Please house is it a passport or international passport I need for the blocked account.

Please what time is advisable to get to the embassy for the opening of a blocked account. Also the documents that I should take along are my passport, admission letter and the form that I filled. In the form, I filled just the Ist page which is my details and another page requesting for the name of my school and location. Please am I good to go.

LillyGemm: Mine were 7 pages. Check the form on this website https://www.deutsche-bank.de/pbc/pk-studium-international_students_en.html. It's the website I was given by Deutsche bank when I emailed them about opening a blocked account. Yes it has space for branch number, customer number and BLZ. I printed mine in black and white and the embassy still certified them.

LillyGemm: Fill it in using the computer and then print it out. Leave the part for the signature to be signed at the German embassy (that's what I did) when you go to have the passport copy and bank forms authenticated.

Godson201333: Okay so you need to know that student visa can only be issued from your country and so every other necessary stuff needs to be done through German embassy in the country,Thats why either visiting,tourist,any short term visa can never be converted to student visa...So you can only open block account in your country and do everything in your country.

Point is they wanna knw weda you are smart...confident and interesting...and dnt forget to put up a smile...and dress neat n smart. Dnt stammer, Dnt form wot you are not...above all, drink water (I bought N100 bottled water)..a lot( not a gallon). It calms your nerves.
