CapitalCee: Look at that gif again its not lack of pace, its simply lack of awareness and lazy attitude. Elsharawy saw the ball lumped into Chelsea's near post, so do Alonso( watch closely his eyes are clearly on the ball) Elsharawy RAN PAST him, to meet the lose ball close to him, Alonso did not even run a yard, he was just jogging. its clearly poor awareness and lazy attitude. If i am his manager, i will not be happy with him. And even where was the 3rd central defender? or the defensive midfieder to clean up? Btsports actually made this point in their analysis yesterday. Rio Ferdinand even paused and zoomed in on Alonsos face to identify the exact moment when the guy realised he had fücked up. |

airmark: I don't see sense in playing him and causing the team a lot of problems in matches. What happens to trying luiz or christensen in the middle?
Bakayoko-fabregas combo is a No for me, against a top side. I was referring to why I think he didn't attempt to chase Perotti. Here's the thing, I agree the Baka-Fab combo is a bust, but if Conte is still playing that combo with the likes of Drinkwater, Kante and Luiz fit...then there's a problem. Conte didn't have a problem dropping Fab as we saw last season, but I suspect that most of, perhaps even all our midfielders are currently unfit, which has forced Contes hand. Left to the man, he would have played Kante yesterday, because he actually declared him fit. Kante was the one that said no way. |

airmark: You are right, bakayoko seems to me to be a lazy midfielder, tracking back. He has so many things to work on, including his cardio. That guy's knee never heal. Conte has been playing the guy with 1 and half leg since the spurs match. Same with Luiz. Same with Drinkwater. Conte even declared Kante fit for last night's match only for Kante to rule himself out, and declare himself 50-50 for Manyoo match. |

airmark: How? Rudiger had no business to continue trailing dzeko, once he saw luiz and azpi closing in on him. He was supposed to move away behind dzeko and close the other freed attacker. Dzeko had very slim chance of outwitting the two in his front. Look at it well.
https://j.gifs.com/kZZQ1J.gif Exactly. Simple Communication fixes this issue. Rudiger should have instead run into the space Azpi should be occupying. Azpi himself should not have run too close to Luiz there. The 3 of them were man marking where they should have been zonal marking. |

pamcode: There were times I didn't understand the players position on the field. How come Azpilicueta was the one marking Sharawaay.. Where was Luiz? After Willian sub on it looked like we still kept on with three at the back. Don't forget that Alonso was the one pressuring Naingollan higher up on the right flankThen Luiz was man marking Dzeko and got pulled away with his run. Ridiculous. |

https://j.gifs.com/D99N5K.gif3rd goal 1. Roma Player collect's Fabregas's misspass in the Roma half2. Roma Player passes to Perotti who then runs past Pedro's half attempt to tackle 3. Azpi is now staring at Perotti but refuses to close him down, Perotti quickly runs past. 4. Luiz is the next player to run towards Perotti yet inexplicably failed to attempt to charge down the shot Perotti scores. Another series of Comical Brainfarts. |

diggz: Every spirit of bakayoko in that post actually means every spirit of brainfarts! Luiz was caught not being able to trap a ball yesterday when I made that post. It had nothing to do with bakayokos game lastnite.
Yes I don't like bakayoko as a player however, I won't be place yesterday's defeat on him. I have not done that...if you can find any of such post kindly repost. Thanks All i said you somehow managed to blame Bakayoko's spirit for Luiz's fuckupz? And I proved that. Why can't Luiz's spirit take responsibility for his Body's fuckupz? |

Nihilist: Nobody talking about the multiple brain farts around.
Everybody is shouting Bakayoko.
Diggz for example, has nailed his colours firmly to the mast. Luiz had the mother of all brainfarts yesterday, and Diggz somehow managed to blame the spirit of Bakayoko for it.
Tiemoue the psychic controller of PlayStation Dave. diggz: Naaah! Not me and not true bruv! I have not placed any blame on bakayoko regarding our defeat yesterday rather I have kept on emphasising out major problem wasn't the midfield for the first 2goals. Please, check my post.
I called Luiz out lastnite too. diggz: Luiz omg!!!

Interesting angle... Forgive us the long, cumbersome list but below is the make-up of Chelsea’s three-man defence this season, with an asterisk marking a clean sheet.
You may notice that the one thing all those asterisks have in common is that they occur next to the name of Cesar Azpilicueta, not at wing-back but in the centre of a three-man defence.
Luiz-Azpilicueta-Cahill Rudiger-Cahill-Luiz Rudiger-Azpilicueta-Christensen Rudiger-Azpilicueta-Luiz * Rudiger-Azpilicueta-Luiz Christensen-Azpilicueta-Cahill * Luiz-Azpilicueta-Cahill * Rudiger-Cahill-Christensen Rudiger-Azpilicueta-Christensen * Luiz-Azpilicueta-Cahill Cahill-Christensen-Rudiger Luiz-Azpilicueta-Cahill Christensen-Azpilicueta-Cahill Cahill-Luiz-Rudiger Rudiger-Cahill-Christensen Rudiger-Azpilicueta-Luiz * Cahill-Luiz-Rudiger
Only once – after a clean sheet against Everton – has Antonio Conte retained the same back three.
He is of course dealing with an increased workload but it appears to defy logic that such a meticulous coach would constantly tinker with the heart of his defence.
When you are as uncertain defensively as Chelsea have uncharacteristically been for much of the season, surely any good performance should be seized upon as an opportunity for continuity.
So when a back three of Antonio Rudiger, Azpilicueta and David Luiz (incidentally the same trio who kept that first clean sheet against Everton) excelled against Bournemouth – with Davide Zappacosta also excellent at wing-back – the instinctive response would be to task the same trio with the same jobs against Roma, even if that once again means your captain watching from the sidelines.
Instead, Azpilicueta was shunted wide, Luiz moved central and Rudiger switched to accommodate Cahill.
The result, unsurprisingly, was total chaos. Hardly surprising, you might think, when the only other outing for this incarnation was the 4-2 win over Watford when Chelsea initially looked very vulnerable. |

Just look at these 3.
Before we go back to blaming midfield, can we just take a minute to appreciate how these 3 fools managed to cöck up a 3 on 1 numerical advantage?
What is this?
What the Fück is this?
