A toddler threw a self-pitying tantrum on live television on Monday night. Unfortunately he was 73 years old, wearing a long red tie and running the world’s most powerful country. Starved of campaign rallies, Mar-a-Lago weekends and golf, and goaded by a bombshell newspaper report, couldn’t take it any more. Years of accreted grievance and resentment towards the media came gushing out in a torrent. He ranted, he raved, he melted down and he blew up the internet with one of the most jaw-dropping performances of his presidency. Trump’s Easter had evidently been ruined by a damning 5,500-word New York Times investigation showing that Trump squandered precious time in January and February as numerous government figures were sounding the alarm about the coronavirus. With more than 23,000 American lives lost in such circumstances, some presidents might now be considering resignation. Not Trump. He arrived in the west wing briefing room determined to tell the world, or at least his base, that he was not to blame. Instead it was a new and bloody phase of his war against the “enemy of the people”: the media. Families grieving loved ones lost to the virus were in for cold comfort here.

Russia is now feeling the heat too. |
Which will be better lockdown everyone and hope for a vaccine( coming out in 18months) or let everyone go out and hope for herd immunity? If we ease the lockdown and If people drop dead like chickens at least the economy would be working, and hopefully herd immunity will ensure that those who survived will pass the immunity down to their offspring. Hmmm Which is better ![]() |
2020 is totally phucked. Read a fascinating article in the Telegraph - - about air travel after lockdown. Basically until a vaccine is found, they are stuffed, even with less people, what about using a toilet, if the previous user is carrying coronavirus? You shed viral particle before you show symptoms? Most of the thoughts came from me, not the article, but still: nasty? The same is true for everywhere you go, until the vaccine, a nightmare for any not infected. Even after reliable tests are found. So, what about bukas, clubs, sports grounds, buses, taxi`s, the the red buses, lifts, stairwells, shops, libraries, theaters, cinemas or anywhere else, unless and until a vaccine is found, anyone not sure they are `immune` - hopefully - and scared of dying, or passing it on to someone else to die, must stay insanely careful and very lucky? Do you feel lucky, people? |
Sunsets:Thank you. You deserve a chilled beer |
Astark:Oyo state is bigger than Singapore, Qatar and Silicone valley. You know what I am saying right ![]() |
crestedaguiyi:Really. You would rather prefer the narrative of the SE being an erosion riddle enclave with itinerant traders huh. I guess that's the stereotype you are most comfortable with. You know, if you dont like this kinda thread, there are other threads to indulge in |
mrvitalis:Excessively blued the sky ![]() The SW and Photosynthesis and photoshop |
Nice Views. Nature is happy. I am not... |
Sir Emeka offor, We appreciate these gestures but please work on your disco. One cant be in lockdown and also in darkness. The psychological effects on humans is enormous. Lockdown and in the dark. Please work on ur disco |

Escalze:Totally, never knew Drake had interests in Art deco. I used to underate rappers |
Ok. Still on my Tornado stuff. I am trying to make sure that all the building ripped apart by the tornado should have that eh...organic feel of concrete. So I am trying to fracture the concrete part of the buildings with some detail on the inner cuts. This stuff is procedural. And the tornado force should cause random fractures no matter its axis of operation. Yap. I dont even understand this last part.

Biafrarep:Its gonna be hard I tell you. Harder on American companies too. They dont only crave for cheap labour but cheap technically educated labour too. India might offer that kinda of technical labour but I doubt if Africa can. Secondly, the chinese labour have the spirit of collectivism. That worker ant mentality. They can work nine to twelve a day. Someone raised in a democratic setting like Nigeria or india or Americans does not believe in the worker ant mentality. A nigerian cant work nine to twelve without strong resentments. But up there in China, their communist upbringing ensures that and capitalists from the west are capitalising on it. |
I will urge you guys to use this opportunity to advance your computer based skills. You might think it will not lead you anywhere but it sure does. I am using myself as an example. Typically, this lockdown would have had me screaming my lungs out had it been that I am in a white collar job or running a traditional business. Staying at home without earning money is a trauma. But thank God for all the sacrifices put into CGI, I am actually working from home. Working on an outsourced job all the way from Hyderabad. The pay is small but nonetheless satisfying. So anyone still in this CGI stuff should put in extra pounds into work. Horn that skillset this period. Covid quarantine is an opportunity to progress. By the way Cinesite canada has various jobs open for grabs. Check their website They are looking for Surfacing Artists Rigging artists Look development Character modelers VFX artists...specially Houdini artists. Visa and relocation assistance is provided. Check them out. This is why I believe in specialization and not being a generalist. With the this job offer aforementioned, you can see for yourself. I always advised people to specialize in one area of CGI once they grab the rudiments. Dont ever be the Jack of all trades. You will never be good enough. |
Tumbulum:With which money. I cant marry if I am not stable. This country cant afford me that opportunity unless via politics |
fraymite:Yet still. Muslim organisations should play a visible role. In saudi and uae they are very much donating hospitals and equipment Nigerian Muslim bodies shouldn't be any different |
Dpharisee:Yes o, Most of them have underlying conditions like Diabetes and obesity. Covid works well with these diseases ![]() |
RemoveKebab:I am telling you. Imagine going there around midnight. You might see a lot of agonized manifestations. I dont believe in ghosts by the way. |
Breadfruit:One million bodies buried. Chai. A whole lot of auras nd energy will float there. Trapped energies, ley lines and agonized manifestations will abound. |
Biafrarep:They really need to be sanctioned by all and sundry. But who will. The world is so dependent on china for all her consumables that if we sanction China....No one will work. Businesses will collapse. Many African countries will go bankrupt (China is our backbone) How did we get to be so dependent on one country sef? |
Now Ameri is the hotspot. I know all death is death and where you are buried does not matter in the grand scheme of things, but getting lumped up together with a bunch of strangers in a mass grave feels like a disrespect, an ostracism. Being buried in your own spot is worth it. Having your own grave stone is always better. I pity the older people. I imagine myself in their spot. Alone and isolated. Waiting for death. Senior citizens are especially hard hit, particularly the widows and widowers. For many, it’s the painful sense of missing their grandkids, the precarity of living with a disease that could kill them at any time. For others, it’s the wrenching loneliness. A time might come when even the simplest of human expressions like kissing would be done via a mask. This is apocalyptic. I cant believe my generation will experience a pandemic. All my Canada plans shelved and scattered. Mtchew

The good old days of OBJ and NOI Then I had hope in Nigeria. Canada was never on my mind. Now....I cant wait for covid to end so I can vamooze |
The Chinese government has signalled an end to the human consumption of dogs, with the agriculture ministry today releasing a draft policy that would forbid canine meat. Citing the “progress of human civilisation” as well as growing public concern over animal welfare and prevention of disease transmission from animals to humans, China’s Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs singled out canines as forbidden in a draft “white list” of animals allowed to be raised for meat. The ministry called dogs a “special companion animal” and one not internationally recognised as livestock. The city of Shenzhen recently approved the first ever mainland China ban on consumption of dog and cat meat, a move that has given hope to animal welfare groups worldwide that other parts of the country could soon follow suit. The new draft policy has provided even more. HSI estimates that between 10 and 20 million dogs are killed in China for their meat annually, while Animals Asia puts the figure for cats at around 4 million per year. Most of these are stolen animals and not raised in captive breeding facilities, Higgins said. “Not only does it cause enormous animal suffering, but it is also almost entirely fuelled by crime and, perhaps most significantly right now, poses an undeniable human health threat with the risk of diseases such as rabies and cholera,” she said. The updated agriculture ministry list includes the addition of several wildlife species allowed to be farmed under animal husbandry laws if the policy is not altered following a public comment period that runs through May 8. Wildlife such as deer, game birds, along with mink, two kinds of foxes, and other animals were included on a list of animals expected to be approved as farm-raised species once China’s central government lifts a ban on the wildlife trade.

calling a state a village when your entire Biafra region isn't even bigger than Oyo state is very funny and ironic.
