The name okwama, in the last 7 days has been on the lips of all and sundry, unfortunately, not for a good reason. The mention of the
very minuscule riverine community reverberates across the nation with terror, fear, anguish and long gloomy stare into darkness. Describing the actual incidence is nearly impossible, its like searching for ice in hell.


Let us take a cursory view at the unfortunate event that led to the abrupt extermination of 17 promising young men of the Nigerian army, mutilated in such an horrific manner.nobody deserves to die in such a gruesome manner]NOTHING ON EARTH JUSTIFIES SUCH BARBARISM[/font][left][/left]. but a salient question that begs for answer is , is it also justified for innocent civilians to be killed by the men who swore to protect them? No. for long, civilians have been at the mercy of its security personnel, its like the weapon was bought for them to extirpate innocent Nigerians at the slightest provocation ,army , navy , especially the police are culprits in this. The acrimony between the citizens and its security forces is at its zenith. it is simply a cat and dog relationship.


The disease is corruption, backwardness, injustice and greed. all other things we seeing now are merely a malodorous stench from a putrefying society, without a nippy holistic intervention, the ship is inevitably heading to the gallows. Although,Even a day old baby knows we live in an unruly and disorder society, but the unfolding event in okwama has revealed another dimension of the lawlessness that holds country by the jugular.

There are some very germane issues that are the cynosure of the ongoing conundrum

1. The Nigerian police force is failing very fast, becoming ineffectual by the day, the police cant even discharge its primary mandate anymore, mot even sure it has the capacity to quell a street riot without been ran over and seeking for intervention by the army like puppy beaten by rain. ill equipped, lack of intelligence , low moral , paucity of abled men who can deliver professionally, the police has lost all its flavour, nobody takes them serious anymore.

2. why has every Nigerian gotten used to extra judicial killings in the name of retaliation from th military.

3. why is okwama sealed off , even a sitting governor or even the cp of the state cannot gain access ? with every sense of incredulity , i cannot decipher any meaning to this

4 innocent civilians are at the receiving end currently in okwama and its neighbouring communities . no due diligence, no intelligence, nothing . just mechanical approach to resolve every conflict .

5.Till date no journalist can give any iota of report as regarding whats going on in the community. infact no any senior military officer has come out to address the public,
all of this can only happen in an uncivilised and lawless society like ours.

its crystal clear even to the blind that the current governor of Lagos state babajide sanwo olu is fighting so hard for his life like a decapitated snake, in a fierce bid to clinch a return ticket for the highest office in the state. The jamboree that shook the governor to the marrow was contingent and unconnected from the recent turbulent wave of the obedient pandemic. it jolted the Lagos governed Apc from its slumber.

The charade is becoming annoying and soul irking. but would you blame him ? no. in the wake of all of this conundrum and sleepless nights for the governor, one thing stands out, its the unusual deafening quietness from his political godfather asiwaju, whose body language screams of indifference. he hasn't uttered a single sneeze concerning the ongoing tussle of the power seat of lagos that has grabbed babajide by the jugular. He has left him to his fate, to fight the lions with his bare hands.

questions begging for answers are , has asiwaju used and dump sanwo olu who was clandestinely financially instrumental to his victory.? is tinubu no more concerned about what happens in Lagos anymore, now that he has achieved his lifelong ambition . is it because he is now president elect? he doesn't want to heat up the polity ? again, that may not be true, buhari even as a seating president came out bodly to show solidarity to his party.

Lets allay all the hoopla, cloudy mist and thick fog awning the 2023 presidential elections to rest. behold, before you glue me to the obedients, lets call a spade a spade and not a farming tool. There's indeed a sudden and unprecedented wave of cravings for a fresh leadership and a radical overhaul of our leadership status quo.

4. There is a very high tendency that the massive crowd that predated the inec centers will surely come out to vote. nobody will go through such hell only to stay back at home sleeping on that day. i was there 3am such stress wont go in vain

you need no pundit to sing it to you that The youths are undisputedly the deciders of the forth coming presidential election . ruling them out and calling them online noise makers and obituaries is a nail at your own palm and a joke at your own peril.

After work yesterday , as I walked towards my car to to start heading home .
Alas ! It was exasperating and annoying to find my broken side mirror on my bonnet , After it was completely knocked off its hook .

Life in Nigeria is being obliterated and extirpated For fun on a daily basis,in almost all part of the country.

Massive and wanthon killings off course no longer make headlines anymore. The leaders and followers have adjusted to this carnage and malady. Brethren how else can you describe the low cost of human life and it’s concomitant discounts and affordability .
The current siege and onslaught in Nigeria especially in the north, is the mirror and pragmatic reflection for how much human life has been denigrated to be cheaper than tomatoes and onions .

Another salient anecdote of a contradictory script in Nigeria is a case study of borno . Borno state located in the north east region of Nigeria is referred to as “home of peace “ as it’s state slogan. Peace ?? I am bemused . The so called home of peace is currently the ground zero and the breeding ground of terrorism in Africa and the world at large currently.

We are at the mercy of terrorists “This were the words, verbatim of the minister of information hon.lai Mohammed. Haaa ! When the government itself has capitulate to the barking of the wild monster called insecurity.

Let’s take a paranomic view on the recent attack on zabamari village in Borno.Almost 50 farmers were killed in cold blood. The methodology deployed by the terrorists is one that craves for a National wake up call , and an emissary to us all that we live in perilous times as a Nigerian.

About 50 adults were lined up and decapitated (beheaded ) on Saturday in borno . I am not a security expert,but common sense tells me that this operation will last over an hour. In a war zone area ? With no intervention from the armed forces ? Then My premise ,that the nation is sitting on a gun powder,and it is oblivious to us all is outrightly undisputable
Just like a tinder box , Insecurity has gradually morphed into a midnight monster,and it has taken a very deep and hard root across the nation. Kidnapping , banditry , hoodlums , assassinations, Terrorism , Boko haram ,extrajudicial killings, gun men are the adequate adjectives that best chronicles the state of the nation in the retrospect of security .

The potent barometer to measure good governance is how safe its country is. Safety and adequate Security is a forbidden choice of word that you can describe Nigeria with.

Where do we go from here , who will extricate and emancipate the nation from this shackles and tooth of impending loom of laminar blood flow and harvest of tears of innocent people everyday as the sun set and rise .

A government that fails to take responsibility ? Who looks for every possible ways to abdicate responsibility and Circumvent a way round a situation that calls for them to take the bull by the horn.A government that has lost its stratagem on what to do,and how to oust the killers and terror makers is not a government you should look up to .

PDP takes joy to blame APC, APC is also waiting to point a finger at PDP at every slight opportunity at the expense of human lives.Instead of viscerally rejigging and holistically overhauling the architecture of Securiy Systems in the country . The crystal clear ineptitude of the government and its lackluster will to totally uproot impunity is worrisome.

At this point , we can only look up to God for help and safety . The people we voted for,has marginally failed to protect lives and properties . They have left the citenzry to fend for themselves . How shamefully the populace now joke about about saving up money for ransoms Incase they get kidnapped .
How else can explain to a dummy what a failed nation looks like.

Well as usual the president is still yet to address it’s people on the recent massacre. Well I am not surprised . That’s his epithet.
