Yes you have to pay full one year tuition and fees before visa Issued given your unique quirkiness. Would you be able to pay?

yea my sponsor is ready to pay for that... he already has the idea what it will cost getting me to school over there...what if at the end the embassy didn't grant me visa which am not praying for, what will happen to the tuition fees I paid...and what could lead to visa denial after you must have made all the necessary payment...cause my sponsor said one is still not sure getting the visa after making all the whole payment. thanks much for your response I really appreciate cause you have really tried clearing me on this.

All the schools I have mentioned have computer science. You need to start digging in. Their tuitions plus room and board a year are astronomical--60k US dollars a year. But good thing is they are financially generous to promising and worthy student who otherwise cannot afford to attend. I attended two of the listed schools at practically 0$ to my cost. So go try your luck. If your sponsor who is your uncle, was denied visa, that doesn't mean anything. You are not your uncle. I mentioned some second tier schools in the USA, university of Maine. 20k a year USA dollars covering for everything. St Thomas University and Trent university in Canada are also affordable. 20K a year Canadian covering everything. Go do your research sir and wishing you the best!

Ps: no guarantees on visas. USA visa is pretty straightforward and easier to get with admission letter, valid I-20 and proof of financial ability. Documenting heaven and earth that you are gonna come back like they do in Canada embassy is not really in vogue with the USA application.

thanks much...I want to also know if am going to pay for the tuition fees before applying for the visa and interview. or am I going to make a partial payment before application once granted admission thanks.pls what are the procedures. Hope am not asking much..

St Thomas College, York University, Trent University in Canada have some of the most excellent transfer program and international scholarships. They are places any international student will feel very well at home. The USA has too many of them almost at least one in every state. Bowdoin, Reed, Hamilton, University of Maine in Machias, Orono and Southern Maine. The list goes on. Bates College, Colby College, Susquehanna University, Lafayyette College, etc. These are elite places, but with a decent CGPA and good recommendation from your teachers and excellent essay, you can get in. There is always some form of scholarship partial or full. No scholarship for transfers though in Canada. Something to keep in mind. Thanks for changing your mind on absconding. There is really an inherent and intrinsic worth to getting an education. People can take away many things from you. But nobody can take an education away from you. That and God. Nobody can take God away from you even if they lock you in prison. Education is like that and is worth acquiring and staying put to learn and not running off to make cash. That time to make cash will come after you finish and you will be glad you stayed put to learn. You will stand before kings like Daniel if you are faithful.

I don't really know who you are but I thank God for bringing you my way...you have been able to answer my questions beyond my imagination...I must coffees am really grateful...pls one more thing I will also like to ask you the following questions
1.which of this schools has the best affordable tuition fee for Computer science cause that's the course I have been studying for three years now..and
2. what does their tuition fee look like
3.And what is my chance of getting the visa cause I have a sponsor who has been denied the the US visa twice. Am sure not on financial ground, maybe for reason or the other...hope is not going to affect my application?

The advice I have is if you are interested, start googling and reading up on universities either in Canada or USA that offer the program you are interested. So many undergraduate schools in both countries that you can apply as a transfer student. USA is easy to be granted a visa as a transfer student than Canada. But you have to be a genuine student who wants to actually study, not simply going there to abscond into thin air and work as you earlier professed. It gives all of us a bad name and makes visas tough for future generation when you do that. So you have to promise me that before I dish out more goodies for you. That is it for now.

Am so happy I could find someone like you here who is ready to help me out...am really serious about going to study over there. I don't intend abandoning my education since I have someone who is ready to sponsor me...and I don't intend making the visa hard for the future generation. Pls how do I go about the undergraduate program and if you still hve list of schools I can apply in the US or Canada I will appreciate. Am interested in those goodies you got for me

All good and well said, except the part that if as a 300 level student he insists on applying now, that he has to start afresh. Not so. He can apply as a transfer student and go straight and start as a 300 level student and spend two years studying to be awarded a degree. The guy is redeemable, so please cut him some slacks!

Okay, that confirms my suspicisions....

Now are you ready to take my advice? I will be very blunt and harsh but if you can take it as a point in the right direction, it will stir you up and help you get the desired result.

At this very moment, I am afraid to tell you that you are NOT ready to proceed to Canada for further studies. Infact, from the way you write and react each time you respond to people's feedback, almost makes me doubt the sincerity of your stories. There are just too many loop holes in them. If you had a former classmate who went to school in USA, why didn't you ask him/her how they did it before coming here? That response you gave was rather uncalled for and shows immaturity on your part(P.s:..you know what todo about that...hint.. when wrong, do the right thing and a.p.o.l.o.g.i.s.e...). and you don't know what aCGPA is? ok what was your GPA when you stopped school in year 3?

Now to the good part. You are still young, so what I would advise you is this. Take these last 2 months of the year and read up all the parts of travel to canada and canada student thread. If you can't do all, at least start from part 9. This will help you get a full picture of what the process is like, courses to take, when and how to apply for school admission and student visa, etc. EE is the Express entry process by which people migrate to canada without going through school route. however this process is for experienced graduates. Minimum requirement is 1 year work and post secondary qualification like a diploma, OND, HND, etc..(read up).

However, if you still insist on going to school immediately, then you need to apply to an undergraduate program and begin afresh. Read up to find out more on this. If you are looking for someone to spoon feed you, then by all means get an agent. They are many around, even on this forum, looking for easy targets..and you are almost making it very easy for them. But beware, a lot of people have been burnt using agents to the extent of getting 5 year bans that even affected their immigration plans.

But if you can read up, show some sign that you have done some research, then come back here and ask for specific questions. The family here will readily assist you. We all want our fellow country man to succeed but some of our people who have gone ahead ..have spoilt a lot of things which is now reflecting negatively on students applications from Nigeria now. We want to prevent that from continuing.

whew...that is all from me. Ciao!

Thanks so much for your advice... i really appreciate, I have read a lot about the ugly experience people go through an agent, I really don't wanna be a victim of that...that's why am here to seek for you guys advice...I might have sounded so desperate and disrespectful with my choice of words but the truth is that I still don't wanna make a mistake...I really want to travel to Canada to study even if it requires going as an undergraduate...cause I know the benefit of studying there with the help of my elder brother whose going to be my sponsor...am so sorry guys if I ever offended anyone with the way I presented my words..am just a novice on this...I will also appreciate you guys advice. And
who said I don't know what CGPA( Cumulative Grade Point Average) means never knew that was what you were talking about..I really appreciate your advice and am going to Go according to your advice if you guys still have links to the part I can read I will appreciate

You still sound desperate. Take a deep breath first! If you do want to migrate legally to another country, you have to do it legally! You also need to be patient . First, finish up your 1st degree. Get a good result and look at the opportunity of going via Express Entry for Canada. There's also Australian Immigration like the Canadian Express Entry. You really don't sound like you would study if you apply for study permit. That is an action that now soils genuine students' chances of going to Canada for studies.

Sit down and reevaluate what you really want . If you are serious about going for studies, pursue it and be serious with it. You never know what the future holds for you. All the best!
I have genuine intention to study in Canada...why won't I want to study there when I know the benefits of studying there...and secondly must I have my first degree before am eligible to apply...for student visa. cause I have a course mate that left same year during our I.T on student visa to the US and he was granted the visa. &
Does the EE still require a degree?

Hello Niv25, I'm in a good mood today so let me give you some counsel.
Looking through all your post on nairaland, bros, you are sounding too desperate oh!
There are a lot of scammers online, so please be moderate in your request and do not leave yourself open to them.

First of all give us your full profile by answering the questions below and please, try and write properly so that it is easy to understand what you are saying.

1. Age - choose a range: less than 20yrs, 20- 30yrs, above 30yrs
2. Type of graduate- OND/HND/BSc
3. Programme studied at school
4. What skills are you good at?
5. what type of job have you been doing? office assistant, secretary, administrative officer, IT personnel, etc.
6. what is your CGPA?

I await your response.
Thanks much for being in good mood today...yea I admit that i sound so desperate...maybe cause am kinda getting frustrated...actually am 24 going to 25 next year...I was actually in my three hundred level...studying computer science i left school before my I.T this year after my elder bro promised to send me to south korea...which never worked cause of the country new immigration policy that delayed the visa processing...and currently he's now planing on sending me to the US or Canada...I also work in one of my brothers communication company as a supervisor...so I have a very good working experience...I have no degree for now if there is still a better way I can go about this I will appreciate your advice...cause am a kind of getting frustrated that's why I sound so desperate...I have no travelling experience and have never had any refusal before...your advice is needed on the kinda visa to apply and how to go about it... I still don't understand the meaning of CGPA...thanks much

Apply for a masters degree program or if u don't have a a 2:1 in ur undergraduate apply for a pgd is more difficult to get a study visa for while masters is easier but also difficult . Put up a very good application by including good statment of intent justifying why you want to study in Canada , why u chose not to study ur course in Nigeria , reason for choosing to study ur course, ur home ties, financial strength and what your course of study will contribute to both ur development and ur countries development in future. Also make sure u have sufficient amount in ur account to cover ur full tuition for 1 year , maintainance or cost of living for a year , minimum of 2000 CAD for flight ticket and asset in ur name and family name to show that u will return to ur home country after your authorized stay in Canada. Canada study visa is becoming more difficult day buy day so it's more of Gods favour and good application we rely on. Alternatively go through the express entry route for permanent residency which is better if u can score very high in ielts , educational background and if u have a family in Canada those will boost your score . Cheers
thanks bro how do I go about it since am not in the uni for now

"Hello FAM! I really need you guys help...actually i intend travelling to Canada on a student visa, but my main aim of travelling to Canada is to work there probably settle down there"

The above is from you.

So, I still ask again put yourself in the any VO's shoe... If you see the comment above, will you give anyone approval to come to your country?

The easiest way is to have genuine intentions which should be to actually go there and study; and it comes with a lot of perks that includes work and settle (In most cases).

But then, you have 2 other main intentions (work and settle) using study as a gateway which is sad.

If you go through this thread, you will notice lots of refusal based on "purpose of visit" which perfectly suits what you intend doing.

So, no I don't have any other idea other than have genuine study intentions.

Peace...

Bro...for sure if I have the opportunity to work and study in Canada I will grab it ..cause that's what am looking for...am having a genuine intention of working and studying in Canada...I don't intend to go on a student visa only to work when I know the benefit of working and also studying...maybe I didn't get to express myself in a better way...I really need you guys advice on applying for the student visa cause I really wanna get it...and I have a good sponsor who is ready to sponsor my trip and my schooling in Canada...thanks guys

1. Matter of choice. Read about all 3 countries vis a vis migration pathways, employment, benefits. It's your research. It's a huge one
2.Again . The internet plus your plans plus the embassy website of each country has the details
3. See number 2
4. See number 2

5. Only God knows. But you can self evaluate by checking the threads of each country for how many people with your profile that were issued visas.
Happy researching
