I definitely picked the wrong profession. Herrera on Jose Mourinho in Training. “I like Mourinho’s sessions: very dynamic, always with the ball. There are no really long sessions or talks. He understands what a footballer needs: twenty minutes, that’s it. No time to lose concentration 20 minutes training. Meanwhile, I spend my a large chunk of my weekend studying like a donkey. |

That Martinez is a lunatic sha.
Played Hazard full 90 minutes in a meaningless friendly vs Holland, and if Hazard did not immediately pull off his boots after being kicked vs Estonia, Martinez would have kept him on. Scores was 6-1 and Martinez no wan use him church mind.
What it's wrong with these international managers sef? See as Wenger dey wail say Chile wan kill Sanchez. I saw a picture this morning of Sanchez training with his leg heavily bandaged like a mummy.

SailorXY: Face value this would be right but not in reality. No team will have one pass per game just like no team under pressure from parking the bus will find the calmness making accurate passes in their box.
In perspective, United average possession is 55% (from 5,927 passes) which is 5th in the league. 17.4 shots/game which is 4th in the league (& 9th highest in all Europe) 5.6 shots on/game which is 6th in the league. No team will average that parking the bus.
Last season United averaged nearly 68% (1st in the league) possession in the league with below 3 shots/game (18th in the league). If we observe it closely, that was the proper bus parking with effizy You will notice that none of the stats you've mentioned were listed in Oasis's original post...hence my original question. It's taken a while, but at least you have arrived now |

SailorXY: but how can you be having highest pass accuracy defending without the ball? Pass accuracy only measures what is done on the ball. If a team makes only 1 succesful pass during the game, they will post 100% pass completion, despite perhaps only having 10% possesion. |

Ronaldo is also the definition of sartorial elegance. Messi looks like he takes style tips from Ellen Degeneres.
While Ororo is rocking a sharp haircut and is clean shaven, Messi is busy rocking a blonde fringe and a shaggy bearbear like a homeless santa claus.

bykebyke: His reason are WTF-ish.
Cristina is better because he motivated his teammates to go win a final.
Lmao.
Just see. What exactly is wrong with that though? Ronaldo was ready to kill the French with a hattrick. Payet being a Barka fan quickly went to do a hatchet job on Ororo. What Payet and his midget overlord didn't reckon with was a word called 'Destiny'. Payet may have broken Ororos leg, but he couldn't break his spirit. Instead of heading to the sickbay, we saw ororo jumping around on his one-and-half leg, exhorting his team, and encouraging them. Unlike the vertically challenged Argentine Bieber who couldn't inspire higuain, ADM and Aguero , Ororo stood literally and figuratively tall on the touchline and his team mates were ready to sweat blood for him. Lord Ororo granted his favour to Eder, a noobsaibot looking striker, who couldn't make the bench at Swansea and had only ever scored 3 goals for Portugal, and gave the Baba dudu the belief and confidence to score such a decisive goal in France. Ororo is Messi master. Take it and go. |

SailorXY: Messi is phenomenal tho. On a personal level, CR will be in my team. His mental strength is unbelievable. He isn't the most talented of the bunch but he always pushed himself to the limits. Determination is his story - something Anderson, Nani & now Depay can't manage. Of course, Messi is phenomenal but power pass power. Devil is extremely powerful, but God is his master. Batman is powerful but Superman pass am. I think that Messi had tried. He is the only player who has been worthy of comparison to the great deity Ororo of Madeira...but he has to accept that Ororo is the supreme being in the iberian peninsula. So you're wrong when you say you will have Ororo in your team. Ororo of Madeira is the team. The other 10 lads are merely ball boys |

pelvicky: No credit to him for turning to a motivational speaker.
He did what any human being would have done. Or what do you expect him to say. Did Messi do it? Ororo was already joint second highest goal scorer in the tournament in the runup to the final. If not for injury, I'm sure he would have scored a hattrick against France. He got injured and was the one giving team talk at half-time instead of the manager. His teammates talk about drawing 'energy' from Ororo and swore that they would win it for him. They did not draw the strength from the manager who is the actual one supposed to be motivating them. Even Eder came to say that Ronaldo gave him the strength to carry on. compare to Aguero on Messi here: Aguero told reporters after the match, "Some of us are evaluating not playing for the national team anymore.
"Some (players) in the locker room are looking really bad; I don't think they'll continue with the national team. If you think about it, creating opportunities for other players is a good thing for the national team."
Aguero added, referencing Messi's missed penalty kick in the shootout: "Lamentably, the most f---ed up is Leo, because of the penalty. It's the worst I've seen him in the dressing room. Ororo is the greatest. Accept it and move on. |

pelvicky: Is it by crying on the pitch or what? Cos ayam not understanding.
Eder is portugal saviour. See below: Despite trying to carry on Ronaldo was unable to, but teammate Cedric Soares has revealed the captain stepped up at half-time to deliver a speech to inspire them on to victory.
"It was a very, very tough moment. It was a really tough moment for me and for the team," he said of Ronaldo's injury. "I think everybody was a little bit in shock but at half-time Cristiano had fantastic words with us. "He gave us a lot of confidence and he said, 'Listen people, I'm sure we will win this Euro so stay together and fight for it'.
"It was unbelievable. All the team had a fantastic attitude and showed that when you fight as one you are much much stronger And another one Eder, who plays for French side Lille having previously been at Swansea, said his captain's words had inspired him to make the decisive contribution.
"[Ronaldo] told me I would score the winning goal for the team," the striker told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo. "He gave me this strength, this energy and it was vital. One more.... Speaking afterwards, Pepe said that his side’s victory was for Ronaldo.
"It was tough to lose our main man, the man who could at any moment score a goal. He could make the difference," the 33-year-old said.
"But God helped us…we said we would win it for him and we managed to do that. Are you understanding now? |

Oya shift. Definitely. Both of them has won everything to win at club and individual levels. Both have captained their countries to historic finals. One inspired his team to victory against all odds by beating France in their backyard. The other one was repeatedly molested by an illegal immigrant from Ghana in Brazil, and then continued to lead by ignominious example by missing the first penalty in the shootout against Chile. bykebyke: Thank God you stuck with the national team narrative. Yes, because that text is missing from Messi's library. Come to think of it, Pedro has won almost as many trophies as Messi, plus World Cup and Euros. 20 years from now when Barca Alumni meet up at the strip club to pop bottles and throw some ones, and talk turns to the good old days...if Messi mistakenly tries to pipeup about the world cup, Pedro might just back hand him. If he talks too much, they might just call Pepe and Sergio Ramos to rough him up again...for old times sake. |

Griffon: Rumor has it that we would be splashing out during the winter transfer window. I don't know how true this is but I want to believe it is true.
Our current squad in all sincerity isn't tailor-made for Conte's 3-4-3, how the Italian is getting the best out of these boys in that setup remains a mystery.
Naturally, the RWB position Moses is manning should be occupied by a natural RWB, this is not to say Victor isn't doing a great job in his new given role but he's no RWB. The experience the likes of Candreva, Liechenstner etc would bring to the fore would always look different (this is not to say I want Liechenstner either).
Cahill hasn't been genuinely tested at that left side of our back-line. He pretty much looks to me the same player he was couple of months ago. Marcos Alonso might be doing okay at the moment but let's not overlook his defensive frailties. I like the lad for his link-up plays, deliveries and movements but the job of a wing-back doesn't end there.
A close look at our bench explains that we don't even have the needed depth. An injury to Hazard, Costa, Azpilicueta or even Kante would spell doom for us. In the absence of Moses, can we trust Ola Aina to do a yeoman job at that RWB? Can Chalobah fill in for either Matic or Kante against a top side? Can we trust Willian to do better than Pedro in that front three?
In all, what I am trying to point out is the need for reinforcement come next year. By the time this season would be over, we'd be talking European football, failing to prepare, would be preparing to fail.
So roll out the bank cheque next year I say. Place Mikel, Fabregas, Oscar and Ivanovic on the transfer list, hopefully, the quartet would rake in around £100m for us.
Bring in one solid ball playing centre-back (Christensen), One left-wingback (Ricardo Rodriguez) or better still (Kenedy or Ake), one CM (Witsel or any good chap) and one forward (Griezmann).
Yes, Griezmann! As we prepare for Europe, our attack should be as fiery as the MSN or even the BBC. No amount quoted for Antoine should discourage us from making that dream a reality. A lethal attack has its own advantage and we must enjoy that next season. Years ago when we had Robben, Duff, Gudjohnsen, Drogba, Joe Cole et al, we would send fear down the spines of opponents even before kick-off, that is reigning supreme. Break the world transfer record for that French man and get him a home in West London I say.
I'd love to read your thoughts on this. I agree with you to a certain extent. I think that we are still too heavily reliant on Hazard and Costa. I think that the switch to 343 has strengthened us defensively by committing more men to defensive duties, and exempting our key strikers from any defensive work, and giving them near absolute freedom to do anything they want in the attacking third. So far, this strategy has worked...but for how long? The system isn't creating that many chances in comparison to other teams, e.g Man Utd, Liverpool, City, Spurs, and even Southampton. Matic is our joint top assist man, but 3 of his assists came from corner flick ons, and the other 2 were simple passes to players who still had it all to do. Even the guy himself says so here: "I don’t think I am playing more offensively," "In some moments of the game I can try to go forward if I see that behind me everything is covered, and maybe this has been happening more. "I have some assists, but this is a game where you can only get an assist if your team-mate scores and to be honest I am just lucky, as it is my team-mates who have been scoring a lot of goals." Hazard and Costa not only take the highest amount of shots in the team, but they are also the top dribblers. What this means is that these guys are more or less having to create openings for themselves to shoot at goal. So I definitely agree that we need another top quality attacker to share the load. Pedro is averaging exactly one shot per game (very very poor) in the league and he's our joint third highest goal scorer in the league after Hazard and Costa with a miserly 2 goals. If anything happens to Costa and/or Hazard, we lose our goal threat, which is exactly what I believe happened to us last season. Griezmann is unlikely to sign in January at least, but I heard Payet might be available. |
