Is not news that the south east people of Nigeria have been loyal to PDP since 1999 but yet the PDP finds it unworthy to present someone from the zone for presidency or even vice presidency while in power.. The only time the PDP presented someone of South East extraction for vice presidency was when they were out of power and already knew their chances of winning is slim and so they had to bring in Peter Obi to disgrace him and anambra people.
The South East can't continue to be quite and rumours already have it that the PDP presidential ticket has been zoned to the north, so south east is already excluded. I think rather than wait the rest of the south east governors, senators and house of rep members should make a hay while the sun shines and not towards 2023 when everything would have been lost. They should join Umahi and fight for the east and not leave him alone in the fight

For you to understand why the south south do not speak igbo you have to understand a bit the history of Nigeria. Hausa is prominent in the north because of conquest, a dominant emirate which spread its influence alongside its Religion before the white man came. But the Igbos in the east had no Emirate, infact they had no kings but were divided into little communities these little communities based on kinship had no power nor influence to project its language. Secondly hundreds of deities existed and these deities were tied to a community. E.g if an igbo village worships a stream or a tree it cannot preach its Iroko tree or stream religion in another place simply cause the tree or the stream does not exist there, but muslims can just point to the sky and talk about Allah and how allah can hear you anywhere cos allah is everywhere but the IROKO deity is static and not everywhere. Language projection has to do with power projection and the small igbo villages were too small and too many with so much differences to project these. They preferred staying on their own deep in their forest. But igbos were able to spread some aspect of their culture through means like trade and marriage etc. If this is purely inquisitory then acquire knowledge but if this is merely political or tribal inflammation then Bleep off.

If igbo was accommodating just like Hausa it would have been a lingual fraca in the whole old Eastern region of Nigeria made of SE and SS. It doesn't mean the minorities won't speak and know their dialect but just like how Hausa is the lingual franca in the North West and North East and even some parts of North Central like plateau, nasarawa speak Hausa as lingual franca but it doesn't mean the minorities there don't know and speak their own dialect.
Rather what we see is even the ones who are actually igbo denying their route.. Well you won't blame them because igbo itself is too divided and not accommodating. This is a loss for the igbos because ordinarily they should be influential tribe in Nigeria politics which would have even helped reshape the business environment of Igbos

Probably not. Igbos have a way of attracting hate towards themselves by always projecting it onto others.

They are divisive and hateful. Extremely insultive and religiously/ethnically intolerant. They talk down on everyone they come across everywhere they go and arrogantly feel superior to others based on nothing other than tales they are told about some mythical greatness.

It is therefore not difficult to hate Igbos as a reaction to what Igbos do to others. That is very different to what Igbos do which is to hate and fight people because of their gender, caste, ethnicity, religion, political and sectional leanings.
