My bro,i think thats worse,i haven't been into one but at least i have been studying dem guys,when you really want to get them,just pretend that you ain't from Nigeria and you will hear dem talking to their friends,deceiving themselves,thinking u can't understand what they are saying.

I will not like to generalize, but i can tell alot are after "cash". Im a naija,who is proud of naija girls, however i dont see myself geting married to one. A few yrs ago, as a student living in shared house, wrking my ass up to pay ma fees,with three jobs. All the naija girls i approached turned me dwn except an older one that used me for sex! I didnt have much cash to blow, but I just wanted some1 from my roots to love, & som1 to build my life around. But som said to my face (AM AFRTER A GUY WITH MONEY) "i no come count streetlight" . Striaghtout without any diplomacy.

Things are alot better now, and am currently with a white girl. But when i see a black couple, i get jealous and wish my partner were a naija girl.
Even though i wish to have children with full african roots, i still live in constant distrust of naija girls.

this is such a myth. there are lots of girls who are mellowed out, act normal, and just want a guy to love. people should stop this "the power of a woman is too much outside nigeria," and "she will kick u out of your house" nonsense. Gosh are u that insecure just treat her with respect and as long as neither one of you is crazy you should be fine.

Interesting, both men and women in London are victims of circumstances. As a Naija chic living and working in London, what the poster describes is the norm unfortunately. Just as he finds it difficult to find a wifey to take home to mama, the chics too find it difficult to find a good man to take home to mama! (and i know trust me)
But i think by broadening one's horizons, you will definately meet people who are on the same wavelength as you are and hopefully find the one you desire. Bottom line, we as human beings are selfish and will always want the best for ourselves! so i guess the current situation is borne out of that!

@Sin, I am just curious seeing this thread started in 2005 and this "issue" remains till 2008, almost 2009?? That is almost unbelievable, maybe even scary! I am sure there are lots of Nigerians in London and I have even read some of their posts here.

Well, I was kinda thinking. . . if that is the case for London, what about people who live in Edmonton, Canada? Here, I have found the Nigerian population to be relatively small, except maybe Toronto? But, well a lot of job opportunities and are in Alberta, so it doesn't make sense seeing people from other provinces move here.
