After the one Jesus did? ![]() |
Everyone has that person or persons who just don't fit in with their crowd, and you wonder, how is possible for somebody to be this way. Always contradicting everything you stand for, doesn't share your values, opinions, way of life, etc. Never on anyone's good side, always a bad person. Here's how to relate with such - As Nigerians say, don't carry it on your head. Live and let live, stop giving yourself unnecessary stress by constantly making efforts to get them to be like you. They are not you. - Understand they are individuals and their temperament does not match your own. That's ok, it's not a crime and it's how God made them just as he made you with your own temperament. -Let them be if you don't understand them. Stop trying to. -Don't try to make things more difficult for them with your constant criticisms and nonacceptance. If they are not disturbing you, don't disturb them or invade their personal space. (A Nigerian thing). Respect the boundaries they set for themselves even if you feel such boundaries are unnecessary. Remember, you are not them. -They provoke you in some way during your interactions? (Some people might be experts at quiet provocation). Avoid them for your own peace of mind. -Recognize your own prejudices when present - Look at your exact reasons for disliking or hating this person or persons. Be honest with yourself, are you biased against them? -Just run your own race and let them run theirs. Your paths don't have to cross. Don't force interaction. |
In some cultures, women cross the street when they see a black person. It depends on where you are. As per the topic, is it not exhausting always being fixated on sex and sexual matters? I dont know how you folks do it.I went through some of the comments and was just smh. |
jimyjames:None of these people care for your pathetic behaviour, quit using their photos to try and intimidate me. All your scheming is getting you nowhere , work on yourself. If you like gather millions on my behalf with the expectation they are fighting me for you, ara tie lon se. Have you helped yourself, talking about helping another person. I'll soon report your posts so they can be removed and I also recommend you for a ban. Jobless fellow. |
jimyjames:Sorry for you. Would you like me to do the same thing you're doing, or you feel some Yorubas have a problem with me mentioning amala? Either way, its pathetic you're like this. |
jimyjames:Fixed. |
What kind of immaturity is the OP displaying? I went through some of your topics and was smh. For example, you say you're based in a particular part of Nigeria yet you're typing anyhow on the forum like someone lying? |
jimyjames:Dont speak for Igbos if you are a xenophobe. That's not what they need right now. |
raker300:Did you check my posts on the thread? Any resemblance between both photos? ![]() |
jimyjames:Xenophobic, just like I thought. Quite obvious, really. |
Can anyone clear up this confusion about the identity of the person in the video? ![]() |
jimyjames:Who are you? ![]() |
jimyjames:We all have to share this continent, don't post if you have nothing to say. Also, quit following my posts. ![]() |
chennaija:Yoruba Muslims you observed might be skinny due to paying attention to their diet and weight. Many Yorubas are dark, same as other Nigerians, therefore your colour comment is not entirely valid. |
You folks are implacable. Been looking for where/when to drop that word. |
There are no credit unions in Nigeria though. They're called something else. |

This is the Nigerian Consul General in China: http://shanghai.ngconsulate.org/en/ Can site admin do something about all these fake news and fake threads. |
ok, why are there multiple topics on nairaland showing Igbos who say they don't have accommodation in foreign countries? ![]() |
darfay:People were minding their own business when some folks took it upon themselves to accuse Yorubas of appropriating Egusi soup. Was it Yorubas who started that or why are you saying Yorubas are dragging other people's soup? ![]() Go through all the soup threads on nairaland, you'll see Yorubas have never debated anybody's soup nor shown unnecessary interest in soups that are not theirs. The provocateurs here are not Yorubas. Why would Yorubas be dragging soup with any tribe? They're not that immature. |
1. Where is this? 2. Have the Nigerians received assistance for their predicament ie have they found accommodation? 3. Where are Nigerian officials and their names so people can actually verify this story/video 4. What are the official mediation channels for that type of situation? 5. Is the Nigerian embassy aware? 6. Is there a liaison office or department on ground to handle issues like these? 7. If the Nigerian embassy cannot get involved for whatever reason, have the state governments and/or cultural organizations been contacted? |
BruncleZuma:If you say you're Nigerian and need assistance in a foreign country, especially in a situation like this, the first place you go if you know nobody, is the Nigerian embassy. I wasn't aware this is to be debated. The embassy does not have the answers to everything but they should at least be told there are Nigerian citizens in the situation described by the op and the video? You people should also stop saying anyone who has a contrary opinion to yours, is "thinking highly" of "your enemy". Emotionally subjective discourses are not always what's required, learn to consider other stuff. What did your experiences at two Nigerian embassies involve? You can check these, dunno if they're real or not: https://www.nairaland.com/5784064/nigeria-official-confronts-chinese-official#88272102 https://www.nairaland.com/5784020/breaking-nigeria-ambassador-china-collected |
darfay: scholes0:I'd have asked when did Isoko and Yoruba start quarreling, but there's one ahnie lady who specializes in jumping people for no reason. |
