This two days without access to FTA is a wake-up call to find a way to stay in touch in case the repeats itself another day. This is what Infofirst is aiming to tackle at the moment.

Dear Nairalanders and Advertisers.

Nairaland's server was taken down by our host's abuse team because of an abuse report that wasn't attended to on time.

After rectifying the error, we brought the server back for a few minutes, but they decided to take the server down again. Since then, we haven't heard from the abuse team, yet the support team keeps insisting that only the abuse team can help us.

So we had to transfer Nairaland to a temporary host in order to bring it back to you. A VERY time-consuming process. We are not fully back, even though most features of the site are working. We still have a long way to go. Additional downtime is likely; don't let it alarm you.

There's a lot more to say, but I have to go back to work to ensure that our return is permanent. Please forgive us for the stress we caused. We appreciate the love and support that you showed us during the ordeal. Nairaland is too important for us to let this happen again.

Lol. I think everyone is okay. Even Zedegit. He deserves a mention - sentiments apart. If Meshpips was here I would also mention his name whatever transpired in the past. He has also been genuinely helpful.

My earlier vote remains my vote whoever hosts the voting process. That doesn't mean others don't measure up to the standard. In the end, the final decision may not please everyone but let's abide by it as long as the votes are transparent.

It is really difficult to decide who should be voted for when we consider who is more deserving. Peteregwu, Dmahn, Donsheddy, Kozmicity, Infofirst, GabsonFX2, Geovanni412, Davigle, Samfelly, etc, etc. Who? They are all favourites on the basis of merit, they all deserve to be crowned but only one must be chosen. This is why the selection should go to the person with greater votes, not just about merit.

Zed, calm down. I don't think participating in the competition disqualifies a person from being elected as the one who opens the next year's thread. In fact, everyone would be in the same position if they had the opportunity to participate in the competition and, if they wished, double as FTA's INEC.

I feel like to share my little progress today, to whom much is given much is expected. I appreciate each and every one us who one way or the other has contributed massively to the progression of the thread. I bumped into this wonderful community January this yr , due to tedious nature of my work (Waiter ) I hardly participate to chip my inputs but I do well to read every page whenever I have free time at my work place. I got to know about trading competitions here which I have participated and failed many times ,but things turned around 3rd quarter of this year when I hit 40% on tft competition, I received the challenge account and passed the evaluation stages and got a payout laskweek. My current job pays me 30k as monthly salary, but I got a payout of $601k . It leaves me sober and emotional ,after 2yrs of working as a waiter I can't boast of 100k in my account but 10days of trading got me 700k. Lest I forget I got a mail this morning from alphacapital that my live funded account will be ready this week after passing the giveaway account. Glory be to God. Thanks all the bosses in the house, still remain BeginnerTrade.✌️
