Even if your wife says she does not want a white wedding, at least offer, and let her think about it. |

I believe the problem here is the rising profile of AKS, which is attracting a lot of investments, migration etc and making them better known in Nigeria, compared to before. Many of the newer states are in a similar position, but AKS especially because they have proximity to the sea and oil.
In former years, AKS was not really considered "celebrity" status, unlike now when the state and indigenes are more exposed and they seem to have lots of ongoing development.
And with the current situation in SA, AKS might need to create opportunities and places for returning Nigerians to settle or relocate to. We've heard so much about the improvements etc that are going on in the state. Although, on the other hand, people should also ask nicely (or negotiate properly), for what they want, I wouldn't know if this is the right way to go about it.
Just my opinion. |

Just so wicked, just making us girls feel like we are snobbish
Arrgggh, coward motherfuckers oh jeez, please do not bring this issue up again. I just called out somebody who posted a pornographic write up about how he did whatever with a lady who was stinking and odoriferous. Can we give it a rest and stop helping out the idiot. Why not "outside Lagos" instead of "excluding Lagos"?
You can't remove Lagos from Yorubaland, what we can do is consider the strategic niche of Lagos in the southwest.
And, what's going on with that zlatan fellow? He really gets on my nerves. |

Hauwa read your response along with others and asked me if I will protect her and I promised I will. She loves me too much to dump the relationship because someone on the net says so.

Breaststroke: Tpiar, as far as I know every female on nairaland is at the receiving end of utterly negative stereotypes, not just Yoruba women. I didn't check out the thread, but on nairaland we are all lumped together irrespective of tribe.
It ranges from 30+ females being labelled as evening newspapers, to stvpid feminists for having a contrary view/opinion as a woman, whores (a.k.a farm tools) to gold diggers...........and the list just goes on and on. That's true, but sometimes there's a concerted effort to project a certain image on segments of the population, in this case, Yoruba women. Check the thread in question and especially page 8. |
