Go back to the seller and get another one that can work on your mini laptop. Make sure you go with the mini.

abbeyberry: Pls help , I recently bought a new HP mini, whenever I plugged the external DVD-RW , the system will not detect it , the DVD-RW will just blink light alone.

Plug the DVD machine to another computer with functional usb ports to confirm if the machine is working properly. Furthermore, connect functional usb devices to your mini laptop to check the workability of the usb ports. This will help you know where the problem is.

If your flash drive has a button, push the button to the other side. If not, google 'how to remove write protection on a flash drive'

I have seen this happen several times. Stop using that charger. Go get yourself a charger compatible with your laptop (check voltage and current specifications). Make sure the charger doesn't hang your mouse before paying for it.
