Lol I agree to an extent. Joshua is a far more polished boxer than Deontay who literally mauls and butchers opponents to death in the ring. Based on technique alone I would give AJ the fight easily. He also is about the same size so he wouldn't have the issues hitting him like he had with Takam.

My worry for AJ would be his stamina and his chin (I no still trust that chin) then Wilder's hand speed. Crude as Wilder is his hand speed is complete madness and if he gets Joshua dazed omo he fit no survive am oo! AJ is the better ring technician sha and 7 times out of 10 the technician beats the brawler
Precision beats power. Timing beats Speed.

Wilder is a brute force algorithm, while AJ is Social Engineering. I know you jasi this code.

“His attitude changed,” Nelson said. “Let me tell you this. Wilder had sparred with Wladimir Klitschko on various occasions.
“Wladimir Klitschko knocked him out cold twice and put him down a third time with a body shot. This is the worst kept secret going. Wilder sees what Anthony Joshua did to Klitschko and he thinks, ‘Wow’."
Bum squad will get DisBombulated if he tries it with an actual boxer like AJ

Funny enough Dad is the polar opposite. That's probably because He came to the UK in the 60s to study and the thing don tire am. Big Man relocated permanently to Naija in the early 2000s. Only comes for Holidays and it's never during the Winter period.
My Dad comes anytime but never longer than a week. Most times he comes on Wednesday and is back in Lagos in time for Church on Sunday morning

He's also an old school Ebutte Metta boy and seems to get upset, if he doesn't make it down to isale eko every fortnight.

In the last 3yrs I have seen many bank managers, People in Banks AM and above in Nigeria that relocated to Yankee and wont mind doing this menial job even some people who are on 9-13M a year in Nigeria

All those people lamenting on that thread, if you tell them you will give them an American visa for 1 week and collect 2M Naira they will all drop the money and flee
Outside of Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria is mostly like a real life Mad Max Movie.

It can seem unfathomable to someone who has never experienced anything other than the Nigerian wasteland, but the UK really is like heaven.

Out of my dad's 6 kids, 4 of us are fully based here. Of the remaining 2, one is in boarding school, the other one is preparing for NYSC.

My Dad can't leave because of his business interests, but he has sworn that all of us must leave the country. grin

Everytime he comes to visit, na cursing left and right. He hates Nigeria with a passion, and he's one of the ones that could be reasonably described as doing OK.

What's your take on this?

funlord, afrodoc etc
Oboi I just read the full 30+ pages finish.

I think people don't understand that there's a system to good living out in the West, and the name of that system is Credit.

People are too used to the Nigerian system of cash transactions. That's why they're shouting savings savings upandan on that thread.

Not saying the savings are not important, but you need to be in tune with how the West run things, and you will definitely prosper.

Just a headsup to any of you planing to make the move. Obtaining a good credit score should be at the top of your to-do list, and you must be prepared to guard your credit rating with your life.

I can't emphasise it enough.

Good Credit Rating is the key to experiencing all that western countries have to offer.

When Muhammed Ali was in trouble against Henry Cooper, Ali's corner man tore his gloves in between rounds just so they had to extend the rest period to allow Ali put on new gloves. This gave Ali time to recover and go on and win the fight.
So many tricks in the book but basic thing is you don't take punishment that you can avoid.

Wilder is really ugly to watch. And you are on point about him. He has no footwork, no set up game, does not jab effectively, has not shown any defence to speak of and is all right hook.
But that hook seems to have poison in it. I saw a fight where his opponent appeared to be having seizures or something similar after the knockdown.
I see your point fully now doc.

Wilder is a bully, and that right hand is a nuclear weapon....but only the uninitiated need fear him imo.

I heard that Klitschko knocked out Wilder 3 times in sparring...with Bodyshots.

Unbeaten record better pass knockdown record. I saw that move and i just confirmed this is a guy who does not forget boxing tutorials.
Trust me these are tips given to every pro boxer but in the heat of battle many forget what they have been taught, Joshua didn't forget.

Wilder has the advantage in experience and reach AND because he is a swin.ger he is the one more likely to have a knockout via a lucky punch.
Joshua is younger, faster, more skilled as a boxer and hits harder BUT can sometimes be too measured with his punches.

I think it will come down to stamina and chin.
I boxed at amateur level and even that's new to me. The tactics I learnt were mostly ring control( centre, angles, inside/outside boxing) and conditioning(how to take a punch, guard, grappling) etc.

This is the first time I'm hearing about this tactic of going down to but time. I guess you learn every dat.

If Joshua circles from right to the left, through out the match, then that's Wilder done.

Wilder has no fundamentals. No footwork, basic combinations, and everything he does is geared towards setting up that right hook.

If Joshua takes him on the inside and circles clockwise, it could be over by the 5th or 6th.

AJ moved up really quickly so what he lacks in experience he makes up for in instinct and natural talent plus he is smart too.
It was the Klitschko fight that showed me how smart he was. If you watch closely the Klitschko punch didn't knock him down, he went to the ground intentionally himself to avoid further punishment, take the count and clear his head.
Any other boxer would have done eegun ori, stay up taken 2 or 3 more punches for Klitschko and been done for the night.
Interesting insight there doc.

I must admit that I never even considered that angle, but I suppose that's one way of buying time, provided you're not worried about preserving your knockdown record.

Yes the guy is very smart, and very technical.

His technicality his size amazing. The way he drops combinations is mouth watering. His agility and hand speed is too too good

I love boxers who can actually box, nor just bruteforcing their way through bouts with sheer punching power.

I was very doubtful about this guy, but he keeps showing me different angles to his game. He can give you sweet science and he can dasi rough.

He might just be the chosen one

It's fixable

In the great palace of the god of casting, sitting around were the greatest casters of all time.

The reigning casters of the season, Dortmund, were seated at the right hand. Everton on the left.

And the god of casting said "who shall I send to wreak havoc in the bet slips of these unsuspecting humans?"

Everywhere was silent, you could hear a pin drop.

He said again "who shall make me proud like Dortmund and earn a place at my table?"

Fiorentina said, "with all due respect your Highness, I have already done some damage today, why can't I sit with you?"

The god replied, "your damage wasn't felt as much as I want, I want to make people cry and curse the day they ventured into betting. Who is up to this?"

From behind came a voice, "I am here my lord, send me". All eyes turned towards the voice, behold it was *Real Madrid*. grin

Why are you over exaggerating? Bakayoko's ball control is similar to Matic's they don't always trap it well and do you want Bakayoko to only make back passes because i don't except him to make those delicate long or through balls Luiz and Fabregas make. Bakayoko is more like a defensive winger and lacks the basis of a world class midfielder finesse ball control and a classic pass, delivery technique but he is fast and strong for a DM and box to box midfielder.

I actually didn't forget.
If I sold Kane, getting him back again next week would have left me at a loss, plus there was no striker out there I could trust to deliver this weekend (this hunch seems to be spot on now)
My bench is useless, that why I wasn't too bothered about even moving Kane to the bench, and I needed the extra FT to make the fixes I need.

The only mistake I made was forgetting to remove Lukaku as my captain, maybe I for don even overtake you now

Thank you.
You need to be exceptional to win the ballon D' Or , atleast in this messi-ronaldo era. Attributing it to barca or Madrid is just easy.
There are only 4-5 teams better than Chelsea in the champions league right now, while only Madrid and maybe PSG will legitimately blow us out of the water 9 games out of 10.
That is enough Quality for Hazard to show his stuff.
Barca last year had 3 of the world's top 5 forwards.

The other 2(or 1 depending on your opinion of Bale) were at Madrid.

Madrid had literally had the best midfield in the world and top 5 defenders on the books.

If you can't see the massive gulf in quality between the only team to successfully defend a UCL title win and Chelsea in 2017, then I'm afraid I cannot help you.
