@Babapupa and others What I will expect you to say next is this: Okay! as a Nigerian, I can’t sleep or eat because of what I have read is the condition of Zik’s grave, the man that got my nation independent without firing a gun, our first president, the man named after the biggest and most modern airport after him. I am marching down to Onitsha first things tomorrow as a Nigerian zealot patriot, to cleaned up the graveside of my first president, first governor general Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, whom all his children has Yoruba middle names as a sign of his true Nigernianess. If you can’t do that, please spare us your crocodile tears, spares of your selective sense of history, spare us you hypocritical crying more than the bereaved. You don’t give a second in the world for Zik you now it, as your hypocritical tears can be seen even by a child. You don’t fool anyone. Zik is the first president, governor general of Nigeria and you are a Nigerian as you kept telling. Why have you now make tribalism on who should look after his grave of your former president? Zik was not the president of Igboland or Biafraland. That is why Abuja airport was named after him. Sense of history? Where was your sense of history when recently, soeone vandalized the statues Awolowo? http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/hakeem-babalola/awos-statue-between-lam-ladoja-and-akala.html |

Re: Zik's Final Resting Place In Ruins by Eziachi: 3:46am On Aug 03, 2010 |
ezeagu: It is the way Nigeria operates, grand standing promise, very little in fulfilment, I still remember the day they promised to build Zik a mausoleum before the ears of the whole world, including the queen representative to his funeral and then 14 years later, the whole place is overtaken by rodents and reptiles. Just like the river Niger, two grandstanding contract award ceremonies, fulfilment zero. My first post over this issue is that those that believe in after life should think twice as a dead person knows nothing. How we wish that the dead can hear and see things. For Dr Azikiwe to see what the monster he engineered, created has become and how they had treated him, so that he can talk sense to those still living. Azikiwe stood and even lived for one Nigeria until the day he had his last breath and those one Nigeria crusaders that are now shedding crocodile tears, telling us how we had neglected their former president. Zik was the president of Nigeria, so his all related issues should be treated as such. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/hakeem-babalola/awos-statue-between-lam-ladoja-and-akala.html The above like is the appreciation and sensitive to for history at show. Remove the rafter from your own eyes first before finding a leaf on someone else. |

Eziachi: If the man was all in all as your post stated, why is he resting in such garbage? Stop blaming other people for everything, the federal government honored the man already, the best airport in the country/Abuja Airport is called Nnamdi Aikiwe. Other folks didn't sit on their hands waiting for the federal government to do s/hi/t for them. Only Igbo people, it's never their fault, it's never their responsibility, it's always other people outside their region. Y'all are some mean fisted, cheap a/s/s and don't give a f/u/c/k group of people. |

Re: Zik's Final Resting Place In Ruins by Eziachi: 7:31pm On Aug 03, 2010 |
babapupa: I hope you are joking, stating that Igbo’s are always waiting for govt to do something for them? Because that must be the joke of the century. Tell me one thing in your town, local govt, state that was not provided through all tiers of government one-way or the other? I can close my eyes and name a few for you. Even you can recall that we built Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri from the scratch without the input of either local, state or federal. Even on a personal level, the last thing my father did for our community even in his late 80s before his death in 1992 was buy two KVA transformers and handing them over to NEPA, so that the community’s erratic power supply can be restored again after 6 good months without power because the former NEPA transformers were blown and NEPA said they don’t have the fund to replace it. And you can ask any Igbo person, as this experience is not an isolated one, it is very common, where the community or a wealthy son or benefactor provides what is the responsibility of Nigerian govt ad their agencies. The problem is that the Nigeria some of you grew up to know is different from ours. |
