CelebritiesDenrele Opens Up On His Relationship With Linda Ikeji by nghubs1(op): 6:08pm On Jan 08, 2018
Popular OAP Denrele Edun has opened up on his relationship with popular blogger Linda Ikeji.

Denrele shared a throwback pics of him and Linda Ikeji highlighting how she(Linda Ikeji) assisted him while they were in school especially when he is broke.

He said Linda Ikeji is one of the most outstanding personalities that have affected him in life

He wrote:

“#FlashbackFriday to 2nd Semester Exams with @officiallindaikeji in Unilag where we had just cremated an English Major course. This was in 2002. But the real reason I’m posting this picture (Linda actually wanted it in Sepia mode even though I wanted it in colour) is to hail my Day1! LINDA IKEJI is still one of the most exquisitely amazing women I have had the utmost blessing of knowing!

Just after class and exams, Linda wil grab my Higher Education note and slip money in the middle; She always knew when I was stuck (which was everyday, anyways) and if I couldn’t afford Campus shuttle from Education Dept to Main Campus, she will walk the entire length with me…In neck breaking stilettos! Before we took this picture, someone made a joke about my fake TShirt right in front of the Arts Faculty. Saying i was always wearing fake sh*t and stuff…And I should get a life. Linda looked the person up and down, flipped her long braids over her shoulder and told me to be grateful for the gift of LIFE! Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles. Notice them.”

PoliticsBen Bruce And El-Rufai Trade Words On Twitter Over Abuja-Kaduna Railway by nghubs1(op): 12:56pm On Jan 06, 2018
The Kaduna State governor Nasir El Rufai and Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency Senator Ben Murray Bruce have traded words on Twitter over the newly commissioned rail project by President Buhari in Kaduna.

According to NGHUBS, the rift started after Ben Bruce said he hopes President Buhari will credit former president Goodluck Jonathan for the newly commissioned project.

Ben Bruce said

“I hope President @MBuhari remembers to say thank you to former President @GEJonathan for the train ride he enjoyed in Kaduna. Some of us haven’t forgotten that that achievement was ENTIRELY the handiwork of the Jonathan government. Nigeria should give honour to whom honour is due”

El Rufai replying Ben Bruce said Ben Bruce was wrong saying it was Obasanjo who initiated the idea but the project was stalled by the Yar’ Adua’s administration for two years.

He said when Obasanjo was busy designing modern rail projects Ben Bruce was busy organizing Beauty peagents.

“Wrong Distinuguisnhed Senator! The Obasanjo administration which Jonathan was not part of, designed, raised the financing and started the EPC of the Lagos-Kano dual track-standard gauge rail system, and the Abuja Light Rail. Yar’Adua-Jonathan stalled both projects for two years!”

"There is nothing to debate. Facts cannot be debated. Opinions are free. While the Obasanjo administration was conceiving the rail modernization programme, Sen Ben-Bruce was organizing beauty contests and Jonathan was a deputy governor. I am not cluelessly common-sensical!"

Ben Bruce reacting told El Rufai that his dislike for the late president has clouded his judgement.

Ben Bruce said

“Your dislike of the late Yar’adua may have clouded your judgment. I made no mention of the ‘Abuja light railway’. My tweet referred to the Abuja-Kaduna railway which IS a product of the Jonathan administration. I am happy to publicly debate this with you.”

PoliticsEnugu State Government Holds New Year Prayer Session by nghubs1(op): 5:24pm On Jan 03, 2018
The Enugu State government led by governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on Tuesday held a new year prayer session to formerly commence work.

According to NGHUBS, those in attendance were Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi; Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Ngozi Emehelu; Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province (Anglican Communion), His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma; Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Godwin Madu; Chaplain, Government House, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Chinedu Ozoude; other clergy and top government functionaries; staff of the Government House, and many others.

Gov. Ugwuanyi in his prayer message expressed gratitude to “the Almighty God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob and awesome God of David, for the blessings and favours He bestowed on us last year and for the Grace we hope to receive this New Year”.

The governor thanked Archbishop Chukwuma, the officiating Priests and all the participants for their presence at the prayer session and also appreciated the stakeholders of the state, the civil servants, the organized Labour, the clergy, market men and women and indeed the entire people of Enugu State-the true heroes of democracy- for the prayers, support, solidarity and cooperation that they have continued to accord his administration

He said that “the New Year offers us another chance to sustain the tempo of peace and good governance in the state and to rededicate ourselves to the building of a secure and viable society for the benefit of all and sundry”

“We want to assure you all that all that we were able to accomplish last year, represents the minimum that we can give to our people as we are poised to do even much more this year

“A few days ago, I presented the 2018 Budget estimates tagged,“Budget of Sustainable Economic Growth” with which we intend to consolidate the foundation that we have already laid in creating an enabling environment for the full development of our human and natural resources, revitalization of our social services as well as building vital infrastructure for sustainable and inclusive development.

“I pledge that by the Grace of God, we will ensure the full implementation of the budget as passed by the State House of Assembly, for the benefit of our people”, the governor said.

Gov. Ugwuanyi therefore called on the people of the state to remain unrelenting in their prayers and to continue to work towards the peace and progress of Enugu State.

“Enugu State is truly in the hands of God and I assure you that with Him as our guide and all of us working together, Enugu State shall continue to prosper”, the governor prayed while wishing everyone a very Happy and blissful 2018, adding: “It shall be well with us and it shall be well with Enugu State in Jesus Name. Amen”

Earlier in his sermon, Archbishop Chukwuma applauded the governor for his people-oriented and inclusive leadership that has touched lives and earned him support and praises from leaders of opposition political parties in the state.

The Archbishop reiterated his stance on Gov. Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019, saying: “Anybody who says you’re not going for second term will fail”.

According to him, “I am happy that the APC chieftains acknowledge that you are doing well. So anybody who comes to challenge you will fail. Enugu is peaceful, no report of any upheaval, unlike other states where there were killings and pandemonium”. Enugu State is in the hands of God. I was listening to the budget proposal of Enugu State. Other states budgeted above N100 billion each, but Enugu State budget proposal is N98.5 billion. Gov. Ugwuanyi is realistic and will implement the budget”.

While thanking the governor for the passage of Child Rights Act into law, the Archbishop also commended him for the massive road projects in the rural areas to improve on the living standard of the people, especially the dwellers.

He therefore, charged the civil servants in the state to display honesty and dedication and continue to support the good works of the governor.
