Professor Chioma Whom is a lawyer and an upright one at that. I am sure justice will be served if the victim comes forward.

But the sexual predator may go as it free if nobody testifies against him.

I had thought Linda will be willing to come forward to substantiate her claims and give credibility to the info she disseminates.

I have experienced format 3 in Surulere long ago. I met the man and two people I presumed to be the wife (passenger's side) and a man at the back at Babs Animashaun. He spoke to me in a familiar manner(in Igbo language) asking where I was headed and I told him. I thought he knew me from our church that was very close to my house. I confirmed I ddnt know him when he told me the fare for the journey.

Shortly after he argued with man at the back saying he had big denomination and told him to get off the car around Bode Thomas junction. The man obliged and then came back begging. I ddnt say anything. Later the woman in front started haggling her fare claiming she was overcharged.

That was when the driver feigning anger reproached her claiming she had 'dollars' in Ghana must go bag in his boot and that he wants his share. The man at the back with me joined in.

By then I already realised they were fraudsters. I shouted at the driver to stop the car that I ddnt want to go anymore. Thankfully, he stopped along Bode Thomas just before Eric Moore junction and I got down.

That was how God saved me.

Worst is if tell these drivers to be careful, they will angrily tell that they are experienced riders and know what they are doing but rather you are unnecessarily fearful.

The day I slapped one for jumping dangerously in front of car, he said the same thing. I told him I was sure that's what his other dead and injured colleagues must have said before they met their fate.

Should public officials acting under their own whims and caprices be able to hide under the law by claiming to act vicariously under authority of their employer (ie the government ie us the citizens for whom the government acts)?

This means that as long as the case is presented competently and in time, justice should be had.

I was surprised the teacher the not raise the defence of public officers protection Act. But then, I believe this case was swiftly decided and culprit punished because the Governor himself intervened. Remember, the post said the Governor assigned the case to the commissioner of justice. So such a person will not likely hide behind the provision of the Public Officers Protection Act.

Plus these days with more awareness being created it the social media, judges will be more careful in allowing a guilty go Scot free with the excuse of public officers protection Act unless of course the person is part of the upper class.

My issue with the post is that she said she reported to her Sunday school teacher but was told to simply sit down. The question now is - why didn't she report to her parents/guardian and if she did, what was their reaction?

I believe this step is long overdue.

The tailor showed no remorse for her actions as evidence by her apology to mercy aigbe for the supposed embarrassment caused her by the entire episode. The real victim was just mentioned in passing in the said apology. More So, the tailor claimed that mercy aigbe approached her to make a dress that is strikingly similar to the victim's dress hence the confusion by the dispatch guy who Mary's dress to the bride and the bride's to mercy.

Mercy in an attempt to save face and pretend not to know she wore another's dress claimed not to have known or met the tailor prior to the incident and that it was her 'stylist' that approached the tailor to hire a dress for her birthday shoot. She then ended it by implying she'll sue the tailor.

They are both complicit in this incident and deserve every embarrassment, inconvenience and punitive measures meted to them for ruining someone's wedding day for their selfish gains.

That American lady that insulted him and is being prosecuted will be rejoicing now. They'll soon celebrate her as a fearless person in that country.

I graduated from Unilag faculty of law in '07 and it was the rule then. In fact there was this particular lecturer in order to check students who put down their friend's name in the attendance sheet, he will call out all the names on the attendance sheet and if you were not there to answer your name for any reason, you'll be marked as absent (even if you attended the class) and the persons whose names are before and after yours will asked to produce you, (cos the presumption is that they are your friends who wrote down your name).

It got so bad that if anyone writes his name before or after yours, you'll be watching the person like a hawk to ensure he doesnt leave the class cos you cant go and be looking for someone you dont know.

The long and short of my story is the law students are talking BS cos they know or ought to have known about the existence of that rule cos its as old as Methuselah

We cannot put the blame on whoever raised him. The person may have been a good salesman but Daddy freeze is just a bad product. He is 40 for crying out loud! And should be able to advice himself now.

My question simply is, was there ever a time we had anything like middle school in Nigeria? If we had middle school education system in Nigeria how come nobody heard of it save our dear president and his classmates who attended.

I know my late father who died at 78 in 2011 never mentioned anything like middle school during his life time.

Im really interested in knowing who apart from our president and his 'classmates' in the pix attended a middle school in Nigeria and which middle school was that particularly in the south.
