Every Igbo man, woman and child should know that they should never trust the Northerners when it comes to politics. We must also never underestimate them, like the South-West foolishly did, by handing them the power to control our unborn generations. Ndigbo should stand as one voice and choose their own party- not APC or PDP- to represent them, much like the SNP has done in Scotland.
The biggest beneficiaries of a tamed IPOB are Igbo elite who will follow any govt in power. The likes of Arthur Eze, Rochas and Andy Uba were almost made irrelevant by IPOB but now they are reorganising their base. Such men are not interested in one Igbo voice or party. Anywhere the north goes they follow

Wetin bring GEJ enter future matter. See the apapa expressway. It was recently handed over to Dangote (from kano) who will fix it and toll it. Show me ONE piece of infrastructure in yorubaland that Buhari has built since he became President. GEJ at least gave Enugu an international airport. Funny enough NO president has given yorubas infrastructure like GEJ

THE SOUTHWEST HAVE BEEN USED AND
DUMPED, THE SOUTHEAST IS THE NEW
POLITICAL BRIDE.
WILL THE SOUTHERNERS EVER LEARN??

The North are up with their age old divide and rule play. When I saw the Kaduna midget, Hellrufai bowing to the Obi of Onitsha recently, just like Buhari was following Tinubu pretentiously like a mumu before the 2015 elections just to get what he want, I knew that the game is on.

The "one Nigeria" Igbos will be the biggest fools to fall for this latest "use and dump" strategy from the Arewa slave masters.

Those hoping to attract (crumbs) development to the southeast by going into bed with the North are not actually seeing beyond their noses. Let me ask, what has been the benefit of the much trumpeted "strategic alliance" between Tinubu and his sheepish crowd to the southwesthuh The Yorubas that were led by Tinubu to support Buhari and his APC during the 2015 presidential election have been left with nothing but frustration, misery and regrets while the wily Northerners has been looting without restraint from all sectors of the economy. CBN, NNPC, Customs,Federal Inland revenue service, Prisons, Immigration, the Military, NPA, Police, just name them. All these institutions has been turned into avenues for siphoning money from the national treasury and what is left is being used to develop infrastructure in the North!!

People should ask Issac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro Wiwa, Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ebitu Ukiwe, David Ejoor, Alex Ekwueme, the ever ready cannon fodders from the middle belt, the easily deceived Southsouth people, etc the real meaning of political alignment with the Hegemonists from the North.

The most Nnamani will get is crumbs to feed his pockets and that of his friends and relatives full stop. The south easterners will still been seen as politically foolish second class or even third class citizens who will always be bought over with crumbs and be disposed at a politically convenient time by the Arewa Power mongers.

Until I deal with the Hausa/fulanis as equals and share the gains and pains of nation building on consensual terms I will be the last Igboman to shout Hip Hip hippp! Hurray!!!!! whenever crumbs are thrown in my direction.

My dear ipob friend. Let me share with you a little history. This happened just a few years ago.

There was a time a major ethnic group such as yours in the country cried foul over treatment such as this from the FG under Jonathan. They visited the then President to express their dissatisfaction over how they were being treated. The news of their visit filtered through to nairaland and a brother of yours who happens to be a one time moderator had this to say:

Most of your brothers agreed with him by contributing both likes and shares to the comment.

Now, how about you take that comment and imagine how generous it is and them place my name in there while also replacing Tinubu with Jonathan?

Do unto others as you want others to do unto you. You should be old enough to know that basic principle of interaction.

Have a good night.
So because some Igbos on NL trolled on a thread it is justification for the SE region to be left out of a national rail plan? Try get small brain na. That thread you are hyping was at a time when yorubas on the same NL were happily posting photos of dying Igbo babies as their own form of trolling. The problem with Buhari is he doesn't reason critically; a quality you only get from sound education. Let the truth be told; US and UK governments have suported Buhari more than they did for GEJ; that's a fact. They helped elect Buhari. Instead of Buhari to work with them, he keeps doing things that are beyond the limits US and UK can take or support. Blatant; not covert, abuse of human rights is something US and UK, particularly US; will never support. When you push beyond that limit, you become their enemy because you are trying to paint them black in the eyes of the world since the US is the mirror of the world.
My greatest joy is that Trump is president of the USA. It was Obama, Kerry and Clinton that forced Buhari down our throats with all their propaganda and logistical/diplomatic support for APC and hatred for GEJ.

Buhari's illiteracy did not allow him to think well and guide his actions. Instead he chose ignorance and is dragging Nigeria back to the level of North Korea, Sudan and Niger in the eyes of the interntional community.

PoliticsRe: What Is Marginalization in Respect To Igbos by nku5:
obailala:
Marginalisation is a word that useless south eastern leaders over the years have planted in the minds of south easterners to cover up their personal sleaze and ineptitude. Of course, the marginalisation excuse always works for south eastern political elite because psychologically, the average Igbo man expects some form of victimisation from the rest of Nigeria due to the war outcome.

For your first point about roads, due to the dry solid terrain of north, even a road built in the north in 1970 would still be solid in 2017. The amount of load/traffic on the roads is another matter. Compared to southern roads, how many vehicles ply those northern roads you talk about?... We all know Nigeria has a poor maintenance culture, so even the little funds that may have been released for road maintenace over the decades, what exactly happened to those funds?.... Something strongly tells me the leaders/political elite in each region of the country have some questions to answer regarding how the little funds released for road maintenance in their zones were spent. All in all, there's certainly an explanation why the roads down south are horrible compared to the north, and that explanation is certainly not that northern head of states allocated money only for fixing northern roads.

Talking about dam projects, biko how many dam projects are in the south west?... how many are even in the so called north?... how many are functional?.... were they built by FG or state governments?... And biko, from my basic understanding, irrigation dams are useful in areas of low rainfall... So when has dam now become something to struggle for equality with the arid north?

You also mentioned Ajaokuta steel as your evidence of marginalisation of the SE. Biko, where is the iron ore located?... Does it make economic sense to site a steel plant in Anambra when the raw material is in Kogi?.... What you advocate for, isnt that going to amount to marginalisation of the middle belt?.... By the way, has the so called Ajaokuta plant produced a single billet of steel since 1981 when it was buìlt?....

I cant even imagine what the narrative would have been assuming Ajaokuta plant was at Anambra and has never been able to produce any steel till date. Of course the same old paranoid expression of ethnic 'marginalisation of ndigbo' would have been sung all the way to heaven as the reason why the plant isnt producing.

If we must all float in the same paranoid victim mentality bubble, we can as well all claim that Ajaokuta was systematically sabotaged due to ethnic hatred against middle beltans. Meanwhile while the steel plant was located at Kogi, the FG Metallurgical Institute was located at Oba Anambra even though the steel is at Kogi... I guess that isnt ethnic marginalisation against Kogi people right?.... or again you pointed out a federal institutions in osogbo and one in Kogi and you use that as your example of marginalisation?... Is the Metallurgical Institute sited at Oba Anambra not owned by the FG? undecided
Lmao @ marginalization is just a word. Just like Kami Adeosun said recession is just a word while hunger was killing people grin

1. Obviously you know next to nothing about the north for you to say that heavy rain in the SE and almost no rain in the north means their roads can last for 40 or more years. Firstly there is no scarcity of rainfall in the north, places like Borno suffer heavy flooding. Your point is so vacuous that I won't bother labouring on it. I will leave you to ask people who know a few things about the north about the state of Minna-Zungeru road which is a state road. It is a horrible death-trap. Also ask them about the Minna-Abuja road which is a federal road and is a standard dualised expressway. Why didn't the state roads not last since 1970 as you claim?

When I read you type that leaders in igboland are bad I just laugh. In the East the state roads are much better than the Federal roads which are totally gone. The exact opposite of the north...

2. If you are asking me about irrigation projects and dams instead of simply googling it I just tire but I will indulge you with some of the most recent. If you are my discussions on this thread you can see some in SW:

"The present administration under President Jonathan, also releases the sum of N10 billion to kick start the Great Green Wall Afforestation programme aimed at arresting desert encroachment and reviving the region’s eco-system.

Consequently, it has also assisted farmers in the region through the water and irrigation projects spread all over the region. The Federal Government has contracted the rehabilitation of Goronyo Dam, the 11,000 hectares Bakalori Irrigation Scheme, the Zobe Irrigation Projects, Hadejia Valley Irrigation Project, Bagwai (water dam) Irrigation Project under construction, the Kano River Irrigation Project and the Zuro Polder project, the Middle Rima River Irrigation including the expansion of Jibiya scheme and other on-going dams projects at Shagari, all in a bid to assist farmers to achieve self-sufficiency in food for the region and Nigeria as a whole."

http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/articles-opinions/jonathan-northerner-actions-achievements/

3. Like I also discussed earlier on this thread the former GM of Ajaokuta steel knows more than any nairalander so argue with his interview. For your information there is Iron Ore in Anambra state. Trying to use Metallurgical School as evidence of anything is laughable. The federal govt built machine tools factories, dams, irrigation schemes for agriculture, roads, pipeborne water etc in the north and south west and built training school in the east and you expect us to celebrate wickedness? Big joke

Please name the LOT OF IRRIGATION Projects in SW that are FG projects

SE should Compare itself to Akwa Ibom + Cross River which has similar size to entire SE and similar geography and is doing very well agriculturally Not to the North.
How can you be making sensible comparison between "North" and "SE" are they equals . SE is SMALLER than Kogi state
So according to you the FG just gave Ilesha water after 50 years of Nigeria under Aregbesola and that amounts to marginalization
of your people?.They had been without potable water for 40 years and did not start burning tyres and that is fine until they get water then that is a problem for your people

Do you use your head at all?
Find something tangible to say please.

I don't know more than anyone but I use my head.

There is Iron ore in Itakpe and it makes sense to site a steel project there rather than Onitsha where there is no Iron. What he said is opinion without facts or evidence.#

Next you will tell us Nigeria capital should have been Nnewi or the Apapa Port Complex should have been in Enugu
If you want a lecture you would have to pay for it. Water in Osogbo homes for the first time since time of Yakubu Gowon is evidence that SW has received federal government infrastructure.

The SE is an established geo-political region with about 50 million people so your argument about landmass and kogi state is as flat and as worthless as your claim to superior knowledge of Ajaokuta than the former GM.

You are just clutching at straws because you have said nothing sensible.
1. Yep the Federal has done a lot of irrigation projects in the north and south-west to boost agriculture. How can you say irrigation is only for places with little rainfall? Hahahahahaha!! You don't know jack about farming obviously. The federal govt has also brought potable water to homes in the south west.

Guy get some knowledge- "The Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has commended the Federal Government for its huge efforts towards provision of potable water to the people of the state, in particular Ilesha town. The truth about Nigeria is that Lagos and Abuja are the only places with federal presence in Nigeria. Everywhere else in Nigeria suffers the same lack of federal presence.

Anything which is lacking in the south east is also lacking even more in the North-East and the middle belt for instance. If we claim the south east was de-industrialised by Nigeria, can we you kindly point out any single place in Nigeria (besides Lagos and Abuja) that has any single form of functioning industries?...

As a matter of fact, using your example of the recent railway modernisation project, the Calabar to Lagos rail at least touches the south eastern city of Aba. Can we mention a single north eastern city which the proposed new rails pass through?
1. Have you been to the north before? Have you seen the Federal roads there? Whether from Minna to Sokoto or Abuja to Kaduna you cannot find ANY federal road that has not been dualised and able to accomodate four lanes on either side. Or do you want to talk of the numerous dam projects and irrigation schemes in the north and south-west?

2. In addition to other industries the federal government set up Nigerian Machine Tools Ltd in Osogbo in 1980 (an obasanjo initiative), set up Ajaokuta Steel for the north. None in the SE...
