CultureEKET DAY FESTIVAL: See Beautiful Masquerades On Display by Nigerdeltaent(op): 12:26pm On Dec 16, 2018
Few days ago (14th day of December), 'Eket Day Festival' an event that has been dreamt of and anticipated by the good people of Eket L.g.a also known as "idung mfia anwe" (white mans land) happened.

The name (Idung Mfianwe) came about as a result of the presence of white men working at Exxon mobil, an oil company then in Eket but now in the present Ibeno LGA.

The event is set aside to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Ekid nation and it's put together by a Socio-Cultural group known as Afiwaad Ekid.

Ekid Day Festival is always a beauty to behold as different masquarades from the Eket Senatorial District assemble at the venue for their unique and beautiful display.

The most scary of the masquerades happens to be 'Ekong Esid Urua' which notwithstanding has the largest followers.

The 'Ekpe Masquerades' is rated as one of the most beautiful(colourful) masquarade always on display.

Let me not talk much, but rather let the pictures do the talking... Enjoy.

PoliticsShow Of Shame As Akpabio's Wife Attempts Breaking Protocol In Receiving Aisha Bu by Nigerdeltaent(op): 8:55pm On Dec 14, 2018
There was mild drama earlier today at the Victor Attah Int’l Airport in Akwa Ibom( Read Earlier Post Here) as the former First lady of the state and the wife of the current Senator represent Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio Attempted to break state protocols by trying to welcome the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, instead of the State First Lady as protocol demands.

I have never heard that Obonganwan Imo Isemin ever went to fight Nneyin Allison Attah for self relevance at a public function.

Throughout Chief Akpabio's reign, never a time did Nneyin Attah go to any state function to drag position with the wife of the sitting governor.

What could possibly have caused Mrs Akpabio, a woman I hold in high esteem to go into such an unnecessary combat with the security details and protocol officers of government at such a public place? What value does it add to her? How will our young people who call her mummy, rate her after such an embarrassing show of shame?

For those not privileged with the event, the wife of the President of Nigeria came to Akwa Ibom State and the wife of the senator representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Mrs Unoma Godswill Akpabio went with the wife of Managing Director of the NDDC, Mrs Ese Ekere to alter the protocol arrangement.

Senator Akpabio himself is at the back of the scene shouting at the security agents who pushed his wife to go and wait at the apron of the airport, while the Governor's wife received the wife of the President.

It is really not a pleasant way for our leaders to show such poor attitudes in public. Actions such as this, negates the peace agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel, and instigate respective supporters into needless clashes.

I am against those who would use this singular action to start labeling Igbo women, as trouble shooters. This is hasty generalization, and should not be flavoured. No Igbo chief or leader asked Mrs Akpabio to carry out her action, and I am sure none of them is proud of her for it.

I feel so sad that this is the Warsaw episode also replicated by our former first lady. I am happy that our State First Lady maintained her calm and allowed peace to reign, in the face of extreme provocation.

Election is not war,
Peace is what we need!

CrimeRe: Private University In Akwa Ibom Attacked By Ex-militants/militia Men (video) by Nigerdeltaent(op): 8:44pm On Jun 06, 2018
TSOM:
The OP should have his knuckles cracked with a hammer for posting lies.

Etim Ekpo L.G.A is not a neighbouring town to Port Harcourt. It borders Azumire in Abia State which is about 45 minutes drive to Aba and about 90 minutes drive to Port Harcourt.

Etim Ekpo isn't even close to the Atlantic Ocean and not an oil-producing community too.

Its people have always been involved in inter-communal clashes with other communities, especially in the neighbouring Abia State.

This has nothing to do with MEND or Niger-Delta Avengers and there's been no battle in Obong University except the usual cult/gang violence in tertiary institutions which is rare.

Stop spreading lies to get blog traffic!
Mr Man, hen ou really don know much about these boys. i am a lecturer in Obong University n Sure Foundation Poly, so i can say that i have a good knowledge of both towns.

Yes you're right with your border town things, but i tell you man, these guys are Ex-Militants, even the Military is finding it very tough to overcome them.

so i know them. just rest with your other assumption.

Reports reaching Niger Delta reporters has it that a private University in Akwa Ibom by name, Obong University in Obong Ntak Ntak, Etim Ekpo Local Government Area was attacked last night by Ex-Militants of the defunct MEND turned Militia Men/Cultist resident in Port Harcourt’s neighboring town of Etim Ekpo and Ukanafun.

It’s on the record that these two neighboring towns have been a hot zone in the past one year.

We in Niger Delta Entertainment call on the Federal Government to intervene in this critical security issue as people’s investments ha runs into billions of Naira is destroyed on a daily basis.

Christianity EtcRe: Children's Day: Are Children Always Blessing From God? by Nigerdeltaent(m): 10:44am On May 27, 2018
1Cor. 7:14

For the Christian wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the Christian husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.

it simply means that if none of the parents are righteous, it's obvious the seed from them is not a blessing from God.
