Zouma is a far more experience and accomplished defender than Ake, and was actually benching Cahill 2 or 3 years ago. He's now on loan at Stoke. Christensen whos been playing first team football in Germany and in Europe has yet to squeeze into the first 11. Are we saying we believe Ake was good enough for a shirt ahead of these lads? I don't agree.

Ake is a middling midtable talent who is where he belongs at this point in time. If he was not Chelsea affiliated, we probably wouldnt even know his name.

Conte has now revealed that he Bakayoko was to understudy Matic. He also revealed that Bakayoko was preferred to Chalobah. That alone tells you that the Manager had no use for the likes of Chalobah, because there are 2 midfield spots, and there would have been Kante, Fab, Bakayoko, and Matic ALL ahead of Nathan C.

And we haven't even mentioned Ake as a midfield option yet
