Daniel is most prolific off the left wing, but can also play on the right. Hopefully, this solves our 'right-wing' issues. |

eph12: If those players didn't take it upon themselves to be warriors on the field, they wouldn't have gotten this far at all.
Tell me, what tactics was applied when they lost about 7 out of last 10 matches in the league, home and away? Abi are those matches today and not everyday too?
You don't even have space for more bs up your ass, e don full already Screw you! We all know Tottenham's style of play, they've lost 7 out of 10 games, but they are in the final of champion's league and in the top 4. You can compromise to get results, it is called adaptability, but we need to be clear on what you do to get the best out of your players. Meanwhile, when the boiz were warriors (winning back to back games) with no sensible input from Ole, where were you? Fuvk off Buddy! |

GloryIsaac: Our 2nd place finish in Mourinho's second season is entirely because of David De Gea... Don't even mention Europa league because that completely exposes how shiit this club has become.
Putting blame on players lol, is it Ole that made De Gea spill the ball against Chelsea and Barca? Or is it him that stopped Rashford and Co from not scoring clear-cut chances? What magic do you want him to do on that yahoo man Sanchez?, Is it him that purchased Sanchez and gave him a fat salary that scattered the club's wage structure?
Who else was expected to take the job?, Pochettino. You think Daniel Levy will let Poch leave just like that? or does this look like some football manager game bullshiit?!
Before Mourinho got sacked, despite having as much as 18 games remaining, the club had already lost hope on UCL qualification....
Even OGS made it very clear that we have seen the last of some players in a ManUtd shirt!
Y'all need to take a fvcking chill pill abeg. When players perform, we praise the manager, when they play rubbish, we should exonerate the manager. I still dont get it, call a fvcking spade a spade, and move on! The team was winning games, we were praising the manager, now things are bad, and then the players should be blamed. What? So are you saying that De Gea is not a good keeper? that Pogba, Matic, Hererra, Martial, Rashford and Sanchez are not good and hard working players? You need to understand that the boiz are playing rubbish because something is wrong. When the head is sick and clueless, the whole body is clueless! Of course, we need additions, but dont tell me all the players we currently parade are useless. |

sod09: why do you need to be sacking everytime, how many years have klopp and pochettino used. Can't you give him like 2 years or more, in my opinion changing managers only work for a short time that's why man utd and chelsea are facing issue maybe arsenal too. let him work with the guys and sell off those he doesn't want, it takes a long time to build a team nah Bros, what are you saying? That your Arsenal mentality wont help here abeg. You did not mention Real Madrid, Bacelona, Bayern etc. Let me show you something, Barca has had five managers (post Guardiola) in the last 10 years. Six for Real Madrid in the last 10 years, Nine for Bayern (including about 3 temp managers). Man City too. These clubs are arguably the best right now (or have been in the last 5 years). Now tell me what is common, fire, hire, re-hire, and then buy a couple of players everytime they hire and re-hire. Forget tradition and DNA, whatever it takes to get to the top, just fuvking do it! |

ChristineC: chief the board has brought in David Moyes - proven EPL quality, kept Everton competing just below the big boys and a notch above the rest with negligible investment in playing staff. He couldn't get players he wanted because the players he chased simply didn't believe in him. How market? he report sheet was woeful!
the board has brought in LvG - seasoned manager for both club and country, managed players who felt they had balls and showed them he had even bigger, hairier balls. He managed to get a good percentage of the players he wanted but his report sheet wasn't good.
the board has brought in JM - seasoned manager, tested and trusted; been around Europe, he's won it all, you name it. He got his own players with relative ease although exorbitant cost but nobody cares because we wanted to return to the top and we've got one of the best in business. His score sheet was good but packed a certain flavor and he lost the same players he recruited.
seasoned managers didn't exactly light up the candles, the board has decided to try the other extreme of the stick and brought in a "rookie", why is there this reluctance to give him space? the players cannot sustain pressing from the front, they cannot score their chances, defenders keep making rookie mistakes at the rear, goalkeeper keep spilling back-passes; all of these were not so in his first few weeks and even when people argue that he didn't do anything and the players suddenly decided to play football after JM was sacked, then why couldn't the players sustain the intensity? We cannot keep parading lazy men who need extra motivation to pocket an average $300k weekly, stats show these guys cover much lesser grounds than more than half of the EPL teams and we are pointing fingers at one man. This defies logic. I don't care how much he wants to recruit this summer but I want see players who chase the ball and frighten opposing teams into mistakes next season. A midfield of Henderson and Milner unsettled Barcelona completely, nothin:g Henderson and geriatric fuckin:g Milner? Let's be serious please. Now you agree that the boiz turned up in the first few games of Ole's era because they are good, so, why did the intensity disappear? Do you even watch our games, we have no direction, style, nothing. First few games, we were doing counter attacks, right? So, what are we playing now? Fact is you need a sensible manager to get players' acts together, otherwise you should just buy players and tell them to start playing without a manager. Henderson and Milner have a coach that knows what he is doing and is bringing out the best from them. Klopp met these average players and turned them to some hard-working smart players. Of course, we have tried out other managers, but they messed up, I could say maybe only Van Gaal was building something before he was sacked. The fact is you continue to hire and fire until you get it right, case in point, Real Madrid, Chelsea, even Man City. Football has moved on from days of Alex when you stay and hope things get better. Now, even if we are in agreement that the club needs a rebuild, don't you think it's better to get an experienced manager or a rookie that has some tactics/style in his arsenal. There is no sense in appointing someone that has no fvcking experience and no football coaching sense. Can you tell me what specific thing this guy has going for him? Reason they even have Mike on board. They knew, but they were too quick to react to the winning streak. What I know is that this guy will be sacked this summer or by December. The former makes more sense than the latter, otherwise you would loose time, money, supporters, and even lives of die hard man Utd fans. |

ChristineC: are you saying OGS should be sacked this summer or what? Don't know why they appointed him in the first place. He was going to be a caretaker till the end of the season. Common sense should tell everyone that big teams perform well in first few games (at least 75percent of the time) when managers are changed, because it's a new regime, fresh environment, players will try to deliver. But then, you start to see the real change after some time. There are many precedents. We should have waited! Anyway, there is still time, we can still salvage what is left and move on. We can't afford to have a rookie do a rebuild. Can be senseless at times. We need to stop these emotional and familiarity biases. Same thing happened during Moyes' time because Na Fergie recommend am. We should stop putting all the blames on the players, most of these players were playing very well before they joined united, Mourinho second season, they played very well, even first few games of Ole the wheeler. I still remember how you guys were buying forms when they were playing very well. We celebrated big time when they were joining united, how come they are now shyte all of a sudden? There is no way a work team will function well without a good manager, even if you adopt a flat org structure, there is still a lead that is dishing out instructions and telling the members how to do things. |

These qualities do not exist at Man utd
This is before you get to high level footballers which is definitely non existent at the club.
United should not shortcut the pain otherwise it'll get worse than this. Rebuild the squad completely from the ground up take as long as is required. Take the L now. Build a good back room staff, bring in best in class football people from all over the world. to bring in a a good culture. Ole isnt the manager that will get us to were we want to be long term. You mind them? Ole can't do sh1t! They want to give him chance because other managers had time and resources. And then sack him in December after the guy has wasted 300m. You can only play the patience game with a manager that has a style of play. That guy has nothing for now. He should chill, his time will come. |

chidexxy007: https://totalfootballanalysis.com/head-coach-analysis/ole-gunnar-solskjaer-manchester-united-tactical-analysis-statistics Interesting article. Thank you for sharing this. In Solskjær’s first nineteen games in charge, United conceded seventeen goals. In the eight since his appointment was made permanent, they’ve conceded sixteen. They kept seven clean sheets in those first nineteen games compared with none after Solskjær became the permanent manager during the international break in March. I like this part (see below). How should Solskjær solve these problems? The easy answer is to start coaching. Since the international break in March, when Solskjær’s interim spell was made permanent, United have been a mess. The first game back was against Watford when United were lucky to scrape a win. Since then, Solskjær has bemoaned the lack of time his team has had to train because of all the games they’ve played. The reality, though, is that these defensive issues are easy to solve without high-intensive training sessions. The fact that it’s not getting better is worrying for United. Can Solskjær and his staff not see these issues? Do they want to defend in this reactive and chaotic manner? Previous performances (Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG away) suggest not. In honesty, United have had their best games when given about a week between games which tells us one of two things.
The first is that United’s preparation between games when they come thick and fast is poor. Given all their resources I find it hard to believe that. The second is that these players have such poor decision making in terms of defensive positioning when not meticulously preparing for a specific game plan for a week. It also seems quite harsh on a group of players that have won World Cup’s and Premier League titles. What seems true though, is that a lot of these players make too many individual mistakes so often that it creates a very chaotic team on the pitch. This is something to have in mind when United recruit in the summer.
As for Solskjær, he has two more games left and will have plenty of time to train. If United are to have a chance to finish in the top four, they need to sort their defensive issues now. A return to the more positionally-focused defence definitely seems like the way forward for Solskjær. |

kokaneprodigy: dude na finance 101 I give u so. You can take it or leave it. Reason Forbe’s categorically said RICHEST while the BBC report says VALUABLE. These things are used to track the progress or decline of coys. Coys don’t just close down in one day series of bad results make them close down. Take Diamond Bank for example, u can take Leeds United too. I never said City is richer than United today.
If u are to invest today will u invest with a coy posting losses?
Manchester United as of today is not as valuable as Man City simple. Finance 101. Calm down! Most valuable and richest are almost the same in finance. Some institutions say being rich is by revenue, but the fact is your market capitalisation (if you are a listed company) or fair/net asset valuation tells us how rich your company or entity is. Only reason your report is saying something different from Forbes' is the valuation methodologies adopted. I would go for Forbes' rather than a report from one riff raff entity or person. We all know that Forbes has been doing this sh1t for a very long time. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 4:25pm On May 04, 2019 |
kokaneprodigy: when you talk about rich you are valuing assets + money in the bank. Valuable is actually looking at ur investment decisions against ur profits. Reason the report talked about revenue vs profit.
You don’t expect City to beat United’s wealth over night.
Reason I said it’s a gradual process. It’s bad investment decisions overtime that makes u start selling those valuable assets and eventually become poor like Leeds United.
U dig? Fact is Man Utd is still one of the top two most valuable clubs in the world, but then, it's only a matter of time before we are out of the top 3. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 4:13pm On May 04, 2019 |
ChristineC: look at Liverpool, I don't see anything they've won for a decade, major or minor. clubs propped up by sugar daddies can only float as long as the man is interested, the day he gets bored is the day you realize it's all been a farce. there's almost no British club that'd survive servicing the debt the Glazers burdened on Manchester United, they've not only done that, but generated decent amount of money for player recruitment and maintenance as one of the biggest salary payers in Europe. yes they've not recruited wisely but have shown that with better experienced personality in the recruitment process, they can go for the biggest talents out there and not be hindered by funds. you think all that source of income will go away with a bat of the lid? the only thing that has held the club back is recruiting poorly, not the lack of a properly managed institution. the relationship between the brand and the success on the pitch vis a vis income generation is wildly elaborated, I'm not saying it is totally absent; but check how much has been taken by the Glazers since 2005 and check how much has been reinvested in the squad. What makes a brand so popular? Who accepts a brand? People! The fact is supporters of Man Utd abound in South East Asia, South East, Middle East, Africa and the likes. What you however need to understand is without success, you don't get a top brand and many followers. I mean, as the level of support declines due to poor results, the less top companies want to associate with your brand, and sale of jersies etc declines. AOL, Deezer, DHL etc will disappear. Its business, nobody does emotional and historical stuffs. |

ChristineC: care to shed light on how that will happen even in 10 years time? Well, what got us to where we are today were Fergie's successes. And there was consistency. We got so many deals signed up, earning stupendously. Of course, not only trophies, tickets and manchandise sales give revenues. You can say that Woodie is an investment banker, he will continue to use our history to sign up more deals, but one thing is sure, if we don't improve on the pitch, the deals will gradually fizzle away. It's been close to five years that we won a major trophy (premier league or champions league). You can't continue to market an underperforming club, last year we earned 590m or so, City earned 500. Three years ago, the gap was huge. |
