*baffled* I really don't know where many of these questions come from, seriously. If it makes sense to discriminate against rape victims, it would also make sense to discriminate against men who have been mugged in the past. |
I'm happy people are now equating insults with physical abuse, how classy? It is a well-known fact that women are not as (physically) strong as men, so it would be wrong for you, as a man, to hit someone who's not as strong as you, it is called being a bully. On the other hand, it is not proven that women are more insultive than men are, so there's nothing wrong when a woman insults you, you have as much power to say something back or walk out of the room. This brings me to my next point, people getting hit can't walk out, people getting insulted can choose not to listen. Now to the question, it's all context dependent, there's no blanket answer to this question. It depends on a couple of things like: what the woman said, how loud she was, what the man has done to get that response from her, and how often she "rains" insults. |
nuzo:His name is Ja rule, not Jah. Even if you want to abbreviate it, it should be Ja.

|
Twinkle Brothers - Barabas Why do the the hearthen reign and the people imagine such vain things. . . So it was in the beginning, so it shall be in the end, same people who said Hossana said crucify him, here's what they said "crucify him and give us Barabas, crucify him and give us barabas, crucify him and give us Barabas. |
Israel Vibration - Prophet has Arise Say Jah prophet has arise, he's got a dread look in his eyes . . . Moses was a seer, David was a seer, so Jah people shall never be in short of a king or a prophet. |
Culture - Two Sevens Clash Marcus Garvey was inside of Spanish township prison, and when they were about to take him out he prophesied and said "as I pass through this gate, no other prisoner shall enter or get through" and so it is until now, the gate has been locked. SAY WHAT! |
Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey Marcus Garvey words come to pass, he who knows the right and do it not, shall be spanked with many stripes, weeping and wailing and moaning, you've got yourself to blame, Hol 'em Marcus hol 'em, catch them Garvey catch them where is bag-o-wire, he's no where around, he can't be found, first betrayer who gave away Marcus Garvey, |
humblesoul:I've never met anyone like you either, the few people who I know that love being alone are those that judge others. It's not a good thing but it's really not a bad thing too. If you're happy the way you are, keep being yourself. humblesoul:No, everyone will never be the same. It's little variations like this that make the world work. But I still think you'll enjoy being around people, when you find the right people to be around. |
You already know the one you like but you want to make sure you're making the right decisions. No matter how much you type about both of them, even if you upload pictures of them, no one will ever make this choice for you. Don't overthink the issue, just go with your mind. |
If you actually don't judge people and you're really happy being alone. Then there's nothing wrong with you. But I doubt you're really happy being alone, if you did you wouldn't start this thread. No? |
I don't think you love being alone, I think you've been alone for so long and you've managed to convince yourself that you love it. At this point, it's almost like any habit/addiction, because you experience withdrawal symptoms whenever you leave the habit of being alone. We are social animals and we need others to be happy, no man is self-sufficient. Since you've gone out of your way to mention that you don't judge others, I think you actually judge others. Anyone who's this way is likely to be disgusted by people. Let me cite a case of a music enthutiast at a party with a bunch of his friend, he finds everybody dancing to Soulja Boi, in his mind, he is disgusted and thinks "what the hell is this world coming to?" In that instance, he stops having fun. Totally, not his fault. The human mind is designed that way. We want to convince ourselves we're good, so we judge others subconsciously. When your classmates ask for your test scores after an exam, many of them don't care about your scores, they are looking for a way to feed their own egos. They don't know this themselves. The solution is being able to put things in perspectives, realize that when people do things you see as stupid, they have a reason for doing it. You'll see that the black guy that mugged you isn't a bad person if you look at things from his POV. Train yourself to see the good in people. When you're able to do this, you'll appreciate people more and love being around them. |
ThiefOfHearts:I'm not mixing religion in, I'm mixing spirituality in. The human spirit and mind itself is powerful and that's why you find that many religions have miracles, the religion is not the one working, it's all in the mind. Confrontation should be the last thing on her mind for now, the husband has shown himself to be a bully. Even when a good person beats a bully, the good person will still be the one to cry and regret it many times. I'll tell you why it pays to be illogical at times, when you're illogical and think you've passed a test even when you haven't done well, you're alive until the results come. You die once. The person who panics after the test is already dead, and when the results show he has indeed failed, he dies again. He dies twice. |
ThiefOfHearts: n-guage:I know it's not logical but do you believe Jesus died and came back alive on the third day? Illogical and unrealistic doesn't mean impossible. I'll expand on this soon. |
Leilah:Off topic: Leilah, I like your son's locks, they're cute. |
sara j:I feel for you and I'm not happy with the way you treat death like a trivial thing. How about your kids? You're quite young, it's not really too late to get your life back on track but you have to take the first step and be assertive when you have to be. The first thing you have to do is train your mind to be positive, the power of the mind is strong, believe it or not, it helps to be positive. It's a very hard thing to do because the human mind is trained to panic in times of trouble but once you get it, you'll see what I mean. Interpret things in a positive way even when it seems unrealistic. For example: Negative mind interprets like this: Some Jamaican just called my husband, damn he's cheating. A positive mind interprets like this: Some Jamaican woman just called my husband but I know he loves me and would never do anything to harm me. ---- I'll type on but I'm afraid I'll end up typing out a long, unreadable rant. You'll pull through sister. I said so. |
LadyT:Grandma! |
epi: used in a sentence: "That papercut looks pretty bad, do you need a band-aid?"Doesn't look like a word for grown ass people. |
This Lamidi-obi:and this Lamidi-obi:Don't add up. Lamidi-obi:Again, how do you want someone with a doctorate degree when you seem less than intelligent yourself? Yellow coloured? Find yourself a bag of M&Ms. |
Oh, so your wife is pregnant? See this yeye man o. ![]() No seriously, you better learn to start sweeping and washing diapers. I mean she's carrying your baby, you should be eager to give her massages every night instead of complaining about roles and agreements. |
What I find wrong with this is the fact that husbands and wives have defined roles. Even more saddening is the fact that you speak of these roles using terms like "agreement reached, and breached" that suggests your wife to be a business partner. Granted I've never been married, but my common sense tells me there's something wrong when married couples have to spell out terms and deal with each other like business partners. Try seeing things from her POV, I'm pretty sure your wife didn't just wake up one morning and decide to be a rebel. Maybe the roles you "assigned" to her were more than she could handle, maybe she's not happy with you and that's her own way of getting back at you, maybe she's having problems at her job. This looks like what happens when couples don't talk. Communication is never overrated. |
epi:Oh! I see. I was apparently wrong, I thought teenagers said grown ass while grown people just say grown. |
What's the difference between a grown man and a grown ass man? |

Hey ex, Wanna hook up sometimes? Incumbent is acting up. |
edit |
Your mistake was describing yourself as plump. It's shows you're sensitive about you're plumpness. Just hang around and make friends the regular way, anyone who stops being your friend because you're not skinny isn't worth your friendship. ![]() |
