For about two days now i've been hearing one kain stinking news like dat on social media. They speculate that an Igbo person is about to be appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation in place of the Grasscutter whose alleged corruption Buhari has been covering up.

Thank God we heard this early on. Let me say my mind before it happens. I think this trend of thought (Igbo SGF under Buhari at this time) is an egregarious insult on the Igbo race and it is sooooo infuriating that i'm finding it difficult marshaling my thoughts.

Considering an Igbo person for that position only AFTER your own preferred people have proven utterly useless and worthless shows Buhari takes Ndigbo only as a second option. Ah, how damn insolent! Now that his South West allies are subtly indicating a parting of ways especially through the merciless battering he's receiving from the Lagos-Ibadan media axis, this Buhari who had no qualms showing his dismissive disdain for Ndigbo now wants to play childish politics by courting Ndigbo whom he and his supporters expressly and impliedly branded all sorts of idiotic names.

Speaking for myself, it's way tooooooo late for Buhari to attempt any sort of fence-mending with Ndigbo.

Attitudes have hardened and his image as a great Igbo-hater has been indelibly etched in the Igbo mind such that even if he offers an Igbo person the VP slot toward 2019 (yes, we know it's all about manipulating the South East towards 2019 elections, nothing else!) no right thinking Onye Igbo will consider Buhari anything less than who he has revealed himself to be - someone who only considers the South East as part of Nigeria when he wishes to collects taxes, drill oil or send soldiers against an Igbo group who NEVER bore a single firearm prior to the arrival of the soldiers.

If the South East has survived two-and-a-half
years of not just dangerous exclusion but also a
storm of inexplicable abuse as dessert for that
exclusion, surely the region WILL DEFINITELY
survive the rest of the tenure.
