and girls, they get back to their senses few days to POP. That's when most of them start asking the question "what next"? It would be a bad idea to give all outgoing corpers that amount. What i would rather suggest is for the new APC led government to continue the YouWin programme started by GEJ but with some changes. Let a segment of YouWin be targeted at Youth corp members so the suggested 500,000 and even more could be given to outgoing corpers with viable business ideas. |
barcanista:APC is not the issue here but the media houses that just cook up stories. Some media houses just want to publish something whether true or false. |
Macelliot:It is not IGR that determines Federal allocation. |
Macelliot:The post is talking about Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) and not Federal allocation. IGR is money a state generates by itself...money made within. |
Boss13:Keep lying to yourself. |
henryuzor:The matter concern me because him make general statement accusing all men of cheating and that na lie so i no dey take panadol for him headache but for my own headache. |
If this guy actually said this then he is actually not normal. If he doesn't know there are Nigerian men that don't cheat. Instead of him to be ashamed of his actions he is here talking trash. |
VIPERVENOM:And both threads made FP today yet only this "Igbotic" thread has lots of childish noise makers. Igbos are not superior to the Yorubas neither are Yorubas superior to Igbos. |
aLgoridim:Hahahahaha. I never really thought about that. You know i don't even remember Seun as Yoruba but see him as an intelligent Nigerian Techpreneur. All these childish acts of the so called "Nigerian Isrealiets". Just like one poster noted, i think it is inferiority complex. Why else would someone be so concerned about proving that he is better than another? |
lifeisshort1:You are very right. But i don't know if it is common with the Igbo race or just the myopic Igbos on Nairaland. Very funny set of people!!! |
A7:This is the most sensible comment i have read here. One lousy writer just wrote nonsense because of his hatred for Tinubu and people are aligning with it. Wait! Just as you noted, why is the writer running away from the fact that there were Fulani senators among the 51 APC senators that were absent. Also he has failed to tell us whether Dogara is fulani or not. Another point he failed to note is the fact majority of the PDP senators that suppported Saraki are from the SE and SS. Or are Igbos and co now Fulani Is David Mark also Fulani![]() Dino Melaye is one of the brains behind the Saraki project...is he also Fulani ![]() This writer should just go and sleep! His article is just too flat and does not hold water. |
codedguy1:And David Mark is not someone to play with. He is actually good at what he does - Scheming. |
That is like giving bone to a dog to keep for you. When we voted against Jonathan people thought it was just based on sentiments. Imagine this nonsense! |
. . . . . . . . . . .sad
It's even annoying. A kid that knows nothing about politics and Nigeria is here writing trash. Who is Saraki compared to Tinubu
