Why wont you check per 90mins? Sig (9,11) played more than 1200 minutes (13 gamnes) more that Pedro alone last season (9,9), If we gave Pedro those Sig's minute, he would surpass and not by little margins, the output of Sigurdsson.

Again measuring the minutes played does not take into consideration the team mates you're playing with during those minutes.

You cannot expect someone playing with Hazard(3 time league champion), Fabregas( multiple league champio) , Costa(3 time league champion), etc to produce at the same rate someone playing with Jordan Ayew( relegated with Aston Villa), Leroy Fer( relegated with QPR and Norwich), and Wayne Routledge (relegated with Crystal Palace).

It's just not possible, so comparison based on rate of production is dead in the water.

So we must collate based on totals and use our discretion to consider quality of teammates. Swansea were so bad they hired 3 different managers to save them...bros don't go there.

In terms of capacity to improve, Lukaku has scored 16, 20, 25, and 26 goals in his 4 consecutive seasons...thats constant improvement....and now he's moved to a bigger team to play along better players who will undoubtedly create better quality chances for him, at a a higher volume too.

Morata on the other hand managed 9, 15, 12, and 20 goals over the same time period

Belloti did 10, 6, 12, and 28 in his last 4 seasons.

I don't know how you assessed these ceilings, but the logic ain't looking watertight to me.

I am only glad boys are beginning to take their future seriously. Buying a 23yr old midfielder when chalobah is still struggling to get playing time is a clear indication of the clubs plan for him. I particularly like the fact that he refused signing a new contract of 70k per week so he can be benched again before being loaned out.

In 2 to 3yrs time maybe we will try getting him back for 60-80mil after selling him for 7mil if he improves significantly. This club will never learn how to manage their prospects properly.
