An unprecedented event of worldwide significance is about to take place.

Jesus Christ will return.

In fact, he will return twice. The first time secretly; the second time so that all eyes can see him. The first instance is known as “the rapture,” and it is the blessed hope of all true Christians; the second instance is known as “the glorious appearing,” and it is the fear of all worldly people who deny His divinity.

Christians look forward to the Rapture with joy. Those who have died will be resurrected and those who are alive will be changed. All will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.

We know that our sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus and we will not have to answer for them. But we will be rewarded according to our faithfulness. When trials come our way it is good to remind our selves that the Lord sees everything.
Let us rejoice and be glad; let us praise his greatness! For the time has come for the wedding of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself for it. She has been given clean shining linen to wear. (The linen is the good deeds of God's people.) Then the angel said to me, "Write this: Happy are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." And the angel added, "These are the true words of God" (Revelation 19:7-9).

Jerusalem is a small city, with no natural resources, no port, insignificant manufacturing and industrial capability, yet its very existence causes the surrounding nations to shudder. For example, UN Resolution 476 reiterates that Israel's claims to Jerusalem are null and void. As a result, most countries transferred their embassies to Tel Aviv, rather than Jerusalem Israel's capital.

Jerusalem would be a burdensome stone to all nations (Zechariah 12:3). Almost daily the world news reports on the conflict over Jerusalem. The United Nations, the Vatican, and many world leaders want to make it an international city. However, God says that the city is His and He has given it to the Jews forever (Genesis 15:18; Leviticus 25:23; 2 Chronicles 6:6). All who burden themselves with it will be cut in pieces.

Israel would be invincible (Zechariah 12:6-9). Since 1948, tiny Israel has been attacked in three major wars and six lesser wars, yet despite being vastly outnumbered, they have defeated all attacking foes. Even during the final battle, when it looks like Israel will be destroyed, the Lord shall deliver her. (Jeremiah 30:3-7; Zechariah 14; Mark 13:14-20). An invincible Israel makes no sense unless you believe God's Word.

Israel would be partitioned by all nations (Joel 3:2; Daniel 11:39). This is another unimaginable prophecy! In 1947, United Nations Resolution 181 planned the partitioning of Israel. Currently, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and Gaza, have been divided up into Jewish and Palestinian settlements.

The Eastern Gate would remain closed until the Messiah returns. At Christ's Second Coming, He will enter Jerusalem through the now sealed Eastern Gate (Ezekiel 44:1-3). Today, as prophesied, the Eastern Gate remains sealed.

The nation of Israel, which had been divided into two kingdoms since the time of Solomon (950 B.C.) Israel in the north and Judah in the south would be one united nation in the last days (Ezekiel 37:15-22). And so it is, Israel is one nation.

The returning Jews would have no king until Jesus returns (Hosea 3:4-5). As foretold, Israel has been without a king for over 2500 years. Amazingly, not only is Israel no longer a theocracy, but today the Jewish state is governed by a democracy comprised of some 30 political parties.

The temple sacrifices would be reinstituted in Israel in the last days (Daniel 9:27; 12:11). Daniel foresaw the Antichrist ending the daily sacrifices. Therefore, the Jewish sacrificial system must have first been restored in the last days. Currently, the Temple Institute has created the temple furniture, vessels, and priestly garments. There are also several hundred young Jewish men in training for the Levitical priesthood.

Initially when I read the story I was really miffed and ready to take up arms against the BG but after reading the views here, I think I might have a rethink.

In the first place I didn't know this was a standard procedure, haing never witnessed any such thing. And may I never. God forbid it should be suggested I am certain I would opt to be sent back to my country. Nobody's land is that deserving of my dignity! If this story is true I think it is sad and  a horrid thing, just imagine this happening to your mum, wife, sister or girlfriend! Horrid to even think about. I would have thought in this age of technical sophistication, there would be absolutely no need for such a dehumanising thing to be done to anyone, black or white. I think airport authorities may need to start coming up with better ways of searching for hidden drugs.

Unfortunately, Nigerians are the ones who have damaged our name and reputation. You can't even enter some places abroad, once they hear you are Nigerian, the suspicion comes on.

It is fairly certain that Nigerian airport officials do the same or even worse, we just never heard of it.

On the whole I just think its an awful experience for anyone.
