What about the rampant case's of mental illness in Nigeria? I remember vividly how some young folks ran mad after consistent use back then. A particular incident was a guy who smoked weed only once and ran mad, it took months of rehabilitation to get him back up to speed.

From observations, a lot of people are already screwed mentally especially the women, the behaviour they exhibit bodly can be attributed to weed. Then you have people who seek higher highs leading them to try out new drug's. A catastrophe in the making, with no healthcare support.

I'm not comparing, neither do I indulge in such, but the fact of the matter is, alcohol is only 25% more risky than marijuana based on short term effects, like getting drunk and crashing your car etc.

However the long term effects of weed can be damning. Your mind, perception etc becomes warped over time and you won't even know it .
