I think it has more to do with the fact that some men just don't know when to call it quits. I'm pretty sure she showed signs before she left him for the other guy. As much as I understand where you're coming from, I'll have to disagree with your "stupid and unproductive" talk. Maybe one of the things that made me like him more than anyone was because my parents stopped me from watching TV anytime they played his songs, it's not like they played his songs all the time but I'm talking about 1997 right after he died.
