He has also refused to realise that you play to the strength of the players in your team and not a strait jacket rigid system. Those who can see into the future warned about this but were shouted down and labelled as having a negative agenda. We are all here. First match and points frittered away with Amorim's ridiculous tactics of using Maguire as a battle r am centre forward.

I know, there will be increase in debt but we need players and we need at least European football to balance the books. If you don’t invest you don’t get it, considering how far we are from the top 6 it’s only right we spend.

The club is betting their chances on getting European football next season. If they don’t get it then we sell players.

Hopefully Saudi bring that 100 million for Bruno, and maybe sell some academy players.

I agree that we need to spend. And that’s what the owners have been doing even before Ineos came on board. Just noting that debt is a major source of funds for transfers, not like Ineos is putting in any money. So it’s business as usual. The main prayer is that the spending translates to improved performance on the pitch. Anything below 8th position is a no no.
